Bah. Multi class weakened? No way. D&D 3.5 rules allow absurd mutliclassing. 1 level of bard, 5 of warrior, 3 of sorcerer, 10 of thief... riiiiiiiiiiiiight.
NWN2 was badly balanced, btw. (Ok, I know I see bad balance everywhere, but it's a fact ;p). If you have mask of the betrayer, try Fighter/Weapon Master/Frenzied Berserker and use the Falchion that allows doing criticals to spirits. Reeee-diculous! 150+ crits all the time, followed by supreme cleaves.. lol. Completely broken char.

Hmm, maybe, but I'm a too busy these days... We'll see if I have some time and be in the mood to play NWN in the future
Also, are you sure it works to play with you, if I have the expansions installed

I prefer the dual-wielding route. The game isn't even fun with a build like that unfortunately.

I think so. I suppose it works similar like patches: they are compatible "backwards".
And about prestige classes: I'm rather uncertain about this, though after patched it with 1.69 last time, It displayed the prestige classes at class selection screen. They were inactive, but I don't know because having no expansions or because have no met prerequisites with character... I also got some new 0 level spells like flare and acid splash :hmpf: (and the skill "Bluff" -also inactive [played wizard and sorc.])
So I think we could play. And I hope so

Those spells and the skill Bluff are from the expansions, maybe that's why Bluff was disabled?
Oh and I don't know any good modules to play in multiplayer (most of what I know are for singleplayer) - not to mention that most of my modules are for the expansions...
I guess we would have to play the original campaign then

Try Return to Ravenloft. That's a good multiplayer one. Oh yeah, for NWN2 there's a Return to the Tomb of Horrors which is supposed to be pretty decent.

Alright. I have this human-looking character that changes into a lich on death. Portrait changes to match the change. Is there a way to change the sound set, so he sounds like a lich?

I take it it's for NWN 1?
EDIT: Nevermind, don't read what follows, I think I misunderstood your question.
Use the NWN GFF Editor (Google to download it) to open the character's file (.bic extension) in the localvault folder (where you installed NWN)
After you open that file, in the editor scroll down until you find the "SoundSetFile" property. Change whatever value it has into 56 (in the right you can change values)
Then Save and you're done.

Hmm do you need to do it dynamically with scripts?

Actually, it's a NPC that I'm trying to do this for. Not the PC.
Do I need to do this dynamically? No. Not really. Would I like to know anyway? Yes, I would.

Oops sorry I thought he meant that he wants his Playable character to sound like a Lich.
EDIT: I don't think it's possible. Maybe you should create a new creature, a Lich, when the Human dies (and delete the human, of course), so it's like he turns into a Lich, and you'll be able to customize the lich completely with the editor.

That's actually how I had the death going in the first place, but the way I have it now just looks better. Oh well. Like I said, it's not needed. In fact, seeing as how there's not much, aside from casting, in the way of vocals, so I could just set his voice set to the lich in the first place. I just wanted to know if there was something I was missing.

Well, I haven't played too much yet, but until now they look all good.
The adventure map is a very interesting concept that makes you finally use spot, listen, hide, and other "skills" that were kinda useless before. Exploring this map is extremely rewarding, also. So, if you do not have a ranger in your starting group (which consists of four peeps), you will find one as a henchman in the starting town. Be sure to use her for less headaches. Plus, she is melee spec pew pew dual wielding.
But so far I liked the trading system best. Hell, I might just end up spending 99% of my time trading with various cities (plus that at least some trading is mandatory to get into Neverwinter). All in all, so far it looks good. The only minuses I could find are no party interaction (in the terms of over nine thousand pages of dialogue), plus, the usual NWN2 pathfinding glitches.
The new class looks pretty interesting, a combo between duelist, warrior, rogue and the likes. Since my basic approach for a main char when I usually start a new DnD game which I haven't played before is a warrior, it was a good call, especially since he is also keen with diplomacy. Another nice thing is the fact that every line of dialogue can be handled by any party member, so with skills like lore, taunt, intimidate, diplo and the likes, spreaded onto mor chars, you can get some nice liners. This is of course, for those who like tons and tons of dialogue. Like me.
I'll come back with more when I advance further, the problem is I also have to do a WolTK test, and the deadline is ticking, so no time to fully concentrate on this one.
