Mark cautiously approaches whatever this thing is, Skarmory and Lapras's pokeballs in hand just in case it is something dangerous. He still looks frayed around the edges and sometimes glances nervously over his shoulder to make sure there aren't any grunts following them. He uses his Pokedex to ID whatever is laying in the sand.

"Raticate, use hyper fang on that geodude(1). Luxio, join raticate, and bite it. Snorlax, yawn at that guy.(left-most grunt) Slugma, yawn at that one.(right-most) Mona, hit that one with sleep powder.(center grunt) And, Sandshrew, if you would please, direct your attacks to that geodude.(2)"
Ivan has spearow use aerial ace on the mankey.

Mark and Mina:
Mina follows suit with her Pokedex, Tomas trailing a little behind as his remaining Pokemon are asleep. Both 'dexes show the same thing:
ERROR: Scanned subject is not a Pokémon!
On closer examination you discover it's a boat—or at least the wreck of one. Mark realizes that the damage patterns are similar to those on his Lapras when he first encountered the Pokemon on the beach, and Mina recognizes the signs of a Shadow Pokemon attack (which the Pokedex confirms). There are, however, a large number of tracks around the beached vessel that the Pokedexes identify as belonging to Krabby (and a Corphish or two). Now that you're closer, you can distinctly make out the clicking as a 'koo-kee koo-kee.'

It's not very effective...

Unfortunately the Grunt's Geodude is still up, and intercepts the Yawn bubble with a handful of dirt, popping it before it can do any harm.
Mona uses Sleep Powder! ((Roll = 4))
Mona however has better luck, and nails her target with the powder. He collapses in a heap and starts to drool. Slugma also hits his target, but the effects of Yawn are slower than Sleep Powder and he remains standing—for the time being.

Geodude 2's Accuracy falls!
The Geodude, now the only Pokemon standing on the Grunt side, seems to have taken offense at the attack on its trainer as it ignores its target in favor of throwing a rock at Stacey.

"We *yawns* can't hold'em off much longer, Horace," the drowsy Grunt mumbles, swaying on his feet.

Mark looked over at Mina, "Do you think you could help me flip this?" For some reason, Marks right arm was starting to become weaker... oh right, he needed to recharge that. "My... ah... my arm need to be charged, so I can't do this alone... there might be some pokemon we can catch under here."
((Note, perfect chance for Mina to ask awkward questions, like why Mark is here or how he lost his arm))

Stacey had assistance from Ivan, who seen what the geodude was planning, and pulled her clear to the side of the rock.
"That would've been bad. Thank you. Now, Raticate, quick attack him," she calls out, pointing to Horace. "Though, just enough to make him gasp for air. Luxio, bite the geodude. Sandshrew, just keep on targeting the geodude. The rest of you, try to put Mr Horace to sleep."
Ivan has Spearow use aerial ace on geodude.

Mark and Mina:
((Okay, but first things first...))
Mina was torn between amusement and concern—amusement, because apparently the kid was a typical trainer who would drop everything for a new Pokemon. Concern because—weren't they still on the run? Mina glanced around but didn't see anything they needed to worry about. Between the cliffs on one side blocking them from inland view, and the sound of the waves...she shot the Starlight Squad member a questioning look. He shrugged. Mina decided it was safe enough.
"Sure thing." Mina went over to help and braced herself against the boat. "You know I don't think we were ever properly introduced. I'm Mina."

Stacey:
"INTRUDER AL—ugh!" Horace goes down under the furry Normal type, air knocked out of his lungs. The Geodude follows in short order, and the drowsy Grunt falls backward after a moment, joining Mona's first target in sleep.
"I—" Horace pulls in a breath in spite of the rat Pokemon on his chest "—thought you were supposed to be the good guys!" Then Mona pours Sleep Powder in his face and he too clonks out, asleep. Your Sandshrew starts savagely biting the unconscious Geodude; otherwise all is quiet.

