The rules are quite decent and acceptable, but I object to closing I Gave Up on Believing in God. Maybe it'd be better to make that the official religion thread, and rename it?

But it's a classic! Can't close a classic. You might as well close Attack Iraq.
There's no pressing need to clean it. Just make sure that the continuing conversation is clean.

Attack Iraq is dead, and has been dead for like ages. That's why it hasn't been closed. Should someone revive it, I'm sure it would be locked down fast.
OSM is not what it used to be - a quote battlefield with insults flying everywhere. And that's good.
The last reminiscent has been closed.

Because it is a classic, we do not DELETE it...although most of the thread would deserve it.
We keep it, so everybody still can read it. But there is no sense in keeping it alive. Everything was said...a hundred times...from all sides.

Well I waited for somebody else in the community to spearhead the LGBT thread (which was amazing), but decided to bring it back. Now, although I am going to probably hear it from some of the other Moderators..I asked them about this and got no replies so here goes.
What happened to the other LGBT thread? I know a lot of you will not believe this, but .. it was a glitch. According to Val approximately 3.2% of threads somehow were missed by the protection he put in place to stop people from deleting threads. One of them was LGBT. Val has since closed that loophole (we just didn't want people to keep trying to find such a loophole), and it should never be possible again. No Moderator deleted, or helped delete the LGBT thread. Since it was one of the few that the glitch affected, Father was able to delete it all by himself. Which is unfortunate, because it was an amazing thread and a lot of people beared their heart and soul in it.

Want to clarify. I asked the other Moderators if we could release the info, nothing was said either way. I think they were wanting to wait for Val. So I probably jumped the gun, and it is entirely on me.
