Meh, what I expected but still a little disconcerting.
Still, it'll be interesting to see Jon Stewart and Colbert forced to make fun of the Democrats for a change.

Lets see how it turns out.
Obama was the better man for the job.
In politics, you cant always keep your word.
I wait to see how our new president will overcome the obstacles left from our former president.
Dont it always seem like womanizers like Harding & Clinton always get criticsize by what they did with women
Harding was a good president when it came to doing the job.
So was Clinton Thats what happens when you hire buttholes into your cabinet.
Like Harding, Grant etc. They do things right behind you back. Harding knew about the oil incident or not. Got to be careful who you hire.
Maybe Obama can show the women a good time
Maybe we can be debt free & have keep his word about foreign affairs
Good luck Obama.

I was wondering if you'd change that.
Now we get to watch the two parties pretend to be friends again and ordinary Americans can revert back to their politcally-ignorant selves.

I breath a sigh of relief and gratitude tonight. Thank you America for doing (what I believe is) the right thing. At the risk of sounding like I've had the kool-aid cocktail, I'd like to say: For the first time since my daughter was born, I feel like we can make the sorts of changes she will need to see a better future.
Here's my cup and my strength. Whatever comes over the next four years, I offer unreservedly to forward the causes of peace and reason.

Yes, thanks for small favors. Obama made it, so we can at least hope for a better world, can we now? Congress is more Democrat as well, so they have all the power they need to bring the wind of change. We'll see what will happen. We'll see whether this wind will be a draught or a fresh breeze.
I expect something like an immediate ceasefire in Iraq, if and when Obama declares that the US will retreat.

er... kool-aid, as in the kool-aid cocktail with the special drugs in it that make you all wacky...
Though it's actually a reference to the Jim Jones cult who killed themselves thinking the aliens were calling them to the beyond, but only if they gave up their physical forms by drinking cyanide laced kool-aid. There's a "Family Guy" episode, in which Meg is taken in by a strange cult... that might help.
I don't know when the 'Kool-Aid' reference first came onto the scene. If it was a republican reference, it was likely a demeaning comment on the fervor with which O's supporters were resistant to external logic (or as a slight against the massive pro-Obama rallies). If it was a democratic reference, it was likely a self-depricating comment on the amount of fervor Barack engendered in themselves. Whichever is the case, I don't think I've had any.

Quote: Of course they are in it to make money.
Every profession aims to make money.
However Mytical implied that they will mistreat/not cure/not treat to the best of their ability in order to make a patient come back so that they get more money.
This is completely absurd, and a completely illogical method to earn more money.
The pharmacy industry is independent of doctors, and is irrelevant to the discussion. Besides, Joker, cold treatment isn't prescription medicine. Anyone can buy it.
1) That's not what Matical implied. What she said was that doctors do not have an interest in CURING their patients, they have an interest in TREATING them.
2) The pharnacy is NOT independent of doctors and claiming that they are is indeed absurd. Besides, TA, what you call cold treatment - the one that don't need prescription -, those don't do much. They are products of the industry too harmless to be of any more use than inhaling camomile vapors over a bowl of hot water. We talk about the "good" stuff here, for example the stuff with codeine in it. Last time I checked you couldn't buy that freely.
