I recently made a somewhat random Rouge deck to complete 'play Rouge cards' and 'play 10 weapons' dailies in one go. I didn't use any neutral cards only Rouge ones.

I've played around 10 games with it, and lost 2 maybe.  I did play against some archetypes like Miracle Rouge or Control Warrior. And I even used cards like Poisoned Blade and Blade Flurry. With good effect! Yikes!

Hmm, recent teasers point even more toward some Pirate-ish expansion, but with so many themes thrown here and there already I think this will be something in the lines of Ninja's (Thieves?) vs Pirates, which Blizzard talked about at some point. Additionaly a lot of artifacts and some othere themes here and there like Pandaria etc (artifacts from Pandaria maybe?). Interesting...

I also believe it to be Pirates themed. Whether or not their will be Ninjas, I really dont think.
But the hints have been as you say a bit all over the place; Dinosaurs, pirates, pandas, Gadgetzan, mechs, travelling..

I am actually just really excited about this Blizzcon, because I have no idea what they will reveal or show us. It is super exciting

New expansion

The flavor for this one was pretty much hinted from the get go: gangsters and lowlifes. Though multi-class (is this the right name? Neutrals are multi-class already ) cards and the flavor behind them (Families) is interesting.

I think this new 'Family' mechanic is pretty nice and it might shake up the game a little (though for now they said there are 9 cards in total with this ability, 3 per Family and 3 of which are the Legendaries, cause each Family head has an ability based on this mechanic and is a multi-class like Kazakus). Is this the fresh thing players were waiting for time will only tell...

The new Legendary Kazakus is unique, but I think his ability makes him rather hard/greedy to use outside of Reno decks...

EDIT: The Pirate Legendary is better then I initially though, there is a nice presentation of how he can be utilized here.

The new expansion looks fun and exciting (as always). It is a great idea to make clans and I hope that it will shake up the meta / deck building. The cards we have seen so far are actually quite cool, a few "dublicates" as always. The most disappoiting ones are the legendaries (not Kazakus), but the whole "low mana cost" legendaries is not an idea I like. It seems forced.
Take the new Paladin legendary. A taunt with divine is great. The effect is good, but it will die so quickly and therefore will not have a big impact on the board.
That said I read a great comment on it that the artwork does not fit the flavour text.

Probably not, but I like this kind of cards. Maybe he's more of an Epic material, but he has DS, so there's a slightly bigger chance he survives. Follow this with Blessing of Kings next turn, and he becomes an early aggro counter. Shieldbot stickiness was a bane for many players and remember Paladin has some other cards to help your minions survive like Secrets (Redemption for instance). He might be really irritating in Secret Paladin which is still popular in Wild. It's one of those Legendaries I wouldn't mind getting from a pack.

That said I'm a little disappointed with the three freshest revealed cards, especially that Rouge Legendary. Not particulary saying it won't see play, but he just doesn't make my blood boil (plus I think Legendaries, even with their abilities, should still have an over the top stat-line so a 3/4 would look better with him). With good support cards he might turn good though. The other Legendary looks like a dropout from TGT (Inspire mechanic booster), and that Windfury guy is an Arena filler.

I am so into the combo of him + BoK - sadly I know that people will just hold on to their counters (Poly. Hex).

True! The legendaries are very unimpressive..

But I think blizz are on to the good way to use RnG. I am thinking on the new cross-class. I am still hyped.

Isn't this a good thing? You know, this increases your Rags/Tyrion survival rate

People are getting the impression that Blizzard is trying to reduce RNG with this expansion, thus we see a lot of the Discover mechanic so far. I wonder if that is the case?

On a side note, I wonder what will the Priest Legendary be. I have a hunch that because they're pushing Dragon Priest so much in this exp (actually Blizz officialy said they want to push three Priest archetypes, on of them being DP), it's going to be a Dragon Legendary. Maybe that cool purple Kabal Dragon from the intro?

Clever! Of course it will keep my Tyrion alive Haha! I am not the brighest

I think they are pushing "healthy" RnG like the discover mechanic.

The dragon looks epic and I really want it!

So with todays blog entry and three newly revealed cards Blizz appears to be exploring the 'play and boost your hand' mechanic. I think it's fine, but in some cases this might turn OP, especially with that Paladin card...

