Considering Sylana is a wingless dragon, do you think the green dragon is wingless too ? Because, it is precised that the phoenix is a flyer, but nothing is said about the green dragon.
The H7 Green Dragon will definitely be a walker.
Thanks for the clarification Marzhin !
I'm still torn between the three though ...
I'd really like to have the aggressive hit-and-run ish gameplay of Sylanna's Fury, but I'd also like to have unicorns and the phoenix ...

Marzhin I think the current info is not quite sufficient for a vote to be cast. We get the general lines but not the intricacies. Please, if I may ask, try posting some more information on specific creatures, like:
- some background on root snakes;
- emerald warrior, what exactly is it, is it that lynx rider?;
- why does the first line-up make treant a must have (dryad synergy);
- why are there 2 very alike creatures in option 3, dryad and pixie, what are some differences between them;
- what is that moon doe, how will it play?;
I find that the current info is good for a start, but I don't think it's sufficient. So please think about making another post about certain aspects, it's quite an important vote.
Also, another question. Are these line-ups final?

So, the offensive variant has the exact same champions as the defensive ones (and both are walkers with average - at best - movement), while the mixed one is the only to get a fast and flying champion? That seems a bit weird...

Totally agree with this!
This is an important vote and fan should know in what expect.
So please Marzhin or any insiders ...make your JOB

I'm pretty sure there will be some more in-depth posts about the creatures next week.
The issue is of course we don't have actual concept arts for the new guys. So any post will be illustrated with art from older games, which might cause some confusion.

Wait, wait, wait.
So if the Treant becomes a champion, then when choosing a champion in the game we will have to choose between a slow moving tank and an average moving tank?
Um... where's the diversity here? Like choosing different champions for different gameplay styles or different opponents?
It's kept in Haven and Academy (Haven: flyer or walker, Academy: flyer or shooter).

Yes, Phoenixes got my vote - even if they are blue for some nonsense reason.
However it seems they will not win this race (they did get an advantage on start, but the trend is definitely not on their side).
Sooo.... maybe there is at least still time to reconsider getting stuck with two walker tanks at the champion level?

Who said either of them will be a tank? What prevents the treant from being ranged or fast? They can make them entirely different from each other and from what you expect them to be. I don't think you should judge them entirely on how they played in previous games or how they look.

Please Guys the second line up is NOW the best possible!
It's not a coincidence if the second line up is called "PERFECT BALANCE"
Look at the champion Flyer and Walker...

You're kinda, sorta right. I mean - yes, thinking with only the previous games in mind is actually what lost me in the first place as I was 100% sure, the green dragon will fly as always.
Then again a fast Treant is something quite ridiculous for me. It's like a Flowery Necromancer or an Orc Scientist or a Giant Dwarf... oh wait... -_-

And who said they won't? It wasn't our idea to make judgements based on partial info, so we must work with what we have. For now there is nothing suggesting the treant will be different from the ones we have seen (and we know they're not supposed to be a ranged unit - no mention of such a thing in their description, unlike druids/hunters). And what do you call a tough unit that isn't particularly fast (as we know for certain is the case with the dragon and is most likely to be the same for the treant)? A tank.

Yet the most offensive option features both dragon and treant. There must be a reason for that. Huh?

Now the #2 option is the ones that offers more diversity, I'm soO loving this

And the most defensive option features exactly the same champions. There must be a reason for that as well - though I'll be damned if I can think of any.

Well, the best the devs can do now is at least tell us whether every creature is a walker, flyer or shooter.
That way we can at least TRY to predict how the faction will play out in every variant.
Names are fine, but if your lineup is starting to look like:
core: shooter, walker, walker
elite: shooter, walker, walker
champion: walker or walker
(and this is, what I assume is the Strength of the Forest) then to me this is something completely different.
PS. Yes, Dryad seems to be a walker, based on the Ashan Compendium art. Pixie is still a flyer.

@Marzhin Don't you think that Pheonix (its version known in Ashan) suits Academy better (CoH/DoC)? How will you explain his (at least) surprising cameo in Sylvan's lineup?
