Thank you for keeping up the work!
I'm quite glad it looks out of place because I think the cutscenes are where HoMM3 shows its age in the worst way.

I wonder if it would be possible to replace the old cut-scenes with new, more detailed ones.

That was what Heroes III HD was supposed to do. Ofc in a universe in which Ubisoft actually cared...

Assuming an acceptance of AI upscaling and a competent handling, it would almost certainly be possible for fans to spiff up the cinematics (after all, it's been done by fans to full-motion video in games to successful result). Of course, that wouldn't add any new details.

(Without actually having played the HD edition, just judging from screenshots) I can say that inn general I really like what they did w.r.t. graphics assets.
There are some spots though where the HDfication was done quite slouchy. The Rampart town screen for instance is troubled with major glitches/blurry items.
It is the RoE-base and the Steam obligation which make the HD remake a no-no.

@everyone
You're lucky you never actually played the HD Scam/Cashgrab Edition. It's actually so much worse than the screenshots show it to be, graphically speaking (as if changing the visual style wasn't enough to begin with). Someone should make the spasmatic Magi from there a meme or smt, he's animated worse than many frankensteined H3 creatures, poor guy.

Hi all!
In order to keep you entertain i thought i'd share you some past work from Romero that i found while investigating after the announcement of his contribution to the work of HotA.
Here is the link to the video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iPvLDfu4Irs
I really enjoyed it myself and i thought i'd share!
12:42 (Homm2 sorceress castle) and 57:13 (Homm4 floating across water) really are two great passage i really liked. I knew about Homm2 but the Homm4 soundtrack is a discovery!
But the absolute best track is at 1:06:39 for the Homm3 tower theme. Absolutely wonderful, even better than the in game version!
I hope you enjoy these as much as i do.

I highly doubt that. AfaIk, you can get H3 and presumably HotA running on android devices using exagear.

@ HotA team:
initially, i wasn't a fan of your fence. i didn't particularly care for the diagonal sections not being straight like the other fence i used. but once i added them and tried them, i found they worked just fine, and actually helped to make the area i needed it for, more organic than the old fence:
thanks, and nice work. now, to convert the old fence overgrowth.

Hey All,
I have found an interesting Update on the state of development of the Factory. They explain why the development takes so long, the influence of Docent Picolan right up to his Exit and eliminate some rumors about the project.
The Link is:
https://forum.df2.ru/index.php?s=&showtopic=28905&view=findpost&p=771493
One Question: Does anyone know if they will be present on the streamfest this year?
@HotA Team: Keep the good work up, you are doing an amazing job!

Ugh, why do they insist on making a lot of scenarios, campaigns and cutscenes that apparently takes forever to make.
Just finish the city, then release the other stuff later, for those that are interested in that.
It has already been 3 years or more.

Did you even read the post?
It clearly states that while they have managed to make great progress in multiple areas, there are parts that simply are not done, not just campaigns and scenarios. If those were the only things that weren't done, I'm sure they have just pushed it out long time ago. Note that not everyone in the project can do everything - it makes no sense to to tell a map maker or translator to go "help" with coding.
The fact that creatures are already been done is great news, and the fact that Docent managed to finish the last creature only hours before his death gives me goosebumps.

Yeah the siege screen and external dwellings and maybe a few heroes are are not done, but other than that it seemed like scenarios, campaigns and cutscenes are taking most of their time.
All Factory creatures are apparently done, but we still don't know anything about their level 4 units or war machine.
We still don't know how the supposed repair mechanic is going to work either.

Hey, I'm eager for the campaign kek. And really, just releasing the town without campaign would kill all the hype that would have been around the campaign.

Well I am probably not going to play the new campaigns and scenarios.
You can pick up a lot of atmosphere from the town screen, music, the Wasteland, the creatures and the heroes pictures and biographies any way.
I am more interested in the new faction in itself, than new campaigns and scenarios, besides I prefer to make my own maps and rules.
But good for the people that are actually going to play the new campaigns and scenarios I guess. I hope the wait was worth it.

Of course, we are not spoiled children. The HotA campaign is very good. You should try it out. It's especially fun on Impossible - albeit very tough.
