I would be very sad if they will somehow trade our male Rakshasas with female ones though. The H7 Rakshasas we currently have is very cool.
those rakshasas were kinda ready from H6 but indeed a female rakshasa would mean no lion mane.
but gargoyles should be demon-like and not pretty at all. like one we saw from another pic somewhere here.
by the way all academy creatures (save cabir that looks like a pokemon) look pretty. from gargoyle to a tranquille faced golem, the young mages, the lady djinns, the ripped rakshasa and the greek-god like titan.
maybe it's intentional to show that academy values beauty?

I don't mind the concept of a female evasion/agility-based rakshasa but I have grown to really like the current rakshasas. They look like powerhouses of death and destruction!
Maybe if we got alternative upgrades but if that were the case I would prefer an alternative dwelling instead. That would make room for an actually new unit in the lineup and there are numerous possibilities indeed.

I still miss the Derwishes in the Academy lineup :-(, They were something I was really looking for as unit. The more whith their range reflect abilitie in DoC. they had so much potential.

The Dervishes are the least interesting Academy unit in DoC. I'm glad they were the ones that got the cut. Oh man, Limbic really does care about what fan thinks.

It looks like the Swordbearer can only move 2 squares on his turn!

That's because they are yet another boring defensive unit that stalls enemy attackers. That need not have been the case in heroes. I'd love a dagger zone attack or perhaps an ongoing dervish dance that damages enemies with revolving daggers and pushes them away with the power of wind. They had the potential to be an interesting ranged/melee mix with offensive as defensive usage.
That's what they are supposed to do btw, spin around with the power of wind magic. There is more to them than the looks of an exotic dancer.

I don't think he has small movement its just his 2nd move thanks to haven high morale its mentioned at site and he is also not upgraded.

I'm sure they could be very interesting, but some part of me is glad they didn't get included. There are so many Academy Creatures I'd want to see before the Derwish.

I hope there will be some ablities for the creatures! Yes they can downgrade the number of abilities (In Heroes VI sometimes a creature has 5-6 ) but should be 1-2 abilities for the creatures.
