Umm sorry? It seems to me that's the most ignorant post ever, "we did download closed beta just fine, so there's no way there might be something wrong with open beta".
Amplitude between amount of people that downloaded closed beta and the number of people who are downloading open beta is too big, there's simply too much people downloading it at the same time, thus people experience either a blank page (Server has reached maximum amount of simultaneous connections), or people experience low speeds due to big amount of people downloading it at the same time, hence a server's limited bandwidth's shared between people downloading it. It might also occur that some people are getting extremely high speeds while others get low speed because of that.

I'm afraind he's right. I was able to download (partially, 85% of the file then it got stuck ) the closed beta in 20 minutes with the connection I have home. Now for the open beta I have a speed of 70kB\s. lol

Same here, and a lot of people are reporting the same issue on Facebook. Ubi dropped the ball in a big way.

Just to point out that the Beta is now downloadable on Steam (check your library, it should be there). Still, it's just past midnight here, so I'll just put it on download over the night and play later.

Sigh, I knew I should have pre-ordered from Steam instead of the Ubishop. Oh well, I guess.

Ok so I went on the mmh6.com/beta and then logged on my ubisoft accoun, but then it goes back http://mightandmagic.uk.ubi.com and then it doesnt show where I have to activate the key but only shows the News n that website. Anbody knows how to solve this?

"Internet Access Problem
Unable to access internet.Please verify your connection. You can change network settings in the settings view"

Did you try mmh6.com/beta again after you logged in? Since I already had a key all it took was entering and logging in, then a download page appeared. Which doesn't load but anyway. Otherwise.. maybe try to enter the key before you login? Cannot remember if that works.

It loaded at last (after the 100-th time) but anyway the download speed is ridiculously LOW - about 60 KB/s...so....19 hours to go! They've done super server load testing...have no words...

There's a ton of reasons why it occur, but the chance of them being a real issue is under 1%. The only sensible reasons are:
1. Firewall (Either your own, or windows firewall) blocking out the connection (70% probability).
2. Router port redirection (lets say, 5% probability that's that).
3. Your own connection provider blocking out necessary ports to start the game (5% probability)
4. Ubisoft servers are overloaded (10% probability)
5. Other unknown issue with your game installation, or something you didn't do while you had to (i don't have it downloaded yet so i can't exactly say). (10% probability)
Thats why, check your firewals two, three times over, check your heroes folder if there's something wrong. Also if you are living in student dorms it might be blocked out by someone >.>.
