Thank you. It was actually very useful, by matching stuff from different campaigns with the content in the links you posted I actually figured out what each byte does. However, I still couldn't pack a campaign back up and I tried like 10 different ways.

In such cases, I like to think that's it's easier to investigate a crime scene hands on than from word of mouth.

You can always try asking the ERA folks, maybe one knows about the source code.

Is it possible somehow to remove a "This map in not playable" in scenario description? When I try to validate map this window is popping up:

The 5th byte from the extracted h3m should be changed to '01'.

There's also a h3maped patch you can implement if you want to do this automatically:

The reason why it's not included in Unleashed editor (well, public release) is because it's a valid check but it sometimes fails for reasons I didn't bother solving.

Btw is it possible to create watchtower requiring exact ammount of attack (if you have more - you cant go through)?
Example: watchtower will let go hero with exactly 25 attack, my hero has 27 so he shouldnt be able to go.

I don't think it's possible on neither SOD or HotA without creating a map programmed with advanced stuff such as it's own mod mechanics created by the author to go compactible with the certain map only.

Some manipulations with object + event things. If you're want to dig something else beside standart grail, this could be an option! One flaw here - you need to press a spacebar after digging and in the case of spellbook + event, there is a windows pop-ups occurs when map is loading

Skin changing would make to look it better, btw

It works like this in vanilla as well. Fine trick, especially, for RPG-type of maps

My friend, I am really terrified by the amount of the work you have done, but ERA has its own Object TXT editor, which saves everyone from editing text tables directly.
Moreover, these tables are not ever intended to be edited via Notepad!

What you need to do instead is to use ObjTxtEditor which is distributed with ERA and located in the Tools folder.
The tool also can be found in Google, but many links are dead to this day.

This doesn't work on HotA tho(tools), so HotA mapmakers are used to work with the notepad editing, and it works all fine. Atleast I'm using something better than the most simplistic one: notepad++
It has no massive use tho, but singular tho, and for all the regular objects only WoG or Unleashed is required, so the notepad has use for HotA objects in the least

About the renaming process: I tried editing the map without renaming and extracting first, but then it did not work for me, because values are different. Also, if I dont rename, windows wont let me extract from the map...

LMoracle can't find HOMM3 window. How to fix this?

Hello everyone

How to change town texture (without special tools, tested in SoD):

1) Replace original texture on any with single tile (this will hide the original texture)




2) Place under it any object with the desired texture
