I think that one pyramid is for siege purposes and the other for utility like a force field or some other bonuses to creatures. It might well be shooting lasers but I'd like to think it's not that crude. Bonuses and magic enhancement would be far more interesting than just another shooting unit imo.
+1 magic enhancement seems legit.

What about flying wolves? That would be something new. There is even a Transformers Beast Wars hybrid called Windrazor (which I own ):

Well, when taking into account that they want to make more use of battlefield obstacles, maybe a force field to block unit paths? Strategically that would be really interesting!

A shooting walker or a melee walker?
Or.... caster Walker?
It can't be a caster with Priest there...
Maybe ranged
Just a question, but do we know that the Priest/Chaplain are actually creatures and not hero classes? I mean, unlike the other creatures where the basic/upgraded creature avatar looks very identical except for a bit of added colour/feathers on the armor, this one has a completely different avatar, more like an alternate class. Of course we saw something similar with the H5 Priest upgrade and the bucket ... Did the file path of the original image say that this was a unit?

If griffins are not part of the haven line-up (which seems to be the case), maybe they will be added as neutrals. That way they could still be recruited in the final campaign with Duke Ivan. Also having griffins as neutral would remove the need for an upgrade, so no more stupid armoured griffins of H5 and 6!

So, I'm sexist and destroying your website for preferring male units over female. No reaction from you when Lexxan said the exact same thing but reverse gender and Xerox expressed his/her disgust for the "sausage-fest" in Haven.
Obvious double standards is obvious.
No, it's the fact that you can barely post anything on these forums without spewing your resentment towards female appearances ingame in one way or another. There's a word for that: gynophobia.
Thanir said: Following the description of Haven on the MMH7 site I would be surprised if the last Haven unit is not the griffin:
Honour and Duty
Mounted knights make up the Empire's heavy shock troops, supported by heavy infantry and missile weapons. The Empire can also count on the support of mythical creatures, such as Angels and Griffins.
https://mmh7.ubi.com/en/factions/haven -> on the right side under "Haven Traits"
The point is that the various duchies all have their own staple animal. The Griffin Duchy is just one of them. I would actually not be surprised to find that the Wolf in the Haven lineup will replace the Griffin and that we're only going to see the Griffin as a neutral unit instead, since all other units in the Haven lineup have Wolf symbols and hence, represent the Wolf Duchy.
Edit: Still reading through this topic and I made this post before I saw the line-up for Haven completely. Yeah, Griffins are out.

Certainly doesn't to me.
Adventure Map still has to look cool for in-game cutscenes (ugh), Battlefield still reminds me of H6 and H6's graphical problem was that it was too detailed and uniform.

To get on the nostalgia train.
If the Sylvan elves win over Fortress Dwarves (Which sadly I have no doubt about)
And if the Dungeon elves win over Inferno Demons (Which I have absolutly no doubt about)
Gues what line-up we will end up with?
You got it H2 line-up. The best lineup there ever was :-P. And That would make me happy for a change.

Though the Dungeon will be filled with Purple (notice I didn't use the word 'Dark') Elves...

Maybe "Watcher" is a new version of Glory/Blazing Glory? She's really pale and delicate. Just look at her face. It's white in comparison to Swordbearer's face.
So are we going to get new - this time cool - Glory?

Black and purple is ma favorite color combination, so no problem on my side with this ;-). Heck I even have a black and purple kilt in my wardrobe.

And considering that we already had Watchers in Dungeon in H6 that were made by Limbic, I really hope that Watcher is just a placeholder name.

Elvin already said that they were walkers, nothing special.
Considering how the Griffins were removed from the line-up, I actually suspect that the Watchers are a Core unit and that Dire Wolves are Elites (essentially taking over the role from the Griffins in the line up from H6). I wouldn't be surprised if Dire Wolves have a leap attack, which allows them to jump over obstacles - in essence, creating a semi-flying creature - and possibly some double attack, much like the Wolf Raiders from Stronghold had in H3.
With those Watchers among the Cores, they are pretty much a replacement for the Sisters we had in H6. We already have a Melee and a Ranged unit among the Cores, which means the Watchers likely have something to do with religion and therefore magic (which is further reinforced by the fact that the upgrade has a religious symbol on the helm).

Dire wolfves are one of few confirmed units. They are tier 1/core - check yourself.

In all seriousness (besides thanks for that link, I didn't yet get around to reading the *official* site ), having the Dire Wolf as an Elite unit would make it very easy to alter the line-up for the other Duchies. It requires for the most part to only exchange that creature for the duchy staple creature and very little to any of the other units. Having Griffins as a Core unit would seem ... odd.
But that's just me.

JeremiahEmo said: Watchers are boring and the name itself suggests that it shouldn't even be an elite unit.
I'd rather have Griffins over them though. Wolves + Griffins = awesome combination. Watchers are the only replaceable units because the others are kickass.
I wonder why there are no Griffins. We're gonna have the Griffin Duchy in the campaign right?
And Magic Bird is such a lame name. They should rename it to Garuda or Roc.
You only think they are boring, because they are female.
Grow up.
I'm sure they sit atop something, so much humans would be boring.
Anyway there is a creature known as Chamrosh in persian mythology, and it is a wolf/dog based griffon. Half canine, half bird of prey.
