The new update is gorgeous. Not only feels Factory even better designed than Cove, also the smaller changes like the improved neutral morale icon, soft buff to First Aid or fixed Mana Vortex make the game better and really polished.
It's also great to hear that easier campaign difficulties are planned. I am a casual player and scenarios where I have to exactly do steps 1, 2, 3 are not satisfying for me (which is why I never played the Cove campaigns except the short first one).

@Tevye: Does the HotA team still read the suggestions and bug report threads here? And is the description by Nik from 2017 still fitting, what kind of suggestions could be useful for you?
I am also happy about the new music incl. the extra tracks (HotA Camp). Whenever HotA releases new tracks, I add them to the official soundtrack. For Cove, Highlands and Wasteland, I credited Docent Picolan. Who may be credited for the new themes? Paul Anthony Romero (alone?) for Factory Campaign and Docent Picolan & Maigret for Factory Theme and HotA Camp themes?
Edit: I noticed that HotA Camp themes 1, 2, 3 and 6 are identical to the promo videos, so for those I suppose Docent alone is to credit.

Hi all,

Does anyone have issues entering the game when play with HD mod?

If I open the game without, everything goes well, but when I try to open the game under HD mod I hear the loading screen but is black.

We still do browse through suggestions, but you probably realize that there's been a metric ton or two of them over the years, so it's a pretty big challenge to come up with what we haven't seen yet. Still, no reason not to share your thoughts, and thanks for doing it!
Regarding HotACampThemes, the composing credits for them are as follows:
01-03, 06 - Docent Picolan
04 - Heetch
05 - Tevye
07-09 - Maigret

Ok what I gave bonuses to AI:

1 day - Comp Bonus I - 45w 40o 37000gold
1 day - Comp Bonus II - 25w 28m 25o 28s 28c 28g 6000gold
1 day - Comp Bonus III - 75w 17m 95o 12s 72c 7g 76400gold
1 day - Comp Bonus IV - 10o 12500gold
1 day - every day - Comp Bonus V - 2m 6c 35770gold and lvl1 30, lvl2 16, lvl3 15 lvl4 10 lvl5 6 lvl6 4 and lvl7 2 creatures..

Why a 2m? Random gives you Necropolis or Factory.. Maybe lvl7 is only one creature.. If AI can't buy/build, but AI can buy in random map, so disgraceful.. I can't give more bonuses, because I wanted AI to think the game, if existence..

Many bonuses in a map.. No only Comp Bonus I-V.. In there Rampart too, when I think 10% income plus random resources.. No creatures!! It Rampart gives bonuses to AI can to buy Azures, Crystals, Rusts and Faeries..

But ok only one creature..

Okay seems like some pretty solid bonuses, I hope it's not the same issue as AI not being "able to see" Portal of Summoning.

Yes I have checked and it seems that the game cannot run in native resolution of my screen (3440x1440).

It works in lower resolutions.

Now AI has a few of Dreadnoughts and Juggernauts.. Maybe Couatls and Crimson Couatls are favoured creatures.. Because two "main" heroes have Couatls and Crimson Couatls.. And "scouts" have Dreadnoughts and Juggernauts.. But good step or beginning.. I followed AIs by Cartographer, because cheat code isn't existence.. Ok map isn't ready!

I'd like to report that Simultaneous Turns (ST) isn't working properly with this latest update. Previously I was able to enter four numbers (e.g. 9999) into the ST field prior to starting the map. Now with the new 1.7.0 update, the ST field is only allowing me to enter up to three numbers (e.g. 999). The 999 number doesn't make sense as this is basically saying that ST will stop at Month 9, week 9, day 9. Realistically there should be two digits placeholder for months (unlimited), 1 digit placeholder for weeks up to 4, and two digits placeholder for days up to 31.

Also when I open the dialog box again later to continue playing the map, the ST field would automatically change to 1122.





Would be great if there's a checkbox available to enable unlimited ST rather than setting a limit.

And if possible have an option to re-enable ST again during gameplay in case of ST interrrupted instead of requiring all players to exit the map and rejoin again to play from last saved point to order to re-enable ST.

Also I have encountered another bug as well. When I host a map and the other player joined, normally the Save button should be available to the host and not to the other players. Most times the save button works as expected for the host however for really large maps, the Save feature is not available to the host but is available to the other player. So as a host, I had to ask the other player to save our progress. And the next time we meet again to play to reload the map, the other player had to host the map and reload the save, and now that save button is visible to me as a player instead of a host. In other words, the host is unable to save the progress and instead rely on player to save. This is confusing so I'd suggest fixing this too if possible. Thanks.

Sadly, I can't really share the news as widely as I'd like to, because when I try to [url=https://h3hota.com/storage/HotA_1.7.0_setup.exe.torrent]download HotA using the recommended way[/url] (torrent), Transmission Remote GUI v5.18.0 throws an "invalid or corrupt torrent file" error - anyone else with the same issue ?

P.S.: Also maybe consider placing the torrent link first, rather than last in a list of 8 ?

I personally used the torrent file just two days ago as I needed to install HotA on a new laptop, and it was fine for me. Can't rightly say anything about the reason why you would have this issue, sorry. I, however, use qBittorrent and am not familiar in any way with Transmission.

Regarding your P.S., well, there are quite a few people around who don't know what torrents are. They would be very confused when, trying to download the mod and clicking the first link, they'd only get a file with a size of a few kb that they had no idea how to use or open.

First of all well done for 1.7.0 version! Nice one!
I have an issue and maybe you can help me. I'm trying to edit a map with h3hota_maped.exe. The map is a Random generated map from H3Hota DH.exe. When I right click on a prison the map editor freezes, then crashes. I want to replace a hero from a prison. Thank you!

For me it didn't work with Fragments (Linux client for the GNOME desktop) for reasons I didn't further track down, no problems with Transmission on Linux.

Problems with the translation of the main menu. Help, devs, Tevye!!

Hi!!
I'm translating HotA 1.7.0 into Spanish and I'm having a problem with the main menu icons. The program I used to edit the buttons (DefPreview) doesn't seem to work correctly. I assume the problem is due to the new animated main menu. Can you help me with this? I have already translated the entire version 1.7.0, and only the main menu remains to be translated.

It didn't work. I can delete the prison I can add another prison, but I can't acces properties of the object to add a specific hero. The editor freezes and doesn't respond to any other command. The same thing happens when I try to use find function after I right click a prison.

The only time I've seen the map editor crash like that is when you edit the map to have uncommon stuff in the prison, like having an army of 50 Ballistas. Must be an issue with the newest patch breaking something. If you send me the map I can edit it with my own editor to manipulate it and modify the prison however you want.
