They have MM8 in common 
If i had to make a guess, those clothes arent exclusive to them and rather are for all the races or at least the ones with the appropiate body dimensions. Which doesnt change the fact that their canon clothes are based in...spiders. I dont ee what were you even trying to do other than looking ridiculous but you always do so i dont see the need.

MM8 Necromacer Guild doesn't have anything common with spiders. If you will visit Twilight (yes, that's undead town name in MM8  - but at least MM8 has excuse that it was released long before Stephenie Meyer's Pulitzer winning story  ), you will see that there are no spiders anywhere but traditional undead architecture:
However there is spider theme in MM8 but this belongs to other race and you really need to look around to find it, not in like Heroes 6-7 where you see spiders in Necropolis nearly at every step:

In the end, the fact is that Spider dressed necromancers and pretty vampires and green necromantic magic (thank you avonu) had basis in the old world saga. "They can change their clothes" awesome, their starter clothes still spider themed.

I'm not sure why you're spending so much time on him. The guy's immune to reason. He's some sort of Jeremiah with an attitude problem and "arguments" that explore different definitions of the word. No need to take him seriously at all. I mean, haven't his posts so far been conclusive enough?

Screenshots aren't appealing, to be honest. There's nothing in these pictures that makes me think that this game will be worth giving a try.
I suppose I just don't get why is the stuff created by Ubisoft so intensively hated, while the old stuff doesn't seem all that amazing.

customization ain't that new, you know Just because you can select one spider outfit it doesn't mean every damn thing has a spider like in h6

It's not exactly about quality of graphics... Rather, the visual design.
There is a way to decently use limited technology. But if designs are unappealing from the start, that doesn't change much.

i havent played MM8, but i assume that those are the clothes that the chracters sttart with and then they slap armor over them or lose them altogether.
I just find it amazing how you jump over the point over and over and dont adress it because you cant answer it without compromising your attitude. Some of the things that you hate from the Spiderpolis and that you claimed Ashan copied (spiders, youthful looking vampires and green magic) already had some sort of basis in the old universe. You can dislike the H7 and thats ok but those things were already there lol, deal with it

I think I had enough of these "arguments" for one day. Had you lived a while earlier and played the games maybe you would've appreciated the designs more and see how stupid and out of place it would've been for kids to come decades later to lecture you about their appeal.

I guess you must play the game or at least watch let's play before you decide ... pictures alone can't tell you much about game at all. It's akin to saying Ferrari is a bad car because it's red, and red is not your colour.
Gamplay > Story/Lore > Visuals
That said, I personaly dislike old MM games, because of the party/FPS system ... I dislike old "3D" dungeon crawler rpg's as a whole, with very few exceptions. I always prefered isometric games like Baldur's Gate or Icewind Dale... And if it's dungeon crawler fantasy game that's 3D ... Heretic  (if you call it dungeon crawler). The best. To this day.

I'm sorry for trying to see whether a game appeals to me before I play it? I thought it was a normal thing to do? When it does not appeal to me, I have every right to express it - I'm talking about my first impressions, not writing a review.
Are you telling me you're actually defending the designs rather than the game? I'm going to understand if you say that gameplay makes up for it, but you're actually saying these visuals are well-designed? "Blinded by nostalgia" becomes quite literal with this context, actually.
