Successfully bottling everything back up, Mark shook his head and pulled out his phone. "So... anyway, The Plan and stuff. Um... do you want to call him, or...?" The trainer asked, handing Mina some of the ice lapras had created before to keep everyone cool on this bloody warm day. At least it was mostly a dry heat, so breathing wasn't too much of an issue...

"I can try although I don't know how well I could impersonate a guy's voice," Mina responded after some consideration, taking the ice. She broke off a chunk and made to hand it to Lyra, who had been lying on the ground silently for a while. When the other didn't move to take it Mina prodded verbally:
"Lyra?" Lacking free hands she nudged the other girl with her toe; the only response was a confused mumbling. Mina had the brief impulse to take a page out of Mark's book and stuff the ice up her shirt and see if that provoked a response, but something seemed off...
((As always the symptoms for heatstroke are taken from wikipedia.))

"... Oh. Right. He might recognize me if I called... and stuff... So, I'll call him. Get a meeting place and time set up..." Saying that, he looked at Lyra with a little concern as well and said, "We should probably get her to the nurse's office, she doesn't look like she's doing too good..." And actually, putting that ice in her shirt might be a good idea.

"I'll try it if you want; I've got a few hours to practice. I'm just warning you it might not work." Wishing she had a little more medical knowledge than she had, Mina checked Lyra's temperature, then her pulse. Then pressed the ice to the other girl's head; it might not help, but on a day like this, Mina doubted it would hurt. "And it's hard to tell in this heat, but I think she's warmer than she should be. You probably aren't helping," Mina added the last to the little candle Pokemon still clutched in Lyra's hand. She searched for a moment one handed until she found the Fire type's ball and called it back. "And yeah, I think we should do that. Umm..."
Mina surveyed the area around them. We've only got two good arms between us. The spot they'd picked for its privacy was, shockingly, free of people she could press-gang into helping out. "Doesn't your Kirlia have Confusion?"

"Well yes but... I don't see how confusion really helps... Oh wait, but she does have teleport!" Mark said triumphantly, and the little psychic type took a bow at that, teleporting four feet to the left to show off a bit. "We could all just go straight to the pokemon center without any hassle... good idea Mina!" Mark said cheerfully, gensturing for Kirlia to return to his side before walking over to stand beside Lyra. "Let's get her somewhere cool..."

Mina looked a lot more worried than the pronouncement warranted. In a voice that was barely more than a mumble she murmured. "Yeah, I guess if Kerry was going to come marching into town after us he'd have done it during the attack." Adjusting her sitting position she said more normally. "All right, go for it then."
Mark's Kirlia was completely ignoring her in any case; Mina watched as the pale Psychic type imperiously took Mark's hand with one of hers, then touched the other to Lyra's body. Then there was a brief flash—
—and they vanished. Mina remained in the pounding heat, staring at the flattened bit of ground where Lyra had been. As there was no one to see anyway, she scowled at the empty air around her.
"Really?"

Mark:
You appear in the icy embrace of the Pokemon Center's air conditioner, Lyra on the floor beside you. Mina is nowhere to be seen, and the bit of ice she'd been holding to the other girl's forehead hits the tile floor with a wet 'tok!'
"Hello, can I help—oh my!" Nurse Joy hurries around the desk to kneel at Lyra's side, checking the girl's wrist for a pulse. "What happened?"

Mark looked up and around as the scenery suddenly shifted, still not really used to the experience (he didn't really do it much on his own, after all), so when nurse Joy came up to him, Mark was a bit thrown off and mumbled, "Hot day outside... wait, where's Mina?" Kirlia looked up at him cutely and tilted her head. "... Okay, so only two people at once, so I'd better go get her... er, could I go get my friend quick?" He asked the nurse, putting the ice back on top of Lyra's head, "Mina, Lyra and I were talking and... well... I don't think Lyra wanted to interrupt me or Mina and that the weather might have gotten to her. I meant to teleport all three of us here, but it seems two is the limit for now..."

Mark:
The nurse accepts your explanation with a wave, only half-paying attention. "Yes, this looks like heatstroke. Go on, make sure she doesn't get herself into trouble again." The Nurse then busies herself with directing some of the Center's Chansey to bring a stretcher and Lyra is carted away into the back.

"Hmm. Well, thank you. We'll probably check at least one of them out. See you later, maybe."
Jack leaves, and reclaims his pokemon upon exit. He looks to the mentioned buildings, but decides it might be better to first see if his pokedex would need some updating, and heads to the pokemon center to get it so.

You retrieve your other Pokemon without incident and make your way to the Pokemon Center. Once there, you tell the Nurse what you want, after which she explains that it's usually the Town Elders who handle Pokedex upgrades, but that she'll see what she can dig up.

You head over through the midafternoon heat to the Contest Hall. It's pleasantly cool inside, and after a little asking around you're directed to a large room with a stage taking up the back wall.
On the stage proper is obviously your quarry; a woman in blue Elder's robes, training four dog-like Pokemon: while one is obviously another Pompuff, the other three are much larger—one is primarily green, with plates like armor over its body, another has a tail of ribbons and explosions of fur in places, and the fourth has a crest of fur on its head like a crown. The four are hopping through maneuvers—complicated little dances involving a couple bouncing balls, back flips, the ribbon-tailed dog creates a hoop of fire for the others to jump through—but seem to finish the show as you approach. The woman strides up to the Pompuff—the latter looking slightly mussed and singed, though none of the other Pokemon do—and frowns down at it, looking stern. About then she seems to notice you, as she takes her eyes off the puppy to meet yours.
"Yes? What did you need?" Elder Rashel appears to be an older woman whose wrinkles and gray hairs do nothing to disguise the fact that she was probably a great beauty in her day; her blue robes are fancifully embroidered, and around her throat she wears a gold medallion polished to a high sheen. Her voice, similarly, is that of someone who is on display, knows it, and is perfectly comfortable with the fact. Not quite snobbish, but not far off either.

With a thankful nod, Mark gave the orders to teleport back to Mina and waved once he re-materialized next to her. "Heya! Sorry about disappearing on you like that... I don't know why Kirlia didn't bring you along..." He chuckled nervously, pulling out his phone. "So... uh... let's go under a tree and call then...?" He suggested.

Mark and Mina:
Mark and his Pokemon reappear outside of town, to find that Mina is already a stone's throw away, walking in the direction of town. She backtracks once her attention is grabbed.
"Heya! Sorry about disappearing on you like that... I don't know why Kirlia didn't bring you along..."
"Don't worry about it," Mina assures, "Natu had a problem moving lots of people a while back too. Maybe it's a Teleport thing?"
"So... uh... let's go under a tree and call then...?"
Mina opens her mouth and then seems to reconsider what she was going to say before finally speaking. "If you don't mind, I'd like to do some quick research before we do. Anyway are you making the call, or am I?"

"Other Pokemon that have been stolen recently." Mina vaguely recalled mentioning this already, but with Lyra passing out on them she couldn't really blame Mark for not remembering. "I'm hoping it'll help us recognize what we see, if our target has them on them. Oh, and I'd like to get the Ranger's number, for obvious reasons."

"Well, I'm new to Helnith, and I was wondering if I could get my pokedex updated for the area. I saw one of those pokemon earlier. Thought about using my pokedex to identify it, but then decided not to, since I wasn't sure it could. Plus I was busy."

The Elder gives you a wry smile. "I could have swore I left that silly machine running." She pulls a device out of her robes, pushes a few buttons, and then:
