Could that mean that all town level 15 buildings (for example) need to destroyed to re-build something that was destroyed? So you can't just destroy the level 7 creature dwelling and build a new one
Ah, that makes sense, I agree with you. Wish they'd word the answer better >x<

What's more strange is that somebody asked that question.
Even stranger that the devs took their time to answer this question.

OMG!
Next thing you know, you'll tell me that we'll be able to build things in those towns as well.
And who knows, if the Gods are smiling on us, we might be able to find some treasure chests and lost artifacts as well.

Isn't, like 80% of units humanoid? Even if you're limiting it to just "one head, two eyes, two arms, two legs, and a torso", I can't think of a single faction that doesn't have at least one unit like that.

It's ALWAYS been like that. Heck, excluding stuff like the lamasu and bone dragon, every single Necropolis unit is humanoid because it's effectively an undead humanoid. I just don't see why this is a point of contention.

and that's always something people have complained about, at least since h5
you did make me miss h3 dungeon though. the only "humanoid" there (according to you as trogs don't have eyes) was the minotaur and that had a clear mythological source. good times

Every unit costing the same amount and being equal would ruin the diversity, every faction should rely on different units ( not like h6 where core units were everything you needed)

lol I was just applying broad limitations. As far as I'm personally concerned, humanoid just needs "a head, a torso, and limbs." Heck, stuff like the medusas and harpies roughly qualify as "humanoid" in my book.
Anyhow, this isn't a topic I wish to continue. Just adding a qualifier.

I hope it won't be like 20 Crystals for another dwelling and 20 Mercury for another - in h4 I was forced to buy the one I happened to find resources for. I couldn't make myself skip 2 weeks of growth worth of units...
But there is nothing wrong with having different cost for the unit or even different growth, like Titans could be 2 a week and Arcane Eagle 3 a week. I'd choose Eagles with a spellcaster most likely.

Stevie said: Conceding such a point is unforgivable. You've actually accepted reductio ad absurdum. I can't find common ground with you in this issue.
I never claimed otherwise. I haven't conceded anyhing. I always claimed art is subjective, and as such not good at measuring things objectivley. That's it. Me liking of disliking something like a giant dung has nothing to do with it.
Let me put it this way. What if Necropolis would be taken out as a faction completly. And the game is otherwise great. Would you still dislike it? Would you feel the same about Sylvan? How about Sanctuary? Or Fortress?
EDIT: And if it will satify you: Changing colour of colthing on a Lich is not extreme change. Replacing it with just about anything that does not fit is extreme change. There's no subjectivity here.
And clarly if someone is ok with just whatever change, no matter how out of place or wacky, it means he doesn't care one bit. If, someone on the other hand is quite indiferent about the fact that unit has bandages or not, he just dosen't put much emphasis on it, even if he would not be ok with extreme change.

Ahh, I wasn't precisie enough. What I meant was more beasties, less your standard elves, dwarves, orcs. Even mounted units are fine (I'm looking at you Lynx riders!) as long as there is variety. Maybe it's just me but H7 line-ups so far seems to be the most boring in history (ah yes, tis the People's voice!). Previous games had a good balance, aside from Necro which was always "dead-humans" heavy
And yes, H3 Dungeon was perfect. Talk about throwing in as many mythological-ish units as possible ;P

snow it, i'm going in
lack of a reply is still a reply, just a more cautious one. waiting for new information before really voicing any "real" opinion is probably more like "i don't like this but i think it could get better once more information surfaces" or at least that's what i feel about h7 necro elite tier. could be bad, could be good, it depends on what you do next (and i'd advice ubi to take care right now).
