Are you going to add some heroes from All heroes of Ashan. What about some Xazardous mods? Can be added to Heroes 5.5?

First of all, congratulations for the good job.

I found some strange things while testing, don't know if they are  by design or not.
I'm playing the RMG maps installed with the beta (first 2).

- When I ran into a prison I got:"Cannot exit building!" and nothing happens.
- I'm playing full HD and the spell book seems distorted (more larger than should be).
- Necromancy was offered to Zehir.
- Occultism was offered to a fortress hero.
- The Occultism abilities are: Empowered spells (ok), Dark Ritual (ok) and Consume Corpse (!!)

I played with Quantomas AI one year ago (almost an entire campaign) but now the AI seems to behaviour differently. AI heroes avoid me every time, even when they are much stronger. I won both games 7 days after taking all towns with AI heroes wandering around.

Probably a bug. But i never experienced it so far. tested with 4-5 prisons.

Occultism is not dungeon specific anymore. It is skill available to all magicians. Necromancy is available to magicians out of necropolis as well but the chance is small.

There is no mistake here. Consume corpse is now part of Occultism.
Refer to the in-game skill tree pages when you level up.

1920x1080 is this i assume? Probably it is not done yet for that resolution.

Campaigns are not yet compatiable with the mod. Wait for the future versions.



Are there new artifacts?
I saw boots that let you walk on water and give 2 knowledge and 2 SP.

Boots of levitation.
They allready existed (optainable in homm 5 c1 m4 camp when isabell got trapped by biara).

I play with 1920x1080 too and everything is fine.

Seriously, you need more heroes?

UI modding is very tedious, I have gone a long way to get what i have now.

When playing MMH55, you have to stop thinking in racial skills and normal skills, all skills are just skills of equal value and the question you deal with is how you fill up your 6 or 8 slots.

I should add necromancy is only available to heroes who get very little or no morale penalty (demons,artificial etc). Check the hero development pages in the ingame manual.

The widescreen of 31j had a few imperfections.
The prison issue was probably already in TOE, I didn't make changes to this.

The AI issue was reported for 31j as well, the hero was randomly given the freelancer role mode, see part of script manual:

SetHeroRoleMode – allows some control over the AI heroes’ distribution of roles.

Syntax

SetHeroRoleMode( heroName, roleMode )
}}}

Description

Allows setting the mode for the hero "heroName" in which the AI that controls him will allot
him a role in a non-standard way.
The mode is specified through the "roleMode" parameter.
The modes (also described in HOMM5_A2_IDs_for_Scripts.pdf):
* "HERO_ROLE_MODE_REGULAR" – a standard role allotment for this hero
* "HERO_ROLE_MODE_FREEMAN" – the hero will always be a “Freelancer” (a free hero not
caring for capturing enemy towns or carrying troops)
* "HERO_ROLE_MODE_HERMIT" – the hero will always be a ‘Freelancer’, and no other heroes
will be exchanging creatures or artifacts with him.

They were pointless on most maps, sometimes even on water maps, so i added this bonus to make them more useful.

Magno! Issue occurred!
5-6th week or so.

I had the BIN file.

Now we will play the map again.
Same configuration without the BIN file.

I will delete all save games whatsoever.

I made new LAN exe based on 3.1, so no 8 skills and no QAI, but still all the other stuff, please try with perfect sync installations, no bin file and don't change the name of the .exe files:

Congratulations

First things first : Congratulations for this wonderful work. I never even knew this mod existed until today. I will hopefully have some time later this evening so I can try it out.

I've tried to read through most of the topics, and if I missed anything, please excuse me. I only have 2 questions :
- for the ARMG : are the army stacks randomized {ie : instead of fighting a horde of same lvl6 you fight random stacks of creatures up to the same strength value of a lvl6 horde?}
- is there a plan to remove the simultaneous turns checker of? {I can provide a link on steam where that has been done - but it would be nice to have that as well integrated in this mod}

Is it ok if I will use this thread in the future to post findings/bugs?

Hello again. I'm playing a lot with a friend in my living room, tipically on a random template that I've cooked and it has 2 initial zones + treasury for each player and then a massive treasury to connect us. It takes 1.5 - 2 hours to get to the last treasury/arena so we want the ability to play simultaneous turns  until we actually meet. {ie : the AI that decides when to stop simultaneous turns will disconnect simultaneous turns as soon as we both reach our 1st expansion zone and this is usually within 8-12 days after starting the map even if the connections are linear like : 1->3->5->7->9 for player 1 and then 2->4->6->8-> for player 2}.

PEST stands for Permanent Endless Simultaneous Turns and what it does, in a nutshell is to disable the logic that decides when to end the simultaneous turns. It is a great help for people like me and my friends who just want to play forever and creep the map and have humongous battles.

EDIT1 : we've also tested pest and it works with Quantomas AI latest version available without any problems.

No it doesn't, the new classes will be broken. But the the new LAN exe file I just uploaded can be modified to have PEST, but i first want to have it tested without PEST to be sure where possible bugs are coming from.

EDIT: i just realised that if PEST does truly work with QAI31j standalone, than maybe activating simultaneous turns fixes the passturn issue lotihoti and dredknight were having. If anyone has time please test MMH55.exe with simultaneous turns!

I'm assuming that I can use the links from the 1st post on this thread to get all the necessary files for the setup. {and install over TotE 3.1 with no other modifications in order to be able to report bugs, correct?}

My friend patched the 31j and he gave me the patched exe on a stick. He lives quite close to me and I will have a chat to him at 8pm today {that's UK time - aprox 5 hours from now; and I will try to respond back as soon as I get the details}

Morning Magnomagus. Sorry for last evening but I've had a rather rough day yesterday and wasn't in mood for anything at all. Please disregard my comment about QAI + PEST working together. I've got it all wrong and they didn't work together. We we're playing on an PEST patch only and not with QAI + PEST - I'm really sorry for this.

On the brighter side though, my friend is a tester and he wants to get involved in the project and help with testing.
Therefore :

- do you have anything like a test plan {my friend is offering to help with this}, or test scenarios?
- do you prefer a structured approach to testing or rather a generalised unit test approach?

what can we use to communicate better {or rather your preferred chat client} ? {Skype, YM, Google Hangsout}

Another bug.
Warlock that has expert  Occultism -> empowered spells -> elemental vision
is suggested Exorcisim which is not in the warlock tree.
