Oh I see, I was not aware that the vanilla AI was being used in utility mode. It's unfortunate that the mod's AI didn't make it into multiplayer LAN mode.

Yes, it is unfortunate (although I do not know exactly why it doesn't work in LAN)...

Hopefully, Quantomas is going to finish his work on his new (another) AI engine, and even more hopefully it can be ported/implemented in Heroes 5 (in which case MMH5.5 would definitely use it)...

I think it doesn't work with LAN because advanced AI is ran through separate process and that for sure would desync like hell.

Been getting back into it after a long time and I've not updated past version 9b that I used before, so I don't know if some of these things have been solved or implemented already.

Witch Huts;
七an't they like the Shrines that teaches you a spell, show what they offer once they've been visited once?

儿s it intended to be able to use the Witch Hut to bypass class restrictions on learning skills?

儿s it intended to be able to use the Huts together with the Memory Mentor to gain any skills or perks you want? (you can't relearn from a witch hut after using the Mentor but you can still turn it into a perk).

Low Tier Spells;
七an't there be a way to acquire them like the Arcane Library is for 4th to 5th tier spells? Whether changing the ones in your Mage's Guild or being able to change the ones offer in Shrines. I've had games where I'm simply unable to acquire the spells I want and there's nothing I can do to remedy the situation.

Empty Slot on Leveling Up;
入ust today I had a game when I leveled up, and was only offered two perk choices, when I had seven available perks that could show. But the other two choices where completely empty and the two choices I was offered broke the paths I was progressing on.
In addition that map doesn't have an Arcane Library, and I couldn't simply select one of the empty options either.

Not possible due to multiple issues:
- harcocdded
-  classes get different skils

No. But it is too much work to make a specific tree for each class.
May be it will be done in the future. May be not.

No. As far as I believe @Magnomagus intended to exchange memory mentor for another building.

There is no way besides map shrines. Also some of the low level spells are granted from perks which helps. There is no way to rebuild magic guilds (hardcodded).

On standard maps (pre Heroes 5.5) it is possible the spells not to be allowed on the map so you will never get them. This can be fixed by editing the map in the editor.

What level was that? how many primary skills do you got? can you provide a screenshot of your hero skills+perks build?

By default when leveling up the hero is always provided 4 options - 2 secondary skills and 2 perks. If you have filled up all secondary skills slots (and upgraded them to expert) you will get empty choices. The same will happen for perks if none are available.

I've tried hitting level 26 in various different ways, using a Tree free level up, a few small fights, different one big fight tries.

I've played the map before and haven't had the problem occur (reached lvl 30), but it wasn't the same hero. (used Calid).


Anything else?

Which exe file are you using to play the game?
Did you activate 8th skills option when you started the game (and every time before you load it) ?

I don't see anything weird, the boxes are empty because you already have all your skills at expert level and 8 skills was not activated.

I use MMH55_64.exe to start the game, I don't remember if i activated the 8th skill, but its always my intent to have that activated. And I usually load my games from the main scene or from inside a match.

Why is that not weird? There is a total of 9 available perks when I level up, why would only two of those show?

Bu default you are offered at most 2 secondary skills and at most 2 perks. İn this case, since you clearly do not have any empty secondary skill slot or level to progress into, the game offers you 2 perks; it will not offer perks in lieu of the skills and vice versa.

I don't know if this can be changed at all, it might be hardcoded, probably @magnomagus knows...

I have also noticed a bug(?) or error: I tried it now for 3 times, 2 times a Warden and once a Paladin: The primary skill allocation tends strongly to favor Wisdom! All of the times, when I reached lvl 15-20, about 50% of the primary skills went into Wisdom! I know it could be bad luck once, but three times the same experience? Would be cool if someone could check if the values are wrong somehow...

Is this a bug?
I achieved a Plague Tent skill. Anyway...
I am offered to restore health of the units only few times per battle, after some time I have no longer control of it, such I cannot (CPU also not) heal my units.
Is healing tent usable only few times per battle or it is a bug?

I continue my game on RC10Beta 3. The good news is that from the sixth month of the game (after returning to MMH55_64.exe) to the end of the eighth month, "Permannently cursor flickering Issue" didn't appear anymore.
There is a some problem with Dragonblood Crystals.
My main hero Theodorus (Academy) has 10 Dragonblood Crystal from perk. The hero has in backpack Pendant of Conflux (Knowledge=44). In Town Managment, the amount of Dragonblood Crystals is 30, and the number of summoned Arcane Eagles is 10 in each 4 cities of the Academy (Mage Guild level 5) and a certain number of wolves in two Sylvan cities (I do not remember, but probably 18 in each city). Next Theodorus get Elemental Waistband (in backpack). The amount of Dragonblood Crystals in Town Managment has changed to 60, but the amount of summoned Arcane Eagles has not changed (it still is 10). The hero summons 10 Arcane Eagles in each of the four cities of the Academy (Mage Guild level 5) and summons 28 Wolves in each of the two cities Sylvan (Mage Guild level 5). In Town Managment "Weekly Summoned Creatures" before and after get Elemental Waisband is still 78 (real summoned creatures is 40 Arcane Eagles + 56 Wolves =96). The hero's Knowledge= 44. My other hero (Academy Josephine), who is the Governor, has also 10 Dragonblood Crystals

@shadeshifter: a sample size of 3 is nothing, but I know if the progression is really bugged it will always give defense not knowledge.

@forsberg: with the increased healing amount, it would be the strongest perk in the game if it would heal 10 times.

@mario: yes, I capped the summons at some point to prevent the player overpowering the neutral growth.

Tent works 3 times per battle. It is meant to be that way because tent will be too strong compared to other perks (each perk value is roughly 2 primary skill points).

I use the latest version of ReShade with Adaptive Sharpening (a must), SMAA (extremely recommended but might be taxing for low-end GPUs), and when I feel like it, MXAO (requires subjective fine tuning for best results, and heavily taxing). I have AA disabled ingame, and AF maxed. As a side note, I typically play at 2560x1440 or 3440x1440, depending on where I am, with a GTX 1050Ti. On my Surface Pro 2 with Gen 4 Intel graphics, I play at 1600x900 with only AS enabled...

EDIT: You can give a try to DPX and HDR filters too (not together though) but I found them too unnatural for Heroes 5 feel. Beyond these, all the other filters just felt too much, over the top effects IMHO...
