If you count the posts made in 1 week here on HC, and then count the active Mods on the other hand, you will clearly realize how difficult it currently is to "be on time" with Mod actions (no matter if +qp or -qp!)

It wouldn't surprise me if there were high demand for the moderator position. So if it's too difficult for you to do your work, you might offer to share it with another.

One of the Mods here (namely me) has been rather lax lately. Mostly from frustration, but also health and other issues. See here is the problem with the Moderating position.
1) Need people who are interested. This is the main issue, because of the issues that follow.
2) Need people who can maintain neutrality as much as possible. They can post their oppinion all they want..but they have to be able to penalise people who agree with them sometimes, and give bonuses to people who disagree with them sometimes.
3) Need active people. The above 2 mean nothing if they can not be here. However, a real life is understood 
4) Need Mature people. Some are really good posters, but they need a little more maturity before being considered.
5) No power hungry people.
6) Patience. You have to have the patience of a saint with some of the HCM's you will get as a Moderator.
7) Do what is best for the board, not is best for you or your friends.
8) People who can put up with others questioning everything they do. Sneeze? They want to know who, what, when, where, how, and why.
I will add 'Ad nausium' because even after you 'explain it' they will continue to question it until you want to ram your head against the nearest wall until you pass out.
9). In otherwords, somebody not like me. (For 6-8)

If there would be serious applicants, no problem. But I doubt a member could handle the OSM the right way if he spends 90% of his time in the Wastelands...

But in all seriousness angelito... I believe you're being a bit of a hypocrite, no offense. What you do with Elodin in the Religious threads (or most people who'd take the side of believing in a higher power) is atleast on par with william calling someone an idiot. Of course you don't spell it out "You're an idiot X" but both your methaphors or comparrisons or "blablabla " oneliners are on the same levels to say the least... but I guess that's what that CoC loophole is for? You can't call someone an idiot but you can say "I find what you believe very very ridiculous and I don't see how any logicaly thinking human being can in good conciousness believe such nonsense."?? Talk about being condesending.
