Wow, just wow! If they wanted, they could've browse through this very thread, and find plenty of good suggestions. There are plenty of members who gave very constructive suggestions and examples even before your 'precious' H7 existed (and I don't consider myself to be one of them). I'm really tired of blind faith in Ubi and their products. And why is it blind? Because we have heroes 7, how many months since the release, and there are people who just cannot play multiplayer because of the bugs. And the worst thing is that the same scenario happened with H6 (let us remember 'few' people with nVidia graphics who could not even start the game, or people who had laptops that were not supported)! And still, there are some who trust Ubi. That is really fascinating.

browsing a thread where 1000 of the 1300 pages are spider memes/lich complaining/thinly veiled insults is not very fun.

It's just a reaction to the product. If we all enjoyed the product (which should radiate some quality), there wouldn't be such a reaction.

Since that's not the case, that was the people's reaction. And it was fun, at times.

To do perhaps. If your job was to look good feedback in it, not so much (and even less with this forum cutting edge, avant-garde software )

It s a "circle of fun" indeed... Teeheeheehee

Seriously though anyone here who has expressed the slightest positive opinion on any aspect of the game is immediately shut down by he HC police. Lets not kid ourselves.
I did have my fun with the game, and I m waiting the patches now. Either they are going to fix the game so I'll enjoy it more, or more bizzare bugs will appear, which is funny to be honest win-win

This thread was much smaller before the game came out, and there were less reactions to the product as it wasn't released yet. Also, that was the time to look for suggestions. Now it is too late: game was released with broken core.

Not to mention that there were other threads that had plenty of suggestions.

Guys, Antalyan got it right. HC was born from the success of Heroes II and III (later IV and V too), a community was formed around these games - tournaments, mapmaking, in-depth strategy discussions, silly 'what is best' polls, etc were made; people endlessly talked about them and did everything people interested in a game would do in a internet forum, early 2000s.

Ever since H6 Ubi has been pushing the franchise in a very different direction, one which in many ways clashes with what this community represents since its inception. Negative reception of the latest games from the majority of the users here had to be expected.

Now the questions we could ask is why did Ubisoft went all the way down to set up a VIP forum and request feedback from them, only to ignore it; why did Ubisoft sent representatives to this forum during the production/promotion of the game; why did Ubisoft made false promises about going back to the roots, advertising the game as one not unlike the older ones when the reality was far from it; and so on.
But I don't need to answer these questions, as the answers will easily come to anyone who had followed the series over the past years...unless (s)he is a naïve fool who still believes in the goodwill of Ubisoft and the world! *stares at Antalyan*

It begs the question why ubi is so keen on pushing the idea that they respect the game's roots and tradition, doesn't it

I'm not talking about opinions, I'm saying where are the strategy discussions, the fun anecdotes, the fan made content, etc. But maybe people are STILL waiting for the game to run properly, or there really is nothing to say about this game other than complain. If people stop ranting, the h7 section is dead.

I find some posts here a bit hypocritical. Yes, there is generally negative attitude here at HC regarding H6 and H7. But excluding those who do not enjoy the game, what has been done by the people who love this game? I'd say almost nothing. Yes, there are some, let's call them positive threads about missions, or some improvements. But where are the discussions about strategy from you guys that love the game? If you love it so much, why don't you share your thoughts? If my memory serves my right, most discussions regarding the improvement of the game (skills or something else) always involved Elvin, Maurice, Stevie and JJ. I may have omitted few members, but these people have discussed the game even though they do not like it. So my question towards those people who love the game is: Why are you not present in those discussions? You don't need to be a genius to discuss ideas. Why aren't you vocal about your opinion, even though you are minority here? (Dies is an exception here ) If you want to have any positive opinion regarding the game here, you have to write it yourself. No one is going to do that for you. It is always easy to put all the blame on certain people who bash the game. But, isn't that just hiding and doing nothing, like "I'll just go with the flow, but I'll criticize that flow without taking any actions myself". Discuss maps, discuss strategies regarding skills and factions, discuss different builds, etc. Honestly, I don't believe that people are enjoying the game as much as they say, because there is a lack of these threads. And even if they are made, they are made by the people who do not love the game. Oh, the irony...

What is the point to share positive things about HVII on this forum? What is the point of discussing strategy or anecdotes here? This forum has succeeded on drowning any positive voice for HVII. What is left here is group of bitter, dissatisfied NWC fans repeating same boring mantra. There is nothing here that can be valuable for Heroes VII or for its fans.
Developers rightfully avoid any interaction on this forum because whats left here has no value for Heroes VII. And that is greatest achievement of those who are still here. To drive away anyone who has anything positive to say or anything to do with development of HVII. I love to poke my head here from time to time and stir things up with posts like this and get a few laughs, but I'm fully aware that there is nothing that I can read here that can have any meaning for me as a player and a fan or for a developers.

@Sleeping_Sun

Inviting anyone who has to say anything positive about HVII to write here is like inviting someone on his own stoning.

In a world where Ubisoft represents good and HC evil,
Clueless and arrogant noobs developing the game get praised,
By people claiming themselves fans of the series when probably they didn't ever play H3,
Dark-Whisperer why don't you hang out in other forums then, or the atmosphere is the same everywhere isn't it?

It's unbelievable that some people are still deluding themselves into thinking MMH7 is a success. The game is an utter failure and that is fact, so deal with negative reactions or try to be constructive about things you find positive. Peace.

It's not like we are the only ones dissatisfied. After all, there are other places where you can see all the negativity about the game, e.g. Steam.

Even so, should I remind you about things that happened over the past years, during the development? When the same publishing company starts to have an "open dev blog" to "make interaction with the players and have more feedback", something much different and worse happened. First, that Necropolis townscreen, then the skill system announcement (which was asked to be revealed in the first months of development), then the deal about multiplayer.

I could go on, but the point stands - this game *deserves* negativity. Some people tried to be positive, but when you get a game, which is less than a shadow of the previous games, then I don't see why we shouldn't voice our negative opinion. (Even if Ubi will still say "we read comments and collect feedback" and do things they want to, not the customers.)

I still ask - if you like the game, would your love towards the game rise if there were more people that like it? In other words, if the game had the features working in a way that many like it, would your likeability towards the game rise as well, with features, gameplay mechanics and other things that would blow your mind?

yeah the game sucks and we know it. but dark whisperer says the truth. anyone who dares to praise a single aspect is shut down. and galaad can be as dramatic as he wants about the hc=bad/ubi=good. no one ever said that and he is just twisting words.

someone who likes anything about the game does not mean he is an ubi agent or that the game is a huge success. the game can still be like able and some people cannot deal with it. ugh

Hey pal, Heroes VII has been so badly received by the so called "hardcore fans" and newbies alike not due to skill wheels, lore mumbo jumbos, Ashan brainstorming, recycled graphics, mute sprites or stuff like that, but mainly 'cause it's f****** unplayable on releasing and take into account that a bunch of good-faithed clients spent fifty bucks on a broken mess. And this is, in my opinion, a simple felony: fraud.

And it's not the one and only mistake Ubisoft had committed so far: both Heroes V (oh forgetful fellowmen! ) and Heroes VI were equally unplayable during many months after their releasing (the second still is in my opinion).

So enough is enough. Yeah, it's a game, but it's their job and they're getting paid for it.

Actually (and I'm playing HOMM saga right from the start) I do like one thing in the seventh installment: the aesthetical side of it, which I consider nice enough, against the opinion of many good chaps in HC. But what for?: the game's poorly optimized and the map editor is crap.