Mark smiled at her, he finally seemed to be settling down now that something was there to distract him. "My name is Mark. I'm from Jotoh, you?" He braced himself on the boat a little ways away and pushed with Mina, hopefully with enough force to move the boat.

Stacey replies to the man, even though he likely couldn't hear her. "Yeah, well we would like to reduce those of you we have to do this to. And you shouting out 'intruder' wouldn't help any."
Stacey looks over the grunts, finding one closest to her size, and another close enough to Ivan's. She removes the uniforms off the two.
"Quick, let's get into these, and hide these guys. Maybe we can send anyone that responds to Horace's call in the wrong direction."
She changes, starts hiding the grunts, and recalls pokemon.(even the grunts' pokemon, if she can. otherwise, she uses her pokemon to help hide the others, then recalls her's) She picks up sandshrew, and starts heading west, acting like she's chasing someone. Not too well either, with the bruise and carrying sandshrew.

((Not precisely. We're taking the scenic route remember—going in the opposite direction and then looping around to throw Bandra off the trail. You are a good distance from Keida now though.))
"Same. Where about in Johto? I'm from Willowbough—itty, bitty nowhere town not far from the Ruins of Alph."
The boat (or what was left of it) flipped over with a thud. Underneath was a handful of Krabby picking at the soggy wreckage of what had been in the boat, plus a single decent-sized Corphish. Several of the crustacean Pokemon waved their claws in warning, clacking at suddenly being revealed to the night sky, while the smaller and weaker specimens crab-walked away into the surf—apparently not wanting to fight.

You strip the Grunts down to their underwear and dress hastily, dragging them into the brush out of sight. Once you recall the KO'd Geodude ((and yes you can do that; the Grunts have their Pokeballs with them)) Sandshrew has to find something else to attack and resumes hissing at anything that moves.
Ivan also finds money in his new pockets, which he splits with you. ((+950 PD))
You manage to make it out of sight of the spot you hid the sleeping Grunts before you hear more approaching and see their flashlights. Someone calls out to you, the tone questioning rather than hostile thanks to your disguise.
"Hey, stop! What's going on there?"

"I'm from Blackthorn, way up in that mountain ridge." Mark told Mina before the boat was moved. He checks out the wild pokemon and seems to be fixated on the Corphish. "Are your pokemon well enough to fight?" Mark realized that he still had Tomas's pokemon, "And, ah, do you want these back?" The younger trainer asked, holding his own pokeballs at the ready. Skarmory might not be ready for this if all of these crabs decide to fight... He thought, somewhat nervous.

"Yeah." The Starlight Squad member took his Pokeballs back.
"I have my Sandshrew and I have Natu," Mina replied, hand going to her belt and the Pokeballs thereon. Sandshrew probably wouldn't be much help, being a Ground type, but the other two... "Oodramer's asleep, the rest are unconscious."
"Mine are asleep too," the Squad member warned.
"Hang on, I've got some Chesto Berries..." Mina grabbed a few ((3)) out of her pack and tossed them to him. He tossed one back and Mina held it out to Mark instead. "Need it?"
The various Water types looked like they were getting impatient. Mina was fairly sure she saw one Krabby tapping its foot.

Mina shrugged. "Okay. Let me know which ones you're after and I'll try not to scare them off or knock them out." The lack of communication and teamwork had been a big flaw in their tactics back in Keida, and Mina meant to start working on that now, since the opportunity presented itself.
She called out Oodramer and Natu (she'd decided there was no point in risking Sandshrew with the type disadvantage), then put the Berry in Oodramer's mouth and carefully pushed his jaws together. He blinked awake and swallowed reflexively, making a querying gargle.
"We're in a new battle my dear," Mina patted him (sliming her hand as usual), then pointed to the smallest of the four. "Natu, Nightshade that one."
((You want to run Tomas for this fight gnomes or shall I auto him?))

Stacey watches the four head off, wondering if they should try to go looking for this clubhouse. It would be beneficial for them to get their pokemon healed up. Though, there could also be more grunts within. Perhaps some that are familiar with all the members of their crew to notice Stacey and Ivan don't belong.
