"Have any of you had any experience with training pokemon at high levels? I'm nervous that without any gym emblems, I won't have much control over the Archeokat."
Mina shook her head no. “Never trained any Pokemon but Pidgey before I came here, sorry. Maybe you could try getting him something he can’t get on his own?” In a distant, foggy sort of way Mina felt sorry for Zack. He was now in possession of a Pokemon more powerful than all the rest of his team combined that had no reason at all to respect him. And heaven help the kid if that Rock type got Shadowed! “The only other thing I can think of would be to get more experience yourself.”
"We shouldn't in any near future be close to keida should we? I've been told there are pokemon breeders there, and I think it could really make our group a lot stronger if some of our stronger pokemons were breed, so we had one each. How would you guys feel about going there and doing this?"
“We already told you we’d help you get to a breeder after this Zack,” Mina revived enough to remind him. His eagerness would have been amusing if she wasn’t feeling so drained…

Zelgius, Sarah, and a couple of other trainers who opted to follow Zelgius rather than try and pry Nurse Joy out of the back make their way to the former’s ambush site.
"now where is this place you had in mind?"
No sooner does Sarah ask then they come upon the place: here tumbled stone and shelves of rock line the road to either side, and the ground is covered in scree from previous rockfalls that washed out of the mountains at some point. It isn’t as high as some of the places further in, but there are plenty of hiding places above human eye-level, and the moderate slope makes climbing possible if the climber’s in decent shape. A good ambush site for a small group to lie in wait.

"Ha! So you've got some spunk and spirit to you, don't you g-, well I guess I can't call you that now, can I? Tell me your name when we get the time to talk." Zelgius picked up the pace. "The place I was talking about is only over this next hill. Rather easy jog, I might add."
The "hill" he gestured to was actually a rather steep mountain slope that overlooked the ravine. "And remember, I don't want to kill any of them, just give these punks a warning. Hypnotize them after they stop the rocks from crushing the trainers." His smile became just a little larger. "Then we will see how long they last under the powers of water, darkness and ice, won't we? How long do you think the Geodudes will last under that? And then all we have to worry about are those weak little Rattatas and Zubats, who's wings will be cut by my Snorunt's blizzards."
Seeing that Sarah was keeping up but not the other two trainers, he yelled down, "Hey, try to keep up, will you? I want to get there before nightfall!"

Misty nods. "A breeder would be nice, I'd love to have Evan bred, but I have a lot to do if we find a safe place for awhile. If you all have to go on without me, I will understand. Phoebe has to be evolved, Evan bred, and I would like at least ONE gym badge."

((It's so hard to know how much initiative I can take while "bringing the story forward"  ))
"Well if you should call me something call me Sarah because that's my name, and until you tell me yours I'm gonna call you Roy."
Sarah said with sarcasm in her voice.
Excited upon seeing the place, Sarah took the lead by starting to climb the mountain slope. She scampered with joy as if she would have been 10 years younger and had to be careful not to fall.
When she reached the place she started looking for the perfect spot to hide, and in the distance she could see the Bandra people approach.
"I wonder if they really are Bandra, but I don't think we can risk asking them first however" she thought with a bit of uncertainty.

Zelgius:
One trainer rolls their eyes; the other grumbles something about going back to the Pokemon Center if this keeps up and leaving the loudmouth to get crushed.

Zelgius and Sarah
You hear them before you see them, the mountains heralding their approach with the echo of voice and footstep. You and your temporary cohorts scramble into place as quickly and quietly as possible, managing to make your ambush point before they come into view.
The force that finally comes into sight below you is larger than expected: about thirty people all told. Most of them are on foot but a few are riding Pokemon, and a few more Pokemon are dragging largish, indistinct pieces of debris behind them. The angle is a little awkward but you can tell they’re not carrying much else with them.
They also appear to have had a rough time already: several are noticeably injured and they one and all appear dirty, dusty, and tired. They also don’t seem to notice you or your fellow ambushers at all.

"Ha! Roy? I had a brother named Roy, and until you got to our eyes, you couldn't tell us apart. No, Sarah. My name is Zelgius." He glared down at the moving group. "And I think that you might be right."
Zelgius waited until the large group was a few hundred meters away, and he whispered to Sarah (the closest person to him), "Those aren't Bandra, unless they've upgraded themselves to different pokemon and a uniform change, these people are like us." He stood up and started working his way down the mountain side. "You coming?" He yelled to Sarah.
To the other two trainers, he yelled, "Stay here, and if any other group comes this way, yell down to us, alright?" Not waiting for an answer, Zelgius continued climbing down the near-vertical slope.

"Well of course I'm coming, why else did I climb all this way up if not to go down again?"
Sarah sighed at Zelguis inability to wait, but in any case she began climbing down after him.
She wasn't sure why she trusted him, Sure these people didn't look like Bandra. However Sarah hadn't seen many of those in her life so she couldn't really tell. That's why she followed Zelgius even if it might have been safer to remain behind the hidden rocks.
"On the other hand that this group of weak and injured people should turn out to be Bandra seemed pretty laughable" was her last thought before she started thinking about blueberry ice-cream instead.

Main group:
The assembled forces begin the slow trip out of the mountains. One of the Starlight Squad is assuring you that the Pokemon Center is close now when the mountain ambience is broken by human voices up ahead.

Zelgius and Sarah:
There is relative silence as Zelgius descends the slope: the approaching force has halted, and their footsteps no longer echo down the path. Instead you hear some quick conversation, muffled by distance and reduced by echo into unintelligibility.

