For a beginner i would say don't go higher than hard, but you can change it any time so it doesn't really matter.

I have downloaded the mod file but i can find no mention of installation instructions on the descriptions page.
I have TotE 1.3 on Steam installed.
Can I install H5.5 on the Steam version?

Also if anyone cares to answer....why is the original campaign easier on H5.5 than on vanilla. I understood the AI was better?

Yes, you can install on the steam version, but don't use the steam shortcut

The campaigns are not generally easier or harder, some missions can be easier some can be harder. If you want to use town conversion or governors in the campaigns, this can also lead to different results.

BUG: Hi Magno, there is some issue with the bags of gold (guise and endless bag).

On the save below the bag is not working at all.

The set up is the following:

Castle income: 8000
Estates + 2 knowledge = 300 gold
Estates + 16 knowledge = 650 gold
Endless bag + 9 knowledge = 450 gold
Golden guise + 16 knowledge = 1200 gold

Total income = 10600

But the real one less.
I managed to find out that the Endless bag of gold (+450 gold) is not working.

There is something wrong with the income of the main hero + guise too.

P.S.

Check the assasin with teleportation spec.

@Magno,

Some feedback and problem:

1.In the game, ability 'Storm wind' has actual effect of -10% initiative rather the stated -20%

2. Do you have .psd file for the in-game skill description, skill tree and class tree?  
We are doing the translation , but it will be very troublesome to make the psd file all over again .

3. Fans mentioned stone element is the worse choice than fire and water element mainly because of its low initiative (though with much higher health). What is your opinion?

1. intentional, balanced

2. No those were .tga files and are completely locked like the dds files, you need a program like Illustrater / CorelDraw / Publisher etc. You need to place the background in the program than import the content from the .doc file I send you and place it into position. All positions will be different from english, since the lengths of the text will be different.

If this is not possible for you, I recommend focusing on translating the class pages and skill trees only, because those are very easy! You only need to draw text boxes over the english titles, the txt boxes should have an opaque 'brownish' background. This is even possible in Paint.

3. True, therefore I already gave them +2 ini, -5HP and aura of magic resistance.

The Wyvern/Paokai hero has +1HP every two levels in the description, but it's actually 1HP+(2HP*hero level), is it a description error or a bug? I can replicate it and post a screen or a save if that will be needed.

I don't know why this has occurred as I have not made changes to objective sequences, but if you have otherwise finished the map and the objective doesn't complete, you can type @Win() in the console

Huh, strange. Went to

looked at Wyvern Tamer, and it said

"Wyverns, Foul Wyverns and Paokais in hero's army gain +2 to their Hit Points for every two level of the hero, starting on first level."

So it's a vanilla bug or what?


EDIT: Thanks for the explanation Magno. I think +60HP @lvl30 is quite a lot tbh

Unicorn maiden will add +15D at level 30 which results in a 33% Dmg reduction, but they also get +50% dmg. 60Hp means 50% Dmg reduction which also protects from spells, but they don't get the dmg boost so I call it even.

Maybe i'm just unlucky, but ARMG never seems to place an artifact merchant in my randomly generated XL ultima maps.

Does the template not place it for balance reasons? Also do you think a random Xl map could allow every faction (even one with no artifact merchant) to get every artifact in the game? Or would it be impossible without an artifact merchant even in XL maps?

@MagicCollector: Unfortunately there is no way to force the RMG to place at least one of each object type, but if you generate the map in the editor you can simple place the object from the objects panel. Is 30 seconds works.

I know i know, i just wanted to know if the ARMG CAN (it's not guaranteed of course) place an artifact merchant or if the templates make sure they don't appear.
