Hearthpwn compendium

This is a nice post from Hearthpwn about the up coming expansion. It is all about fan/player statistics. It's a good read

I am very, very scared of Shamans with the recent additions. That combined with the fact that Warlock is receiving a pretty subpar set have sapped me of most of my hype. I think that I may be done with the game.

Warlock was hit hard. Aside from Cho'gall I don't think there's even one good card for this class. He will probably need to do with some of the new neutrals.

But I like where some other classes are going. My favs will probably be Shaman and Hunter this time, but I would also like to respark my interest in Druid too. In the last couple of months I really 'ditched' the class because all other decks aside from Combo (which I found boring and didn't play it) were getting pretty much wrecked (well, I'm having so so results with Silence Druid). And when I started playing Heartshtone, Druid was my favourite class...

The votings for the 'dominating cards' are interesting and I mostly agree with them. The two cards that I'm not so sure of are Evolve and Doomcaller.

Evolve is a strong card, but after my initial enthusiasm I think the card might actually be more restricting then anything else. It depends on the decks in which it will be used. For instance it can change your Totems into stronger minions, but at the same time it breaks various combos based around them. On the other hand the card has a low cost which can make it a "final push" type of card which in turn can work really well. Generally the card is very good and has many uses (can be timed really well, even on a single minion), I'm not just certain if it will fit into my type of decks.

Doomcaller might be viable if C'Thun will keep his buffed stats after the "ressurection". If not, it might probably be too slow...

Don't quit yet. I believe this expansion could be the best one yet. Yes, Warlock did not receive anything awesome, but we might have overlooked a combo or two?

I will also be trying out druid, by far one of the most interesting classes with a lot of different playstyles.

Evovle is a good card, but sadly I remember that naga boss in LoE. The randomness can really ruin everything. And therefor I agree with you, it can be a good finisher, but it could also ruin your totem set-up.

The new patch has been datamined. GOlden cards revealed, upcoming brawls, flavour text. If you are curious.

I have 6400 Dust

Going to craft 3 Legendaries (2 from the new set and 1 Classic probably Ragnaros) and 4 Epics tomorrow!

The nerfs have arrived already, wow the decks look a bit different now. No more combo Druid around!

That is a lot of dust! I only have 1600 dust (and a Golden Hemit Nessingway from GvG ready to be DE).

But the hype is real. And the nerfs have changed a lot, but not for my decks yet.

Those nerfs were a gold mine for me! Golden FoN (thank the Old Gods I've hold on to it, but that was mainly because of it's usefulness and I only had one copy ). Also three BGH, I've left one in my collection Also disenchanted one copy of each nerfed Rares. If I decide to disenchant one of my Crowd Favorites (I'll hold on to it who knows if he won't be useful in WotoG), and add 150 dust from the season end reward that will give me... 6000 dust! So I'm close to you Minion

Like I said 3 Legendaries and two Epics (Shadowcaster and Sentinel if I don't get them in packs). I still can't decide on which L's to craft

I know right! I disenchanted both Ancient of Lores and Keeper of Groves as they are unplayable. Left a single copy of others mostly.

Do you think I should craft the original Ragnaros? Now that BGH is nerfed he is no longer so vulnerable, also standard has no Muster for Battle or Haunted Creeper which were so strong vs Rag too. The other Classic I am thinking is Cairne because he is predicted to be played a lot now in slower meta. As for the WotoG Legendaries I have also no clue atm

KotG maybe, but I don't think AoL is unplayable. I'll be keeping my only copy.

You should craft him. I know you wanted him since way back, and his always valuable. Even more so in a control heavy meta that might come with WotoG. I would also like to have Cairne cause I like this character (I also remember him being good at the begining, I was jealous of players who had him), but I think Rag is more useful.

PS: The new board is weak. I have a feeling they didn't put that much effort into it...

PS 2: I'm already starting to hate the new 'WoW' emote

It's a good time to start now, cause there will be a lot of experimantal WotoG decks meaning they won't be OP. Hope you'll like it. And don't be discouraged as it seems the game is hard for new players without collections nowadays, but recently, altough being quite an expierienced player, I've been beaten by a really basic Hunter deck (anyone remember Unleash + Hyena combo?), so there's that

And ask us for any help!

BTW it's funny how players on Hearthpwn snow about cards being useless after nerfs. This netdecking herd mentality is so funny...

Aww, can't stand this snow, overly flashy, simplistic, focuses too much on clutter meant as eyecandy. Sorry guys!

I have played several card games and to be frank I never thought in the beginning that Hearthstone would last. My first impressions were that this is fun but pretty simplistic so there is no way I'll play this after some months. LOL. Here I am 2 years later still

Speaking of which I am so anxious to open 30 packs tomorrow haha! Watch me cry here after I only get a Boogeymonster and I swear I am quitting this game

I agree with Minion at first I thought it would last maybe what half a year? But the game keeps evolving for the better and the gameplay is so addictive. It is a great game. It could last for ever.

Yeah, same here, it's 2 years already. It's the only game I didn't get bored of after so long, it's pretty much amazing. With all the salt I've poured on it, this game keeps me interested enough to keep going back, almost each day even if it's for a short game. It probably keeps me hooked becuase of the pack openings and cause I've put so much energy into my collection that I'm not able to part with it...

PS: F*ck Earth with it's round shape, why we have to wait so long after Hamericans get their hands on WotoG!

You made me think about why I keep coming back, Blob. I believe I keep coming back because I can choose how much I invest in the game. I can play 1 game (5-10 minuts) and then quit for the day. I can also play for an hour instead.
Then there is the need to collect the best cards and "complete" my collection.

There are so many different ways one can invest in Hearthstone and still enjoy the game. Yes the meta can often become tidius, but if you can always adapt to it by choosing to play arena or adventure.. or just brawl..

So many different ways to enjoy yourself and the game.

I got Anomalus and Ragnaros Lightlord I really wanted him yay!

Epics were Call of The Wild (insane card!), Sandworm, Forbidden Ancient, Hammer of Twilight (yay), Validated Doomsayer and Scaled Nightmare.

I already crafted the Twin Emperor so I can try C'Thun. Pondering my second Legendary now...
