There are no undead humans in Ashan. So she is either a skeleton, a ghoul, a ghost, a lich or a vampire. Take your pick.
But yeah she is a vampire from the beginning.

Don't forget the undead undead. Things that were undead and then were undead. Kinda like Merikh, only with less armor and more undead.

indeed that is also a great point. Vampires can become other races aswell, so imo it would be awsome to see naga vampires or even cyclops vampires. But I guess that would be hard to represent in game.
I'm sure tho, that spiders are also vampires

Sligneris kindly told me on the SC that also Lyla is a "legacy hero", since she appears in Swords of Xeen. I went looking for information on her and found out she is a guild master. I did also find this picture which resembles Lyla in my opinion. Can somebody confirm that it is Lyla on the screenshot?

Well, I don't think that is Lyla. It may be more like she was inspired by the devs, but they took a slightly different direction. Was there any mention of her being a vampire (or anything similar) in MM5?
Besides, in early NWC days, you got many characters sharing the same name (comparing the games), like Crag Hack and Crag the Hack.

Well, tried to, once, but never got deep into the game. Maybe I'll try some other time.
At any rate, does anyone know why are they just showing four heroes? Not even, let's say, "Haven Hall of Heroes II" to show the rest of them.

They got drunk back then too? First MM I played was MM7 and their drunk faces were quite fun. Although I enjoyed the most when they got insane. Their laughing was quite amusing.

Orc (Cyclops) and 2 Beastmen (Minotaur and Ratkin)
We even have now Undead Golem (Merikh )
Never joke of Ashan, no matter what silly or illogical topic it is, because you will never know, what you could get at the end.
Some people wanted spider-themed Erwan in Ashan and they got him.
