Should we make a campaign? Forge invades ashan. Or the ancients discover ashan. Or the day ashan clashed with the gods. Or something along the lines that the old universe invades or tries to reform the new universe. Think of it like a comic book multiverse idea when two universes collide. That way we can implement forge as well as the old factions withtheir lineups.

All it takes, is Sandro killing Asha. The veil would be lifted and Ashan would have access beyond the void.. and vice versa ^^

Can you believe i did think that a campaign like that would be interesting? Sandro appearing from beyond the void with his memories from all his incarnations and creating a crusade against Asha, Urgash and the other dragons?

PS For LizardWarrior:
Any chance you can create creatures like these:
1. Nature Ghost/Spirit
Maybe this can be an undead unit, or even a demonic unit, or maybe a darker version of a sylvan unit.
2. Cernunos
I always wondered why they never used Cernunos in heroes. It is an iconic God and leader of the Wild Hunt. Seeing how elves have taken the name of Hunters, it is odd that this one has not appeared at all. It could provide a much better alternative to the blade dancer, or even a nice champion unit that is not a dragon.

PS2:
What if, the nobility skill-set were to take the place of the Racial skill. So that heroes with the "Noble or Governor" class has this skill which allows for the various improvements to town and the are of effect be their main skill-set?

Yes, but I should be able to import anything as long as I got XML animation file for it. Also it's a bliss to work in the normal UDK compared to their abomination of an editor. Gonna try to import units from Painkiller next.

Verriker's my Erwin storyteller and Old Universe vs Ashan has been a major trope of this mod

I'm all for more units and believe me it's not hard for me to improvise and make new units for the mod (except for h7 editor, I still need to import them there). And so far I need 2 upgrades and a new creature per faction, also blade dancers will be no more. Cernunos can be either an extra creature for Sylvan or maybe a 2nd upgrade for Druid/Hunter (though not so sure). I was planning to use Cu Sith as extra creature, but I can find other uses for it.

I could add Nobility instead of faction skill for the 3rd class of each faction, though I don't think that's priority.

How you prioritise is entirely up tou you Lizard. We can only provide  ideas in order to keep you inspired. And also to be present here for when you need them. Right now, you focus on what you think is more important for the initial release.

I wanna thank you for your laudable efforts. Because of you and other good entrepreneurs, H7 might have a future. Anyway, allow me to contribute with a couple of harmless thoughts:

-Replacing units is cool, but in my humble opinion one of the worst sides of the game are the city screens, which seem to be extracted from a cheap mobile game. Why don't we start with that? Heroes VI graphics are faaar better... How is even possible?

-Is there a way of optimizing the game? I mean, there's something awfully done in the algorithm, the code, the overall programming or whatever. Can you guys fix that, reducing the loading times and all? I don't know s*** about programming, hence I'm not sure whether this can be actually achieved or not.

We will replace the townscreens someday, but that's not planned for first version. The only townscreen who will get some minor adjustments will be Necropolis like no spider legs and the green toned down. Though Sleeping_Sun was kind enough to offer his help, we will change (at least some of) the townscreens in a future version.

Unfortunately I don't have access to source code, so memory leaks are something I'm not able to fix, at least for now.

Here it is. It's a H7 map with all models and textures I've done so far.


Some test of crystals. If you're able to change the particle system (PS) color to red will be great. Otherwise the PS should be removed the mine will become completely lifeless.




Here some other tests of models and textures. The Alchemist's lab is the only one that's missing. The Sulfur mine is not fully finished but it can be used. I think the box is better for Sulfur pile as it's easier to distinguish from the Gold pile.




I hope these models will speed your process up. I haven't worked on any models for the past few months.

Just found your mod after taking a long break from the forums as H7 seems all but dead. You guys give me a renewed hope that I may once again a new heroes game! Keep up the good work guys.

Wish I had some experience in modding to help you guys out, but alas, I do not. So I'll a great cheer leader for you. Go Team Go!
