Prison Break was like popcorn: tasty and enjoyable but mostly empty. Still, Recommended.
Lost was great until around season 5, when it became apparent the writers had no idea where they were going with any of it. The finale was almost as disappointing as Dexter's. (Ok, not even close. But still disappointing.)

I've never seen my mom being as remotely as pissed about a show than with Lost. Couldn't get over the disappointment with the last seasons for a few weeks or so.
Watched season 1, but stopped a couple of episodes before the season finale - I found it pretty boring, actually, and a complete waste of time.
I agree about Prison Preak being popcorn. They deliver a lot of adrenaline and cliffhangers en masse - and the end isn't that bad either.
Orphan Black is ok-ish - nothing to freak out about, but enjoyable.
Started watching Sons of Anarchy which is ultra cool. Sopranos on Harleys with a hefty portion of Hamlet at the center.
I also was immediately hooked on the basic idea behind Bates Motel, and halfway through the first season I'm not disappointed; it works the way it's probably intended and leaves you with a feeling of unease. It's also rather fast-paced - crap hits the fan quite soon and quite repeatedly.
Don't laugh - I've been watching season 1 of GoT (yeah, yeah, I know, but I read the books, and, you know, in my age things can wait - season 2 and 3 are already waiting in the drawer) and I have to say that the show is basically proving how awesome the story is and the characters are. Great fun, although things start slowly which I don't mind at all, knowing about what to come. Quite cool. I watch the show with English language, and the British diction of all those non-US actors must sound pretty outlandish in the states. "Sarah Connor" as Queen Cersei isn't too bad. The only disappointing thing is, that they artificially aged the kids which are all a couple of years too old, avoiding problems with minor actors and explicit scenes that way.
Still - fun.
Lastly, I have no idea how the US remake of the British show "Shameless" is which consists of 11 seasons of which I've beeb watching 7 by now; while I had a look into a trailer of two, there is no way the Yanks can reach the "shameless factor" of the Brits. For one thing, the US actors look actually rather decent in comparison.
I also like Brit Frank's slogan:
Make poverty history -
Cheaper drugs now!

I thought it worked the other way around...
Lost indeed turned out to be the biggest hoax in TV writing, I remember discussing here (or was it another thread) that Battlestar Galactica was also guilty of the same thing. Presenting puzzles and pseudo-clues and when they turn out impossible to explain all at once, taking the "deus ex machina" road and simply telling us, well, it was all just destiny somehow. BG was not as off the track as Lost, though.
I watched and finished Sons of Anarchy as it aired, one thing that's always very good about it was the music. They picked not much known, yet interesting artists and threw around lovely songs all over the show. There are a few, unofficial, fan-based soundtrack collections you can download as torrents and they will introduce you to some not so famous performers that you'll really enjoy.
The show itself never gets real awful but there were times that I simply wondered why dont they just take off, instead of getting tortured by this dominatrix mother and her overblown conspiracies. And why is she herself so obsessed with keeping the motorcycle club up and running when all she talks about is preserving her family and keeping them safe. But let me not give spoilers. Overall, it was a good show.

