Well, I think its ingenious. Its actually our fault if they reveal something completely insignificant, since we voted on it.

If we had been cooperating, then we would have taken, in this order:
Ability 3
Mana
Name
Art
Loyalty
Ability 1
Ability 2
Type line
rarity
artist
Because certain of them negate the need for others. If you have art, type line, ability 1/2/3, or loyalty, you know he's a planeswalker. So why take all four? Take the important one (ability 3) and leave the rest for later.
The problem is, we disagreed on which one we should use to reveal his planeswalker-ness, so we ended up voting for all of them. Because we weren't cooperating, we wasted precious time. Darn you democracy!

He costs 6 mana. The last ability is by no means the most important one.

Remember, we didn't know what the vote concerned. Was it a partial preview, a ymtc or something else. All we had to go by was "you decide".
I was quite disappointed to see the typeline today.

Good point ecoris, I keep on overlooking that. If its in the higher CMC's, then yeah, the first and second abilities are far more important than the third. Like Bolas, his first and second abilities had to be equal to his higher cost, and I think they hit it right on. Hopefully Markov will be able to give the Vamp Mechanic to creatures (Graveyard=+1+1 counters)

And sorin did indeed get bola's previous ultimate... Which is delightfully cruel and totally vicious.
Edit: its like facebook now and Argh. so many new features but so many lost.

Yes, Markov is very evil, a nasty little opponent controller. I like the Magister's ability on him, and the turn steal is just deadly if used in the right situation. Like burning his own creatures or misfiring a deadly card. It is also said that Sorin is not from Zendikar, so his story should be explored. Chandra has been a little less so iterated, she was a slow-cooker on another sight, alongside some goblins and another couple cards.
Some points I discovered:
- Vampire's are native to Zendikar, so Vampire Tribal will now be available, a very potent tribe.
- Elves and gobs are on Zendikar, but they have different personalities than the traditional species.
- One week until spoiler season begins!

In Zendikar draft, Sorin won't be as exciting as other planeswalkers have been. Sprinting for the win takes an agonizing 6 turns, which makes him one of the slowest of the planeswalkers. Even Jace is quicker. Instead, he will most likely be used as a card-advantage engine, picking off opposing 2/2s and hijacking kill spells. He is still good if you can play him, but his intense cost means that he will not be picked first in the second or third pack unless you have the good fortune to already be deep in black. He is very comparable to Lilliana, who was also incapable of quick kills, generated unreasonable card advantage, and was prohibitively costed.

I lost the cookie jar in my signature there
Anyway, so far the mechanical theme of Zendikar seems to be what I've been waiting to see ever since I properly understood the game. It may very well be my favourite block ever.

While we're on the topic of money deprivity, who will buy a Planchase deck tomorrow when it goes on the market? I intend to get the Zombie Empire deck, and maybe the Artifact deck...hmmm. Too bad they didn't make Esper into a Plane. I hope they keep planes in the blocks to come, so Planechase isn't completely singular.

Well, I'm not going to buy in the coming days, but if someone I know is going to, then so will I. I think I know someone who'd like the Zombie Empire deck. I guess I'd take Strike Force.
