yes... The first one is new Goblin dwelling. The last one is new tavern. (because the middle one have same parts as original tavern). 1 and 2 are based on NWC concepts by the way. So this is still canonical structures

Well, most H3-related projects (HotA and all Forge variants in particular) are not something where new stuff happens at a daily basis.
Monthly, yes.

I am still concerned about the music that you are going to use in Forge.
Ever since even the theme of Conflux was rushed, and that Paul Romero supposedly didn't make an official theme for it (since none of those 5 songs that were "leaked" some time ago aren't even confirmed to be his work - I did send Mr. Romero an e-mail asking for this, but a month since then has passed and I got no answer - which I guess makes sense. But if he at least sent me a short "No." I would be fine with it. I am fine with any negatives responses, but goddamn, just let us know, since lack of an answer is worse than the harshest one.)

Funny, you link to your own thread where you only assume it was rushed.

I never said that - I just quoted myself, essentially.
It might have been rushed for all we know.

When it comes to Forge and Armageddon's Blade, there's only speculation at this point.

I'm still for using the Unicron Medley form the Youtube tribute http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=asgFsfvU8cM, as it fits the Town's atmosphere perfectly. Of course, that's just me; the HotA team will probably compose its own Forge theme, as they have done for Cove.

I wonder what wonders they can come up with - we've already seen the mastwork Cove.
But given the rate at which they're going, we aren't going to see a HotA Forge for a while.

EDIT: We could also go for one of the battle themes from HoMM IV (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rNxUvXmqroQ - this one).

Heh, discussing tastes is so complex... The town's atmosphere is apocalyptic, the track you link to keeps a decent level until 0:20 then it goes Starkey and Hutch style, 80% made of drums and guitars, good for a 80' TV show.

Myself I would use one of those two tracks. They both inflict fear and qualm.

Now watch as it turns out that Paul Romero is secretly making a Forge theme right now (implying there never was one).
Also, not enough Polish propaganda. :3

Salamandre, you have a point regarding the first part of the tribute theme being the most fitting. The others might be a bit off, but, again, it is a matter of taste. The themes you posted are both beautiful, but become progressively fast and chaotic, therefore, again, not fitting with the "apocalyptic" atmosphere.

Hobbit, your theme is also good, but sounds better suited for one of the "mainstream" factions, e.g. the Heroes II Warlock town.

Regarding Paul Anthony Romero's alleged Forge tracks, I've gone over them several times now and just can't make up my mind. They vaguely sound like his work, but, as Hobbit pointed out, don't sound like Heroes themes. But there is the transcript "proof". Is it really proof? Considering that Paul hasn't answered for a month now, we may never know...

Few years have passed since I uploaded my Forge Tribute to YouTube and I must agree that Unicron Medley feels a bit *too much* futuristic.

Recently, as you may know, a screenshot of an e-mail from P. A. Romero appeared in internet along with few music files. The Great One suggested that the Track 33 is well suited for Forge Theme. And I must say that I fell in love with it. If it's truly his work, then I think this one absolutely MUST BE chosen for Forge, hands down.

You can listen to it here: Track 33 from P. A. Romero

It doesn't feel that much Heroes-y, but I agree that it's not the worst of themes.
If there was a truly official theme dedicated to Forge, I'm sure it would be somewhat shorter and a bit more action would go on.

Even the somewhat long Tower theme got a few fierce-ish moments (especially at the end - God, it gives me shivers every. Single. Time.)

Also, which Juggernaut/Dreadnought concept is going to be the one used?
I know that earlier in this thread you (can't remember who exactly - sorry, but I have a fairly bad memory) said about using the Sentinel/Assassin/Seeker Droids from M&M.
But I saw this picture on Zielievitz's Forge Town Project page and honestly, I feel like they've got the most faithful design (might look a bit too hitech, but after all they were supposed to be "pure mechanical" units.

Line up has been changed several months ago. It looks something like this:

1. Pyro
2. Goblin
3. Cyborg (zombie)
4. Ogre
5. ??? (haven't seen anything that would explain what it will be)
6. Minotaur
7. ??? (completely new beast or something similar to Naga Tank)

So everything is possible actually.

So Gobs are now lvl2?
Goddamnit, I was hoping to see a canon lvl1 *un-upgraded* ranged unit. (thus Master Gremlins don't count)

But I guess if they happened to be lvl1 it would instantly make them the best lvl1 unit in the game.

LARGER EDIT:
Also, I had an idea for a special building (dunno if anyone here is still taking ideas, but hey, I am going to leave it here).

[INSERT FITTING NAME HERE] - for a *small* cost, here you can turn Goblins and Hobgoblins into Grunts, Walking Dead and Zombies into Cyber-Dead, Ogres and Ogre Magi into Stingers and Minotaurs and Minotaur Kings into Jump Soldiers.

Think Grove's Pillars of Magic/Necro's Skeleton Transformer combined with the Hill Fort/Fort on the Hill (can't remember the name exactly, because dem translations)

That was the case until you changed the lineup (not saying it's a bad thing), and now it doesn't really make sense.

Well, in my opinion they are absolutely perfectly fitted!

I do understand your and Hobbit's point. However this is Forge, a nation which "by definition" is different than all other 10 nations. And as music should fit its nation, we should expect that it will be different than standard Heroes themes. What would you expect, another Grass theme?

Forge is about wastelands, about death, void. This is what I would expect from music: being sad, calm and still a bit futuristic. And the themes which were released fit these expectations perfectly well imho. I really hope HoTa Crew will use them and put in the game. If not - I will still do it manually.

The only thing which worries me is track 33. While it's prefectly suited to Forge, I don't think it's adequate for being Town music - there is no real theme in it, at least not until 3:00. That would be to different compared to other towns, and not good in itself. A town should have a theme. Actually, none of 5 released tracks seem to have a proper "town" character.

I would like to suggest HoTa Crew - please do use those tracks as background music (e.g. on main map) and... write your own for the town itself. With Cove, you proved that you have excellent musicians. And so I have absolutely no doubts that you can make astonishing Forge Main Theme

AFAIR don_ko said these themes sound like anything but H3, so I'm afraid they won't use them anywhere in HotA. Though they can be inspired by them.

And I don't think it would be bad while every music piece in HotA is great, even if it lasts for about two seconds. ;P
