We don't know everything that happened, but it seems strange that the Turks had no idea what plane it was. Are you saying they theoretically would have just shot down any plane that glanced through their territory? That would be extremely imprudent (or a less polite word: stupid), but if it was a Russian plane, quite clever, for the reasons I gave in previous post.

You like the word 'propaganda' too much. You use it all the time. Go to the HC search engine, type in your username, and then search for the word 'propaganda'.

The fight against ISIS isn't propaganda fuel; it just isn't the whole story is all. The common ground of both NATO and the Russian-Iranian-Syrian alliance is that nobody likes ISIS. Not even Saudi Arabia likes ISIS, even if they bolstered them; if ISIS had its way they would send the monarchy crashing down. ISIS wants a caliphate, and the Saudis are no caliphate.

Whenever you try to incite insurrection, you don't actually have control over what is going to happen as a result. It's like starting a bushfire in the wild. You can't accurately predict how the fire is going to develop; you might even be appalled at your level of success.

Unfortunately I don't know many synonyms to that word and it has a very tangible meaning so yes, I like to use it when I want to express certain stuff. If you worry about crashing the search engine or corrupting the forum database, report me to Valeriy, ye Vocabulary Nazi.

Turkey has absolutely no problems to shoot down the whole Syrian airforce and will gladly do it if it gets the chance - the only hindrance would be that Russia won't like it. There are reports that the Russians have wiped out the rebels who killed one of the pilots - true or not, there is no official comment from Turkey about that (yet). They will certainly be far more careful from now on, second incident of this kind will no longer be an incident and waving Article 5 around won't stop the Russians from shooting down everything which gets close to their planes, pretending "self-defense". Russia won't go to war against NATO but NATO is equally unlikely to go to war against Russia. Not now, at least.

What ISIS claims to want and what it really wants are two completely different things. If you go back a bit, do you remember how it appeared? Literally out of nowhere. That means heavy preparations and financing on state level, you don't just gather the local cuckoos and give them AKs to spread the word of the Prophet. I suppose you don't really expect them to chant the name of king Salman when entering battle, do you?

UN warns of ISIS expansion into Libya

This compounded with the fact that the war in Yemen is still going strong, but hasn't made the front page due to more pressing coverage in Syria/Iraq.

After the recent increase in tension between Iraq and Turkey following the deployment of Turkish troops inside Iraq without asking for any permission (according to the Iraqi government), the Iraqi prime minister now directly claims that "most of the ISIS oil contraband" goes through Turkey. Such claim was initially made by Russia after the downing of their SU-24. The Turkish government denies and some US official has allegedly said the the oil smuggled through Turkey is "economically insignificant", whatever that means.

i've read online that isis is financing their expansion by selling oil from sources they overtake, to anyone who will buy it; and that includes many western countries. don't know if there is any validity to that, but it sounds about right. business is business, to businessmen. being that people within a country can be so divided on issues(and most leaders and their lackeys are business-oriented), i don't see how anyone would think that that isn't feasible, personally.

Pretty sure a LOT of smuggling is going down east now, both by AKP-related business men and regular mafia.

A French acquaintace told me that they could exit Nato again if they wanted to. But not gonna happen soon, not unless someone like Le Pen would come to power... fat chance.

And back to Middle East, tensions between Russia and Turkey was the worst thing that the Balkans region could have now in context

Le Pen is dead politically, he was even expelled from his own political party. His daughter has serious chances to become president in 2022, 2017 is too soon for people to realize such shock. Then he has a little daughter which has them all, intelligent, pretty, so I guess the far right has interesting future in France.

My self I would vote even Hitler if he presented, this to say how deeply I feel intoxicated by the actual liars and criminals.

The problem I have with the Left in France and in general (not far left) is that they are far too accepting, too much for their own good, and they want to help so much that they don't even know the better priorities, and S-now happens.I don't hate any "groups", except criminals, but you know, first take care of you, then look out for others.

And socialist economy is a death sentence. So, be liberal all you want, just don't be foolish.

Edit: and Le Pen I mean also the daughter, not the father. I know the minimum info.

Kinda shows from the comments in this video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pDRZ3yo2B5c

I guess Hitler 2.0 is needed in 2022. Well, so much about liberty, freedom, secularism.

How will she solve anything really? Through uneforcable laws? Ban all mosques and qurans? Or better yet, ban putting names like Mohammad?
Really?

Otherwise: I always seem baffled. When Turkey blew up that Russian jet, Russia seemed angry. Wait what? He is a "strongman". Why all the huff and puff when someone does to you what you did to them?

To put it in a simple way, when you elect dicks. Dont expect you wont get smacked by another dick.

I hope france doesnt become nazi germany. The least I would wnat is to learn french.

Bah, get this back on Middle East talk. At least I can read that without cringing.

I don't see the point of posting that informative video, which only relates the score the far right did in France, then the comparison to Hitler, which is a total caricature. yes, I hope they will stay strong and straight, actually I don't care if they win one day, I believe they are necessary for a good democratic dialog. Because they say and show what other don't dare.

I dont believe FN with Le Pen has any chance of fixing the issues of mass immigration or failed integration of muslims through force.
The ideology behind her is the same stone-age ideology as that of islam.

The far right keeps telling people France is a "Christian" country. Wait what? It was a christian monarchy. It should be a SECULAR republic.

Instead of sharia law, you will have christian bible law, with Bible classes in france.

Erdogan did it, Putin did it, Le pen will do it.
Proof that Putin did it:

Fighting fire with fire leaves alot of scorched earth.

I dont believe christian bigotry is the answer to islamic bigotry but if the people of france want to go back some 1-2 cenutries in the past, who cares.

The bad news is that "Strongman" people like Le Pen, Putin, Erdogan rarely mind their own business within their own borders. This is what I personally makes me uneasy.

Don't know where you got your infos about french far right but you have all false there. Nothing about religion in program or discourses, then it is not about fixing immigration but about stopping the illegal one, which is very easy by re-enabling borders. I am afraid you mix everything then of course you don't like the taste.

I did a search on this matter and the result is very different from what you want it to prove.

Religions classes in Russia

This year Russia required fourth graders across the country to take a religion class. There are six choices: Orthodox Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Buddhism, secular ethics or world religions. Most Russians consider themselves Orthodox Christians, but most did not choose that class for their children.

The article says what everybody with working brain has already figured out but adds nice details. The whole ISIS crap has become so obvious throughout the last years that it only takes the removal of the pink glasses to see it - the facts are a mountain already and even without them the pathetic imitation of "fighting" against them should have made all but the greatest idiots question the official version.