EDIT: Reading about Grimy Goons boss (Han'Cho) he's mostly about 'arms'. I doubt his ability will be something like Kazakus's (create a high end weapon by 'discovering' effects maybe?), but it still might be something centered around weapons (all three Goons classes are weapon classes).

The new paladin cards are just my kind of cards. I think they will fit my playstyle just fine. Midrange/controlish.

Don Han'Cho. My guess is since he is an ogre that we will see a 50% chance mechanic based on one of the heads being a "smart" one and the other one being a "physical" one.

So I am thinking 50% chance of +'ing something or 50% of dmg'ing something.

My free pack was full of dust..

The latest cards have not been too impressing

EDIT:
Dispatch Kodo, Backroom bouncer and dirty rat. Three new cards.
DKodo is pretty solid. A mini c'thun that works really well with the new buffing stuff in your hand "meta". I think that it can be really good, but we will have to see how many "buff in hand" cards you want to have in your deck.

Backroom buncer is flesheating ghoul 2.0 - a good card, but not used a lot - so I guess this one wont either

Dirty Rat is being comapred with Deathlord and rightfully so. Battlecry vs deathrattle, a difference in mana cost and stats. I just think the battlecry is the issue here. The enemy minion will come into play right away, which gives the enemy the initiative..

@emilsn91
Dirty Rat is compared to Deathlord, or even called the 2-drop Priest was waiting for. I think he's best used against strictly zoo decks but he has a battlecry so it kinda gives your opponent the upper hand, the fished out minion will be ready to play on his turn. If you play DR later, you can use a Power Word for instance, but this kinda misses the point, cause you probably want to play him as fast as possible against zoo, not on turn 5. On the other hand he summons from the 'hand' (Deathlord summoned from the deck so 'Rag' was more likely) and most people won't have fat cards on first few turns. He might turn out good...

I like the Dispatch Kodo. Vanilla he's a pre-nerf Keeper of the Groove, with a single boost, he's an additional Quick Shot. If 'Hand' decks become a thing he might be really strong (just think about him being a 4/6 or more for 4 mana).

@Raenus
Probably wait for the expansion release then? Or boost your Classic collection...

PS: Tommorow we'll probably getting a Han'Cho reveal. I'm really interested in this one, at this point I think with his ability he will interact with the 'Hand' mechanic in some way.

PS 2: Holy s*it! That's strong!

Maybe it doesn't quite fit any Paladin deck for now, but play this before Tiron (ofc assuming you have other minions, Taunts presumably) and your opponent will cry... this might actually enchance my Dragon Pala deck quite a bit! Also, I like the art (shouldn't this be an Epic actually?).

It is awesome! Should be epic. It really fits the pala curve beautifully. Best revealed card so far. (IMO)

The Dobblegangster is pretty insane. So much potential.

Edit: how annoying is that play 75 murlocs.. (KILL ME!!!) ...

I sometimes have a hard time to find dev team reasoning for why a card is Epic/Rare. I suppose Protector being a Rare means they want him to be more likely to appear in Arena? Then why is a card like Marshal an Epic? It's a Rare for me... I think an Epic is something that should be either a power card or something of a 'pillar' of your deck. Marshal, Fel Orc or Burglebot for instance are cards that are the 'might throw them in but there are better choices' types.

The freshly revealed Thorium Knuckles weapon seems a little underwhelming to me. I undestand it had to be toned down in terms of raw power cause it has potential to perk you minions, but I think it's 'numbers' are off. 4 mana makes it a control-only card I suppose, it might be too slow for faster decks. Sure, it can be boosted, but two attack is not really useful at this point in game. Plus it's a huge tempo loss on turn 4. 3/2 or even 3/3 would be more useful methinks.

I think Kripp got it right with saying the 'Hand' mechanic is something that might evolve either way. If the tempo loss/later gain will balance out a new archetype will be born.

Guys did I mention how I like the new quests? They made doing dailies so much more enjoyable. A big for the devs.

I have no idea how they figure it out, but you are right it doesn't always seem logic

The new knuckles .. I dont know man.. It has a really good potential, but I cannot figure out if it's playable - 4 mana seems like a high mana cost for 2 dmg, but it makes it anti-zoo with buffs. But in the end I am not sure.. Warrior just have better weapons

I hate the new quests! Quests like the murloc one I just did.. A PAIN! AGONY! Some are good; the play a lot of Class cards.

Yeah, this one is a bit tiresome I think... but all other 'play sth x times' are great cause whatever you do win or lose, you steadily complete them...
