Nox is nowhere near as good as Diablo, and that's because it's better.
- Multiplayer is (or rather, was) flat out better. It's not about collecting and pouring X time into your character. Everyone starts on level playing field, there are modes like Free For All, Capture The Flag and so on.
- Playing skill matters in Nox. Try shooting bow, crossbow or fireballs. Or Death Ray. You need to aim these things, and with the fast pace of Nox it's not trivial. But I never had issues hitting stuff in Diablo.
- There are reasons to use different spells. Also in multiplayer. Missiles of Magic are okay and very easy to hit, but not very cost effective. Lightning jumps from target to target and is efficient, but requires you to stand still which is a Big Deal in that game. Fireball is hard to hit with and may harm you. Death Ray has limited range, is very expensive (3 casts from full mana) and requires pinpoint accuracy.
- Sound is just better, and I mean sound effects. Very varied, detailed and interesting.
- No creature resistances. You choose spells based on situation, a fireball is harder to hit with but can kill a group.
- very advanced line of sight makes exploration a joy. Also fun in multiplayer. Diablo III doesn't even appear to have line of sight, most of the time monsters just jump out of closets or are summoned.
- more varied spells and skills. Fumble makes opponent drop his weapon. Run makes it impossible to stop. You can temporarily lock doors. Conjurers can summon any single player creature and bombers (in additions to ranged weapons and spells they have). Wizards can create traps. Bombers and traps can use any 3 spells, you can design your own traps. Invisibility. Teleport to marker. Vampirism. Bounce spells back to attacker. Create walls, charm creatures, place long lived clouds of poison, flames etc. Many spells can be cast on allies, even on creatures. Manipulate items on ground with telekinesis. Swap Location (a form of teleport).
- In Diablo, you have 1 skill on your left mouse button and another on right button. Plus some hotkeys (F1...) to switch. Nox has asdfg keys to cast, which means at any point you can cast 5 different spells... AND you switch between 5 spell sets. You can have different sets of spells for various situations, for example against warriors and against wizards, and against summoned monsters.
- more varied melee weapons, for example weapons have "range" attribute and it's very noticeable. Blocking with shields or weapons is active and works 100% of the time, you just can't move.
- Locations can have multiple levels connected by lifts. You can drop down holes, too.
EA screwed up with Nox. They should've supported the game and marketed it better (underline differences between Diablo and Nox, particularly multiplayer). EA killed Westwood, the developer of Nox. Nox is what Diablo could be if it was created by creative people.

I would much prefer Nox 2 to Diablo 3, as long as it was made by the same people. Not an FPS, thank you :-).

I was thinking same. Suppose you work your business for 5 hours, get 200$ and spend 20 of them for 2 relics from Blizzard. You end with 180 bucks and 2 relics. The other who farmed for 5 hours (what I say, 5 weeks) got most probably nothing, no bucks, no relics. Well, he got "skill" for sure, but in PVP I will mangle him from first shot and I still have my 180 bucks and 2 Windforce.

Trade.
My friend gets rich by buying expensive items from clueless newbs and selling them to pro PvPers for either great price in runes/items or (in some cases in the past) real life money.
He never farms past first pul-um. Doesn't have to. At the end of each ladder he has hundreds of high runes, albeit shorter ladder seasons discouraged him from playing this year.

Now you are able to "buy" artifacts for a real money $$$
That's sooo cheap of Blizzard!
I spit in their face for that!
I've just learned about that "always online" thing(don't make fun of me) and checking for earlier posts seen this and so now also learned this artifact selling charade. Also there will be no "pause" option while playing even a single player. I'm just beggin for Blizzard to change their minds about these.
OK, I use a desktop so "always online" is not a real problem for me but there are many notebook users. Will they not be able play the game they have paid for to play whenever they want?
What is this artifact thing? Then what's the fun on looting? Looting is the primary pleasure in Diablo and they have decided "let's just kill that aspect of the game with our greed for money".
And no pausing is the bigger joke. So everytime I want to pause the game I will town portal now just to make sure my char will not die? How could they accept such a thing that a sane person would just say "ahahah yeah that would be a nice joke" and the thing would be forgotten.
No,no. They will make their minds and change these. I refuse to believe these things will remain as they are.

I liked it until the girl woke up. The rest was not terrible but not impressive for sure. The music was terrible so. I hope the game's music is not like this. I liked LOD's every track, especially town, considering its the same composer. But I'll miss Matt Uelmen for sure. Diablo 2-Act 1-Town and Wilderness are still the best game music I have heard.

I don't like that the Angels look like humans.
The lore says that they only look like that for humans, and that their true form looks more like their wings. So I guess they look like Cthulu with also those tentacles. >.>
