In my opinion, adding flavour to the game is already reason enough for their existence. For me, there is no need to be able to easily create powerstacks of neutral units. They are normally just there and that’s good, especially since they provide map makers with even more storytelling opportunities.

The purpose is being a guard in the Experimental Shop and paying homage to Heroes II. Not every creature needs to be competitive. Sometimes they can just exist because they're cool. I know I use Leprechauns all the time in my custom maps, since they work so well on Clover Fields and as Magic Garden guards.

Could have added automatons, mechanics and gargoyles to the experimental shop instead. Would have made a far challenging or at least interesting combat.

Don't get me wrong - Coatl vs Aspid is Awesome to the MAX.
But perhaps it's time for a change...

They STILL didn't rework magic and grails' balance after all these years (and given their experience and knowledge - it shouldn't take more than ~3 months), however, people just ask for more towns???

Heroes Chronicles has the closest thing to a Conflux campaign. Masters of the Elements starts as Tower, but 90% of it is playing Conflux.

I'd love to see what the HotA crew does with Conflux, though.

New artifacts would be great.
I'm sure Sword of Frost will be there, though it will probably be OP like Armageddon's Blade, so cannot be used for normal gameplay sadly.

A new artifact that allows you to cast positive spells on creatures normally immune to them, would also be great. (Fire spells, Resurrection etc.)

Some way to remove unwanted skills from heroes, would also be greatly appreciated.

I would like to see an artifact with Jotun effect.
I mean minus 1 / 2 speed for flyers.
Oh, and the artifacts that extend the spell duration should all get a plus 1 effect buff.

You learn something new everyday , how come necropolis heroes cannot learn the skill first aid but they can buy tent at blacksmith . Makes no sense at all , is it something that will be fixed by hota devs down the line ? Also can someone tell me if its normal when I do random map and lets say I start with factory my town will be on the snow terrain or whatever weird combination , is it normal ?

Depends on the RMG template, but probably is normal, just the template you play probably has the starting zones not being native terrain.
