Nah, I doubt anybody is asking for more at this point. It's "complete edition" so all there is gonna be for the game is few more patches most likely till they pull the plug. Besides we know the sales tanked completely on steam at least, on release day it was about 30th best seller and now it's somewhere around 70th best seller so it's safe to say it flopped completely financially at least. Devs and Ubi didn't believe in the expansion at all based on it getting no attention what-so-ever at gaming sites or even on steam(even indie games and free games got visibility, but not TbF expansion).
Datapack said: That does not justify the price since all the code is pretty much done.
I don't remember but wasn't Shades of darkness like 20€ when it was released?
It was the same 29,99 at ubi store. You could buy it as physical copy from some places at 17,99e or 21,99e being the cheapest as I recall back then. Ubi/Steam are have basically always offered games at higher price on release than what you can find from other places for many years now.

So they actually listened to a suggestion made since before the game was probably announced, at last? That's...good? a bit late, though.

So they have changed flanking & enabled improved random skilling for campaigns but none of these changes are official. Something is terribly wrong here and it is not the H7 game.

I have been barely following what's going on lately, what do you mean these changes are not official?

It's not in patch notes. And there is no way to enable random skill wheel for campaigns in game menus.

So what are the changes to flanking? They enable opportunity retaliations? Moving and choosing the direction you face? Flanking bonus to ranged attacks or spells? Combined strikes when surrounded by multiple units? What exactly did they change...?
Also regarding battles have they finally put limited ammo to the shooters?

It's also almost completely useless because you can't do that when you attack, which is the only time you're really forced to end up looking in a certain direction! One step forward...

it has some uses, even if it only works while moving without attacking (what might be a bug since u can also get the arrow that way but not working)

The logical way to do it and, making it work...
would be to make sure the upgrade to version 2.0 is installed properly then, use the game a few times by playing a few of the squirmish maps & finishing the very first campaign(Haven one I get to presume).
Then, purchase the T.b.F. expansion and install it as a different game altogether. Within the Uplay main folder(wherever that may be). And, now, try to use the game client of Uplay to get the recognition that the add-on expansion is, in fact, installed on your PC. If yes, close the game client to your task bar of Windows and launch Heroes VII from your Windows desktop windows` games` Icon.
I saw somewhere, in the game, a button called Add-On. You might have to use this merger function button to merge both games as one only game.
Once the merger has been done, do not bother playing anything, just yet. Close the game by using its Quit function button. Clean your PC`s memory and, then, Relaunch the game by using the same Icon for the original game(If another Icon is installed on your Desktop window for the Stand-Alone use of the T.b.F. expansion, just ignore it, for now).
It should work now, otherwise, only the Stand-Alone Expansion`s new launcher Icon might be working as of now. Good Luck.

It works as intended. You can't switch unit's orientation after attack. The whole point of this flanking system is to force units to turn to the direction you want them to. You attack opponent's unit from behind, he turn his face to you for retaliation, and he opens his back for another flank attack for other unit.

Correction: the flanking system has no point, because there are no elements that make it difficult for you to disengage when you are "engaged".
Example: in turn x Unit A engages unit B; B retaliates: A and B are obviously engaged. In turn x+1 B can now disengage from A and move around A, flanking it, which prompts A to turn around, face B and retaliate (being paralyzed before that and watching mesmerized how B disengaged and moved around to flank).
That is SILLY. It's half-assed and somewhat lazy, as in, "yeah, flanking, now, that sounds good, let's put it into the game." "Yeah, but in that case you need something like opportunity hits for disengaging, you need be able to plot your movement, because in that case you cannot simply move past disengaged units, and.." "Wait, that's way too much effort and work to do for such a simple thing; let's just settle for a bonus damage for attacks from behind, that wil make battles more interesting and tactical."
Yeah, right.

Yeah, right.
Its actually a really smart application to a traditional heroes approach.
Your mistake is in taking your example as if the only creatures present on a battlefield are A and B. But in a real game, what happens is you endanger your own creature by taking an opportunity to flank attack another creature. So, what is better - to attack an enemy stack head on, or to fly and attack from behind, and then watch your stack getting destroyed by the whole enemy force.
This is exactly the reason why there are also half flanking attacks, to give players more tactical approach.

Is it? Being able to change direction at any moment is a big deal in martial arts.
