Wandering monsters in WoG means that the monsters, who spawn all over the map on those special weeks, will move 1 square each day.

There are no wandering mosters in HotA or SoD.

Still there are missing plenty campaign only objectives and loss conditions. I know there are handle by heroes3.exe.

As I said... I DON'T mean wandering monsters, I mean the missing spawn of weekly and monthly monster in HotA... Just wanna know why it's not included, 'coz it was quite a nice feature if your way was blocked and the logistic changes often on maps with little space to move. Also: when diplomacy is a problem -> savage monsters or a random roll per monster with very little chance to get friendly/agressive monsters.

You can put it on and off in the editor really (week of monster or double week or something)

I would also like an option for monster weeks, but no plagues. Plagues are so annoying.
With no monster weeks, Diplomacy also loses some of it's use...

Two questions about future updates (not necessarily the next one, but just for some unspecified point in the future):
1) Are we going to get more water locations?
2) Are we going to get to play the RoE-SoD campaigns without unpacking them?

1) Yes
2) Unknown. There were such plans for some time ago, but it is very complicated and not too high in priority for now

i have another question for the team: are you guys willing to share a graphic of your castle with me(without the trees, just the castle and the defensive walls), that I could use to make my own versions? the way it is now, i would have to cover up a lot of the graphic to get rid of the original HoMM3 trees(which i'm doing myself with all the graphics that have older trees in them).

no biggie if you guys aren't down with that; i was only wondering. anything i make will come out in my patch of course, and you guys would have full rights to use whatever(same as everyone else. just mention my name somewhere if you do; you guys're going to be in my credits regardless, among others, when i release my updated patch).

no biggie either way, though.

WOG sucks. Too buggy. While I agree on it having some cool features aimed towards balance (secondary skills, spell tweaks), most of them give even more opening to the lack of balance itself. HOMM3 gameplay core is bad designed when it comes to might/magic balance. Do not expect HOTA to change it. They claim to be an expansion-like project. It's not a mod aimed to please, balance, with custom options and features.

This could easiely change, you just need to limit magic schools or wisdom to magic heroes. As counterpart logistic/offense/luck and other stuff to might heroes.

There are no usable heroes without Logistics, you know?

The issue with magic heroes are not the spells, but constant lack of mana. They simply never get a chance to cast a spell, not matter how powerful they are (not very, in fact).

Magic-oriented heroes worked fine in H5, but in this verison heroes received mana equal to their Knowledge every turn.

You guys need to play my map, I guarantee that magic heroes can get just as strong as might heroes, if not stronger.
It all depends on the map and it depends on which spells, artifacts, heroes etc. are available. Magicheroes are mostly weak in the beginning of the game with low attack and defense and few spells, but that can change, they also get a lot more power and knowledge for Resurrection/Animate Dead/Sacrifice, damaging spells, summoning elementals, their spells last longer and for traveling the map.
It's not fun, running out of mana in battle, if the enemy still have 200+ mana...
I don't know about random maps, as I never play them, might heroes could be stronger there.

But this is what we talk about all the time... you can always make a map where whole your army is one peasant, but that doesn't prove anything.
