hey...i'm a new member of your community and have been playing for a month now.
For me the best faction is Dungeon because i like powerfull spell damage dealers and fast games where u can quickly surprise your opponents
...and warlock is all that...

@Sargeras
I could go with Dungeon, but Academy is my favorite. U say dungeon can make fine surprises, but the true is that the master of surprises are Academy. For me every skill is useful with Academy. Every faction has a one skill or more that just can't be used succesufuly(for example light for dungeon, leadership for necro). Academy can put every skill into use. They can use every type of magic they want and combine magic as they want. Summoning\Dark(Buffed phoenix, PM, Frenzy and other nasty things), Dark\Destructive(some mass spells, some disruption in the enemy ranks and MotW + blasting, Oh yeah!), Light\Dark(mass light + mass dark or Frenzy\PM + Divine Vengeance) are the most likely combos, and I don't see even if u now this how u'll know which path will the Academy player take. And don't think u can use magic vs Academy Magic mirror, mini-arties and more... Vs dungeon the Academy player will simply use magnetic golems so no blasting I remember one such game. The enemy player rushed me, but I had seven tiny stacks 3-4 golems each and I had Armageddon and phoenix cape. Before my opponent get whats going on I blasted him with armageddon (reminds me of good old HoF when I loved to make my golems 100 magic proof with Razzak ). While very good rushing Academy is also very stable in late game. There are much options u can try(u can even try using some strange tactic) and the enemy will never know what to expect from u. Academy's first tiers(1,2,3) aren't so great(but still has it's uses). The other's are just cooler(Btw has enyone tried teleport assault + alt. upgrade Rakshas and luck ?), but still a bit weaker than the other(which can be fixed through mini-arties). A bit of revenge I got vs Dougal yesterday. I took evasion, fog veil and I had Stormies Another thing I love is to send the alt. upgrade gargoyles into the enemy ranks and then to cast some lucky destructive spells They're my favorite faction

BTW, something that's really pissing me off, people that say how powerful those golems are vs dungeon. Maybe this will come as a big surprise to you all. Fireball wont kill golems, ignite will... so stop talking crap

maybe u're right Drunk_Lord, match up against academy player is the worst for me i agree but against academy player u must rush, no other way. IMO warlock is the true destructive spell wielder and against academy it must be over before he gets strong mini arties, magic mirror, motw + resurrection and so on. Nevertheless i think that warlocks have their chances against wizards...

Speaking about warlocks, powerful spellcasters, there's something that can match their magic: divine veangence. Unless you have the skill that prevents enemy spellcasting or other known strategy, if you fight an opponent with expert light magic, lots of spell power and this spell, give up then. I've fought 29 storm titans, 32 magma dragons, 10 lava dragons, 46 thunder thanes, 72 rakasha raja with my 18 archangels, 14 palandins, 189 crossbowmen, 54 zealots, 169 inquisitors and 243 brutes. My hero was level 21 and the opponent's was 19. Guess what? I won. With powerless artifacts and statistics only a little higher than the enemies', divine veagence was my last hope. Last and strongest. (it's kind of unfair, may I say)
Oh, really, this battle did happen. (AND OF COURSE, I WAS PLAYNG AGAINST AI, I COULDN'T WIN IF IT WAS A REAL ONE)

That's a bug!
I hate exploiting bugs so I always assume the golems ARE totally anti-warlock stuff.

Not many players will put all magnetic golems in their line up. Especially against Dungeon. Furies would rip them to shreds, not to mention the other creatures. Sure, a wizard could armeggeddon without worry, but then again since the dungeon doesn't have to worry about destruction spells, he can do other things as well. Like haste those furies (you don't have to have any skill in light to have learned haste) or such (depending on skills he has/spell schools, ect). No, it is complete suicide to take only magnetic golems into a fight against dungeon.

The point is not to get only magnetics. It's just those that will survive if you keep armageddoning. Ignite affecting them is a shame, hope it gets fixed.

u can still use mini-artifacted normal upg. golems(75% magic proof without mini arties ) and make them nearly 100% magic proof.

Aren't magnetics "immune" to everything EXCEPT armageddon? or was i fooled by another wrong game description?

They are immune to all spells, even buffs. Armageddon heals them.
