OK, now I definitely like the HoTA one better.
This final one actually has none of the motives from the old sampled one though, right

@pizdabol Indeed we do hear Docent's theme pretty clearly in the second half. Which Hota one are you referring to?

Yeah, it's there, couldn't make it out the first time around. Though it's quite different and lacks the Morricone vibe of this one

It's not been spoiled yet. I'm hoping that it's just an extended version of the original Factory reveal theme, because I really like that song.

Do i need to also manually (separately) install the HD Mod if i am going to install the latest HOTA onto Homm3 Complete?

They go in the same directory. HD mod is not required to run HoTA, you just want it to play the game in a native resolution or upscaled if it looks too small to you.

The HD mod had a small patch today, and I noticed that one of the bug fixes was for a crash when trying to open maps made in HotA version 1.6.1... in version 1.7.
That's yet another little step preparing for Factory. It's really close now. I'm so excited.

It was back in January I think, which is six months ago but not a year. Besides, combine that with the last update saying that all of Factory is complete and we're just waiting on the campaign, and I think it's a good sign.

Hello all,
recent months were very good for HotA enjoyers in Poland (a lot of tournaments, streams, commentary etc.).
Next week we will host finals in big expo hall with 10,000 seats, free entry and possible great many attendants (heroes 3 tournament final is one of main attractions).
Since this is realy hard to get new players to h3 (entry level is crazy high) we put a lot of effort to attract players more to heroes. We tried bit of promotion in medias, from popular journalists or streamers but this is realy hard to get to people outside of h3 community.
Coming to the point: do you think this is realistic at all we could show some materials from upcoming patch during the event?
Or maybe you could at least let me know who could I contact about this issue?
if any of you by any chance visits Poland on 1-2 of July please feel invited to polish cup finals in Wroclaw!!

Given that the HotA team is russian, I don't think now is the best time for that.

You don't have to be such a Downer Debbie, the guy wants to have fun, you don't have to shoot down what he's suggesting, especially if you aren't contributing anything to it.
What's wrong if the developers of HoTA are Russian? Russia has some of the largest HoMM3 following, kind of like Turkish players love Metin2 and Knight Online and Russian players love Lineage 2.

i realise the situation, this is why there is no world cup but only polish cup. It also makes tournament organising and sponsors search terrible actually, considering most players are in PL-Ukr-Ru.
ceremony with thousands people visiting site is being organised anyway and it's the best possibility for us to promote homm3 among potential new players so why not use possibility? would be super cool to show some info from upcoming patch.

Hey guys.
I understand the community has a rule for almost every game that dimension door works only 1-2 times depending on expertise instead of more frequently (1-4 I think).
This is very hard to keep track of, its easy for people to cheat.
Why not just change the spell to this? It wouldnt break anything on singleplayer either, would make it less abusive vs AI too.
Also, does anyone know any template that removes the spells View Earth/Air?
I feel they kinda ruin the exploration part of the game and further make the dimension door stronger if you´re trying to run away or buy timie.
If theres no such template, can you guys help me edit templates a bit? How do I start editing them? Like remove a spell, etc. Is it just a text editor or do i use the scenario editor somehow?

Banning multiple DD usage is part of the tournament rules. Just enabling them before the game starts (hotseat or lobby), and players can only cast DD once, 2 times with expert air on big maps (XL+U or larger). In other words, there's no need for the players to count their dimensional jumps, as it's done by the game.

Editing templates is very easy, as Hota comes with a template editor. (check files) Just by opening it, and choosing template of your choice, you will quickly figure out how to disable spells, artifacts or such.

Just to make it more about exploration and less about optimizaton?