I'm not THAT old, you know.
Seriously, I'm in an age where you can see things for what they are - mostly, that is -, and there is no shortage of TV shows and no shortage of good ones even - or those that will hold your interest. And in the end it boils down to NOT pay the price they demand when it's new, but just wait, until it's a bargain (since I'm in the creative media business as well I'm generally against all forms of pirating, although I have no intention to discuss that ot force that onto people).
An additional point with GoT has been - I know the story, so it's like, ok, they got Sean Bean for Eddard Stark - but I already know that his performance will be rather short-lived (even though they actually manage to keep him alive somewhat longer than I'd have thought from the pacing of the books.
However, I'll freely admit that the show feels awesome. It has this feel that it blows everything similar just out of the water - and to know what I mean, I'll also freely admit that I was bored to death when I watched Lord of the Rings part I in a movie theater and couldn't get myself to waste any time at all with parts 2 and 3.
Also, watching the show ONLY, I had a sudden flash of insight about I *I* would end the cycle in case I would write this (and while this may sound somewhat strange - what does it matter how *I* would do it - I did wrote a fantasy novel that got published as well, so I'm maybe more qualified than the next guy) - couldn't imagine anything, which may be a consequence of the fragmented kind of story telling in the books that certainly got worse with time.
There is another reason why waiting pays - you don't want to get caught by a really nasty cliffhanger and have to wait 3 quarters of a year for the continuation, so it's always a good thing to have something "up the sleeve" should that really happen.
Writing that, a show that's really grown on me (or, in this case, us, as my wife agrees) is "Haven".
Season 1 somewhat started off interesting, but developed really slow and, well, somewhat aimless and all - until it suddenly picked up the pace along the second half, enough so to give season 2 a try which turns out rather interesting.
And since we are at SK influenced stuff, a different kind of beast was Dead Zone. That one worked quite well as lomng as it followed along the lines of the book, but obviously had to change tack eventually, unless they wanted the show to end after season 1. Took a really disappointing development, so much so that I stopped watching it somewhere along the line.

So, you have a book, nice, I only got three stories published (they were in fact more like poetic prose rather than traditional stories with fictional characters). It was some very respected, high-brow literature magazine, not some "we welcome young talents" type of platform and I was 20, I was the youngest ever published in there, so it created a fuzz, especially in my family and everybody started to ask when is the book coming, when is the book coming, what is your next project etc. In the end, it backfired, it felt like writing was my sanctuary and they took it and transformed it into some type of duty... I still wish to get back at it and finish at least one book though, something meaningful and beautiful to leave behind...
Is your novel only in German or has it been translated to English (since Turkish would be a very long shot)? I'd like to read it if it got translated.

Only in German and out of print, but just got an e-book republishing. Got good ratings mostly.
Dostojewski title rip-off but that s not my fault
I'v been thinking about re-visiting Halgor the Ace a couple of times since I had a somewhat promising plot - but I'm probably watching too many TV shows and waste too much time playing AoW 3 and stuff to find the time.
The first time I did it to prove I could do it, and since I did that the pressure has somewhat dissipated. The "problem" is, I AM a passable writer, but I'm somewhat picky with plots - they must satisfy my curiosity, so-to-speak, to follow its intricacies, which is a problem.
I have a story published as well - I nearly forgot; an excursion into SF and the future of cyberdating.
I also edited a couple of novels in my time.

Currently watching Scrubs - I have never seen the show and I am currently at season 5. Great show, but it is obvious that humor is 10-14 years older.
Then I am basicly just watching shows that are still running. The Walking Dead, TBBTheory, Family Guy, American Dad, Modern Family and so on..

The Paris siege episode of the Vikings (3x08 - To the Gates) was one of the best battles I have ever watched not just on TV but among things I've seen on cinema as well. Everything, the acting, the tactics, the feeling of authenticity, the effects, the editing was just top notch. Yes sir, this show delivers. (Oh, and one more time, I wanna marry Lagertha and yes, babe, you can kill me, too, if it takes that.)

In the comic book version of the story, you dont even get to know him. Waking up in the hospital, Rick finds the group and his family, Shane takes him to the woods and pulls a gun since he got the hots for the wife, his son kills him. He doesnt even get to go to the farm. Btw, it was hilarious to come upon season 2 the other day on TV and notice how Shane pulled a speech in the farm about how things were not the same out there anymore and they should act upon it and adapt, the same speech Rick gave to the suburb people at the end of season 5.

Finished watching finale of viking season 3. The show is generally a mixed bag, I loved first half of season 1, than it went down, season 2 and 3 is also a mixed bag, with ups and downs. Now I know this is not a historical authentic show, but there are some very dumb snow in it that lowers my enjoyment of it, even for a fictional spin on historical events that happened.
Also watched season 1 of star wars rebels animated series. Most of it is below average, except maybe the last few episodes that are ok. Hope it picks up in later season and becomes more darker like what happened with clone wars in last few seasons.
