It doesn't matter now how it was taken now. The mass media now talks about 'the further annexion of Ukrainian territories' which means that they have already accepted the Crimean annexion. Just as planned by Russia. If Ukraine had a normal government created by the means of law, not the brute force, Russia would have no chance to make such a trick.

Said the guy with "normal government". You are ruled by a dictator and you're spreading his propaganda. That is the fact.

Separatism is never any good because once 1 region will be allowed to separate from the country, there will be 100 regions which will be desiring to do the same. It will become a formal chaos.

Imagine what will happen with the half of the US, especially Texas.
Imagine what will happen to some Spanish and Italian provinces.
Imagine what will happen to Tibet and some other Chinese provinces.

That's why everyone tries to hold it down.

The only fact is that you are insulting me just because I am Russian.

You start to forget what is dictatorship. Wish you were born in North Korea, sweety.

And please find me my words where I say that I like Putin. I give you 24 hours. After that we will annex your bedroom. And probably the kitchen, if there is something useful.

We; in PL like Russians very much; don't you know? They are like brothers to us.

But nobody in civilized world will support the annexation of other country.

Said the man from Poland which would gratefully consume the south of Lithuania.

Of course any war is snow.

The word "annexation" is created by pro-western mass media. For some reason, the same mass media uses the word "protests" instead of "rebellion", which totally changes the face of the current Ukrainian government. It's the power of the word. It works in every case, both Russian and Western mass media. The truth is somewhere between.

We are not so greedy as you

What do you say about breaking Budapest Treaty which guaranteed the integrity of Ukrainians borders instead of resignation from nukes?

Being a formidable, sovereign dictatorship gave people a certain sense of security. You had rules - they didn't always make too much sense, but they were simple enough, and you were rewarded for following them and punished (severely) if you didn't. My folks all come from the latter stock, but even they have grown disillusioned by the current state of affairs to the point of prefering the way things were in the '80s.

After the fall of communism, of course, there was no mention of returning property that the reds confiscated. It all pretty much ended in folks feeling like they've been cheated out of their free apartments in developing cities, secured workplaces with benefits, passports that can go wherever they like without visas, paid vacations and safe streets, in exchange for a collection of bickering rump states (which are being made to try pretty hard in order to be allowed to be someone's satellites) ruled by cleptocrats where any purported freedom of speech, expression, enterprise and the like is simply a clumsy mask for propaganda, manipulation and corruption.

Privatization and transition towards Europe have been dealt with disastrously here. You need to understand that. It's not that the people inherently prefer authoritarianism.

^This.

And now because there is no way people want to elect old communists again and the new socialists are either unorganized or complete frauds  people start electing nationalists and then we have WW3 in Europe, yay. But I don't blame them since at least they don't have insane economic politics.

Stop kidding yourself, open your eyes. I'd risk saying that the majority of Poles hates Russians or is at least not very friendly towards them. It doesn't take much research - it's enough to scan through polish news portals and the comments under the articles. The amount of Jew and Russian hate is troublesome to read.

For those members who want to see for themselves, try google translating some of the comments on the articles concerning anything Russian/Jewish on the following pages:

@Zenofex
Ok, we agree that separatism is not a good thing. But you think that we have such situation because of some bad decisions made by interim government. What decisions? It is only for 1.5 months in power and its main objective is to prepare country to the elections.

My strong understanding is all this snow is heated by Russia. Doesn't matter what the interim government did at all! The key factor that Yanukovych is ousted and this pushes Russia to seek for a revenge, so all russian and pro-russian organizations here heat the situation up.

So you can either support ousting of Yanukovych or not. It is a proven fact that he is a criminal and everybody agrees with that here. That's why I support. Afterwards what bad decisions did the interim government make, that could bring the protests on east? In my opinion, nothing that bad up by now.

Perhaps you need to open out the dictionary and look up annexation.
I'm sure you'll be surprised to find it there.

The article is about Romani people, but other nations are mentioned as well.

Feelings are unimportant, mate. What matters is facts.

If 39% dislikes them (and a whole lot is neutral, I assume), you cannot be serious about the whole "Poles love Russians". There is a strong dislike mixed with neutrality. There isn't much sympathy.

33% is against
33% have no opinnion.

If you hate RU its your way, I love them. The other thing is politic.

polaks love Ivans? oh that's just epic. so no harm done with the whole Katyn massacre? this is the reason polaks bash ruskies all the time. also that plane crash in Smolensk a few years back. Ukraine's reason of hating Russians is Holodomor.

polaks love ivans this is esspecially rich coming from a absent minded polak nazi who thinks the Baltics are poorland's former colonies. and the guy who shouted out we ban the Russian members of HC because the so called "aggression" in Crimea. pure gold

It seems Russia took the torch from middle east as being the axis of all evil right now.
