So, uh... when are they going to reveal the warfare units for Necropolis and Stronghold? I mean, the others were revealed almost right after the the rest of their line ups were (for the Academy is was only 2 weeks later) but it's been over two months since the Necropolis units have been revealed. It's been a week or so since Stronghold's reveal, so I guess they get a pass but... we still don't have Necro.

Hello, I'm new here, and i need say sorry for my english its not my native.

I know some members of this forum have the contacts with Ubisoft, so they can hand off my proposal.

So, Ubi can make videos with gameplay on youtube channel, around 40-60 min. - one video in 1-2 weeks, where developers explain game mechanics, factions, or some another things, maybe stream with one map.

This idea not new, firaxis with civilization, developers of galactic civilizations 3 etc.

This is increase Heroes 7 popularity, and Ubi get better feedback from community.

pretty much, they don't really listen to you unless you go insane and start an angry mob lol (seen with the H6 town screens and the H7 Necro)

Meh, I am going to get shot for this, but I actually quite like the spider catapult design. Heroes 6 had many issues but I think every faction having a different design was actually an improvement.

I will gladly take the bullet for you, my friend.

Each faction having its own catapult or war machine was indeed an interesting feature in H6, and I'm glad to see it return in H7: Academy has pyramids, Haven has the good old Trebuchet etc, I bet Stronghold will get some stone-throwing Cyclops...

H5 was a bit silly there, Demons having the same kind of trebuchet as their Haven nemesis...

They had different designs. They had different ways of functioning too? I don't own that game, I don't know. I'm asking this because I don't see much point (such as I don't see much point in making this game in 3D structure) having different skins for a same purpose. I would embrace the idea of having different looking catapults if they worked differently, had different mechanics, helping to endeavor that uniqueness everyone is so fond of.

I don't think they had different workings then. Now, we don't know yet, but given that they've been making a fuss with Warfare Units and such and not all Factions getting the same kinds, they might get different workings.

Well, in the end the only thing they do is fire at walls or towers and destroying them. The animation and design however differs between each faction. Stronghold has indeed a chained Cyclops throwing huge boulders. Necropolis has a spider-catapult that spits green projectiles. Inferno's catapult is also some kind of fire-spitting abomination. Sanctuary's catapult is graceful, shaped like a Kirin's head and firing massive water projectiles.

They all work the same, it's just that each faction has its unique war machine, whether that is an actual machine or a creature.

In H7 they might differ a bit more than 6, I reckon, although I dunno at which extend, if that's even worth the mention. Although, this is one point I might think it's taking a good turn. The downside is that it looks like Siege battles are uninteresting in themselves as they were presented so far and reported by those who went to that event. One thing I thought was rather amusing was Necropolis having only 2. I don't know if it is because 1 war machine is BOUND to have healing purposes, or if they indeed having different mechanics.
