Ivan Griffin, his name says enough, is a descendant of Anton Griffin, one of the protagonists in H6.
However, I can't say why the Haven faction is Wolf. Can someone enlighten the both of us here?
The haven campaign is not about Ivan, its about the wolf duchy. Told by the angel Muzrael (at least I think thats her name) to council Ivan. The final campaign will focus on Ivan, and the griffin duchy. The griffin unit will recruitable in this campaign, instead of the wolf id think. It will be interesting to see if the other haven units will be visually alterd as well. Colouring and such.

It's a bit a shame that we got Wolf Duchy's units instead of the units of the Holy Empire in general - don't get me wrong, they are cool, but I had quite a few fan scenarios in mind where you play as a characters that don't come from Wolf Duchy, and they should be leading imperial troops...

I agree the basing of Havens troops off of a single duchy gives off an exclusiveness that just does not seem right in most situations.

Is that truly a problem? These are just units, some need to be in army in order to make a faction playable. Heroes V was full of scenarios taking place in other times than the main campaign. The content of the army was for sure different, yet no one cared. This isn't really that important as you might think.

This news thread with the ones regarding Necro's reveal are no man's land of the Shadow Council and hardly anyone goes for a trip to these wastelands. Don't get me wrong, I highly support the cause of repairing the skill system but the concetration of hatred in that threads is simply too high.

We may argue upon whether or not about hatred but let's accept our opinions. In one matter I agree - ignorance is a frutless way of communication.
PS. Tommorow's article will be about Haven's racial skill, Righteousness. I can't wait to see it, as I feel that racials may be one of few highlights of Heroes VI skill system (including Grand Abilities).

Ashan could do with factions being less tied to nations. Being able to use stronghold as viking invaders just doesn't work well these days and that sucks

Might as well start making a list of what we should and shouldn't expect from the next game. For me, H7 is already screwed so much even restarting the development sounds like a good idea.
