There are workarounds, but it's a lot of work and it's hard to fix, there's also the possibility that they will add the phoenix this expansion, so I'd better wait before finishing the phoenix.

Not much waiting left till we see what the expansion will bring. And if they do indeed keep the articles coming 1 or 2 per week, we will also get to know some of the neutrals before release.

It was just something that got into my mind. Reviewing might be a good thing to keep updated, because later on, after you have done much of a work, getting back to every single stuff can be painful. Of course, just a suggestion. Given that I won't buy H7 anyway, I'm not part of the scope.

As i see it Lizard, you are trying to slowly import the basis for new factions. I see that Inferno is slowly coming in. And i would ask if possible for the Pit Lord of Heroes VI because to be honest, Ashan or no Ashan, it is one good looking demon. You could also create a new forge unit if you can find enough mecha/android/hybrid kins of units to import. With the expansion, we'll have dwarves in the mix and new units so, if you wanted to, you could create all previous heroes Factions, especially heroes 3 ones. I think that almost all of them can be made happen.

So, creature wise, it is possible to implement all previous factions, one way or another. We can also create new ones. Or if you wanted to, you could rename the Ashan Fortress to something else like Citadel/Factory/Workshop and so on and bring back the old Fortress Faction from heroes III. Gnolls, Wyverns, Hydra, Lizardmen, basilisk are present. Dragonflys might come with the expansion along with Lizardmen but it is a slim possibility and the Gorgon can be created by a reskin of the lava elemental i guess.
-Though, i would urge and ask you that we try to use Bastion instead of heroes III fortress, but this is your mod, so i cannot do much more.

I would also ask you to use the models of AcidDragons basic versions for Lillim and Juggernauts, or if you want, create new ones. Also, i'd prefer the red and black on those creatures toned down and more colors used on them. Even in heroes III Inferno was way way too red and hurtful to the eyes. I know red is supposed to promote anger and irritation to the psyche but still... enough with the fire and brimstone idea of hell (too judeo-christian). I'd prefer to see more the idea of chaotic elements implemented to demons, or being sins incarnate, or even an alternate lifeform from the darkness beyond, it makes no difference, just less red and black. Use grey, brown, dark blue, dark green, even pale yellow. there are many colors out there.

Finally, Conflux could come back. though i guess that maybe Conflux special should be that the basic versions of the elements will be considered "core" units, while the upgrades will be considered "elites" and the faction thus, shouldn't have a champion, since it will be composed of elite units, thus giving it an advantage anyway.

I got enough material to add at least 3-4 more factions , models for both creatures and heroes, I even got buildings for adventure map, and I always can make more of both, perhaps with townscreens it's gonna be trickier, but we will manage that somehow. I just got some problems with the configuration file, but after fixing that I can add new faction as I see it fit. It's a shame that limbic failed to use UDK potential, Heroes VII could have been great, I wish so much I'd have access to the source code to fix some memory leaks(not sure if possible via dll binds)

H3 fortress ftw I may find and import a bull model and reskin it for a better h3 like gorgon, a re-skin of lava elemental may work too, still a bull would. I'm not so sure they are going to add a serpent fly, so we may need to import/make/improvise one.

Didn't Acid Dragon use the h6 models? But anyway, I won't use his models/textures without permission, that's not a nice thing to do. As for inferno, we already got efreets, ravagers, succubi and I got tons of demons to import from other games (like the devil I showed earlier). I'm not a big fan of the overblown fire theme either, I'd add darkness and insanity in the mix and keep the fire theme moderately to units like efreets and such.

They are lovely to look at, but are quite difficult to create. Also, I hope their implementation isn't difficult. Still, given the amount of effort I see here, I shouldn't complain.

Oh, and by the way, what is the current lineup for necreopolis, with the inclusion of all units (along with the alternatives)? Plus, will you change some buildings in your mod, such as the return of fort, citadel (with moat, tower creature growth) and castle (with two towers and creature growth), or will it be the same as in H7, where everything is separate? Just asking to know what to do.

For now, only changes we did for now was to remove the spiderlegs and add some minor changes to the necro screen, so I haven't changed basic building functions into, but I will look into that for the next version. The necro line-up is so far:

Skeletons, Ghosts+2nd upg Wraith, Zombies/Mummies, Vampires, Haunted Armor, Lich with 2nd upg deathless, Bone/Blood dragon

As for alternate, probably flesh golem.

I never meant to take the models without question >.<

And yeah, they used the models from heroes VII and made some visual changes on them.

I was thinking about the Demon racial...
Basic: A random stack of core demons appear in the battlefield 2xhero level rounded down each turn.
Succum: The hero attack decreases a random stat of the target unit for the duration of the battle. (decrease is % depending on heroe level)
Temptation: When enemy units are able to retaliate, there is an x% chance they do not.
Desire: Enemy units are more prone to melee attack instead of using abilities.
Expert: A random stack of core demons appear in the battlefield 2.5xhero level rounded down for the first turn and 1.5x for each other turn.
Sadistic Touch: An enemy unit is linked with a unit in the hero's army. Whenever the linked unit is dealt damage, the same amount of damage is dealt to the enemy unit as well.
Karmic Havok: Whenever a unit is dealt damage that units luck increases by x%
Master: A random stack of elite demons appear in the battlefield 1.5xhero level rounded down for the first turn and 1x for each other turn.
Mayhem: Each time an enemy stack is killed, all friendly units have their stats increased by x%
Grand Master Ability: All units have 50% chance to cause critical damage each time they attack or retaliate.

I also miss it really much. Definitely one of my most favourite factions. But it seems there is no place for it in official Ashan stories, they're too conservative according to storywriters.
