Just played Sorts and managed to win 2-0 with a little lot of luck.
Going against Nergal, I decided to keep the same lineup but switch to spells. This gave me an edge in the first game but in the second one I was overrun with the undead and apart from one early shredder I just couldn't draw any strong units and when I did they wouldn't last long. So we reach the decisive turn with me out of cards and I think to myself, if I draw a lightning strike I can win. Sorts proceeds to flood the battlefield with 4-5 more units and places a ghoul in the only row I could probably break through. Crap. And indeed I draw lightning but it is not enough. I draw again.. another lightning! Damn that was close.

You shouldn't feel bad about it, they are nerfing Nergal and Weeks of the Wild spirits for a reason next month.

Oh yeah, i actually felt bad for curbstomping you RMZ.
The fun fact is that i was seriously reconsidering Nergal. Yeah i have played him most (second being Seria), but felt that should try something else. Then the computer issues striked and didn't have a chance to experiment with other ideas.
Nergal is getting a nerf? Nice.
But have been nice games, ty for Elvin, DaveJame and RMZ and waiting for for next games.

It is ok, I don't think that it would matter even with other heroes, since I don't have time to play this game a lot, I don't have that good cards.(Even though, this is no-rare-no-epic tournament, I miss some common or uncommon cards ).
Nergal is getting 1 resource cost on his poison counter ability, and Week of the Wild Spirits are getting 1 resource cost to cast the +1 attack for magic creatures. It is definitely needed, Magic Creatures Nergal is the most played deck for a longer time now as far as I know.

The disciple has pwned the master. First game I tried destructive with day of sanctuary knowing it would be a double-edged weapon but it eventually did not pay off. Second game I added more creatures and went fortunes but we eventually reached a point where my advance slowed down and poly had a stronger presence in the field. Well played

Barely managed to beat Sorts tonight. Final score 2-1. To be honest, this match could have went other way and I wouldn't be able to complain.
Highlight of the match was a juggernaught of a game 2, which ended in turn 23. It drained nearly all my playtime :S.

Lost to Yazmiel 1-2.
Did some stupid mistakes during the game... maybe it was a bad idea to play after a 14,5 hour workday. Although i dont know how much better i would have fared otherwise, not the best at playing against Kelthor.
Dammit... i go against Kelthor for determining the 3rd place, don't i
Edit: Anyway was a great game, allthough yeah... 23 turns was a bit long Decided to concentrate on neutralizing Yasmiels attacks in the start and to seek an opening if possible. That became a bit slow.