To keep herself awake along the path, Stacey takes out the bound book, and tries to free it as they walk. Mona keeps up in spurts as they move. Eventually, Stacey notices and lets her ride the shoulder. Also, the thought of having a pokemon with such a high level clouded her thoughts. It wasn't as high, but still could be trouble.

Having "sneaked" out a backside door((or a window)), Christian started to make his way up the road directly heading for the incoming "Brandra force" while walking up Christian prepared his office badge/uniform/whatever to show that he was a "Brandra" should it be needed. However, while walking up the thoughts of "vengance" and "screw the mission, they attacked my friends" kept showing up in his brain.
As such Christian arrived at the scene almost at the same time as Zelgius and Sarah did.

Your attempts to free the book from its bindings remain futile, however, you notice something you didn’t before: one of the many symbols carved into the cover looks familiar…it looks…it looks exactly like the symbol in the pool in the Shrine—and the one on Draloed’s Mark of Light.

You slip out of the Pokemon Center in the confusion and arrive at the scene undetected, in time to see Sarah and Zelgius come back down from their ambush spot. You can hear other voices ((not theirs)) echoing from further up the road, presumably from the approaching force.

Main Group:
Elder Elren signals a stop from his makeshift stretcher at the sound of voices.
“Is it Bandra?” he addresses the SLS member assigned to the radio.
Said individual looks puzzled and worried. “I don’t think so…”
“Give me that,” Dien orders irritably. The other Starlight Squad member hands it over without a fuss and Dien takes over.
“It might be some of our people,” Lijan suggests. He still looks to be a bit of a mess from his earlier clunk on the head, but he’s lucid now.
“Maybe,” Sesh disagrees. He adds darkly: “But there are other unsculpterous types in this region besides Bandra. They may even BE Bandra and just be maintaining radio silence.”
“Is there any way around?” the Elder asks.
“Not without backtracking.”
Elren looks very grave. Two of the more seriously wounded have gotten worse over the intervening travel time, and the man suffering from poison has lost consciousness. His lieutenants read the expression effortlessly.
“Then we’ll have to deal with this the hard way,” Sesh responds. “Brona! Take your friends and go investigate.” He turns away then, and along with Elren and Lijan starts ordering the rest of the Starlight Squad to get ready to make a hasty retreat, while Dien monitors the radiowaves.

Brona readies his pokeball incase of an encouter with unfriendlies, and motioned for the others to follow him. He started ahead, slowly and watching his step, being careful not to call attention.

Mina also followed Brona’s lead, mentally cursing her luck that Pidgey was out cold —his keen eyes would be useful right now—and promising mayhem to whoever was causing this new roadblock.

Seeing Brona motion for him to tag along Draloed obliges. He walks backwards first though and stealthily lets Zucruu out. "Keep a close eye and try to figure out who is up ahead. But try to stay out of their sight." Then he started to creep forward like Mina and Zack were.

Zelgius stood at the base of the mountain side, letting out a sigh as he looked up. "A good climb always helps to settle the nerves."
Looking up a Sarah again, who wasn't yet at the base of the mountain, he called out, "I'm going to go to that large rock out there, ok? I'll wait for you there!"
Walking over to the flat boulder, Zelgius stood in the last few hours of the mountain climate. It would get rather cold rather fast, and he hoped that these people would be able to move quickly along the fastest rout he knew.
Zelgius found a spot in the center of the sun-warmed boulder and took his seat there, crossing his legs and almost seeming to meditate. His Scyther de-attached itself from one of the boulder peaks nearby, curling up at his side. His Aaron and Snorunt joined him as well.
((Zelgius does not force his pokemon to live in poke balls, he only uses the things until he knows that he can trust them not to run away from him))

When Sarah reached the base of the mountian side she saw Zelgius sitting not far from there. She approached him and said
"There is no need to wait for me, I'm not that slow"
She said with a smile and added
"and I have no problems with you leading the way, as long as you are sure these are not Bandra folks"
"now should we go and find out what kind people that we're dealing with is?"
While waiting for an answer, Sarah felt a cold breeze sweeping over her.
"Why didn't I bring a jacket?" she asked herself while freezing.

Main Group:
The group slips out along the road, keeping to the shadows. Whoever it is is making no attempt to stay quiet, but after a few moments there’s a different tone of cry up ahead and Zucruu comes flapping back to Draloed in a burst of speed, chittering in Pokespeak and sounding distressed.
Brona is able to quickly peer around a tumble of boulders and catch sight of the source: he counts two (possibly three) human figures along the edge of the road, and as many Pokemon already out. From what he can make out, they appear to be in no hurry to go anywhere, and don’t seem to notice they’re being watched—how long that will last is anyone’s guess.

Sarah and Zelgius (and Christian nearby):
You hear a startled cry from your lookouts: a Golbat is swooping by overhead. Startled by the noise, it pours on speed and flies off up the road.

Zelgius looked at the Goldbat for a second. Odd how it flew in a straight line. He though silently.
He looked at Sarah shivering for a second, and then took off his winter jacket. "Here, g-, Sarah. I'm used to this weather. You don't seem to be." He held it out to her. "Take it. Also, I don't think that we need to move right now, as I KNOW YOU ARE OUT THERE! YOU MAKE ENOUGH NOISE TO WAKE A SLEEPING SNORLAX!" He yelled to the people watching them.
"Let's see what our friends decide to do with that, eh?" ((No, he is not Canadian))
