Annoyed Brona sneaks one of the buns into one of his pockets, then helps to finish sorting the rest (keeping his cover) and heads toward the door with mind set on freedom. He doesn't look back and opens the door, then sets a slightly faster pace heading toward the forest to get out of town.

Mark and Mina:
The waiter takes orders and menus and goes off to fetch the drinks, returning with them a short while later. Mark gets a hot steaming mug of green tea (with a one-cup pot and a tiny pitcher of creamer alongside) ((sugar's on the table already)) and Mina gets a tall glass of liquid that's a fiery orange and beaded with condensation.
"Your food will be ready in a little while," the waiter informs you when he brings the drinks.

"Alright." Mark told him, smiling, "Thanks for the help~" He added three scoops of sugar to his tea. "Well..." Mark tried to think of something to talk about but failed. He looked around for a second before he pulled out his journal and began doing things in it again. He started to add shading to some of his drawings.

You steal a red bun successfully and make your escape. On your way out you see the helicopter is gone now, and large portions of the buildings and ground are scorched black. But aside from a few Grunts by the Daycare (and a glimpse of Hannah!) there is little else of note.

Mark and Mina:
Mina was likewise unable to think of a conversation topic, so she tried her juice. Shortly half the glass's contents were down her throat, and Mina had to restrain herself from finishing the rest immediately; she had dinner coming. She looked around again, trying harder to think of something to talk about, but still came up blank.
After a reasonable wait, their food arrived. Mina was a little surprised at the size of the plates and bowls; all they'd ordered was soup and salad. She speared a curl of shrimp with her fork; it was covered with a pinkish sauce. She bit down tentatively; it was creamy, but spicey, and Mina made note to come back here again. She gave up on thinking of conversation topics at that point and started making inroads on her dinner instead.

Mark ate a little bit of his salad, mentally slapping himself for not being able to think about anything. Let's see... we could make more strategies? Or talk about the weather... or I could say... "So Mina, what's it like at home?" Mark fell silent after that question (Which he hadn't meant to say out loud). "Er... that is... well... um... w-where are you from?" His recovery was poorly executed, now wasn't it?

Brona walked casually toward the perimeter of town, then along the edge until he felt he was close enough to the woods to sneak in undetected. He ran ducked down, scratching his visible skin on whatever branches in his way and didn't stop until his thigh throbbed too much to be ignored. Brona leaned into a tree and grimaced, then slid down on his behind, closing his eyes.
They're gone. he thought, clenching his jaw. All of my pokemon, stolen.. what am I going to do now?
He shook his head and struggled to his feet, no time to feel sorry for himself now, he had to get back to the Starlight Squad. He went on until he found a road, then headed for Ternai, hoping to catch up with his them.

Stacey calls both Slugma and Bronzor out. She uses a potion(noticed I don't have anything better than the basic. Need to change that...) on Slugma, and calls for Mona to drain from the non-paralyzed Billigruff.

Christian nodded "Okay. Do you have a geodude? If not, take mine. Now remember, all you have to do is make some earthquakes, some noise and some chaos. After that, recall the pokémon and run to the road over there. Christian pointed at the main road((I mean to remember that we parked the jeep outside of the road)), we will stop there once we have turned this jeep in the right direction and wait for you. But we will not wait forever, so you better hurry Rob!" Christian pointed at is wrist((as if I have a wristwatch)) to underline his point. "Good luck!"

"Oh! I'm from Johto, originally. A little nowhere town near the Ruins of Alph, to be more exact." Mina was actually pretty sure they'd had this conversation already, but was more than happy to seize on almost any topic at this point. "You said you were from...Blackthorn, wasn't it? Is it nice there?"

You make your way to a road and travel down it for about an hour before a voice from the brush calls out to you.
"You there!"
Three figures step out into view. It's a Bandra patrol, and while they don't look precisely friendly, they aren't attacking either. You do note they're standing just inside Pokeball-throwing range, however.
"What are you doing out here?"

Bronzor seems to take no notice of the battle at all; instead it spins slowly in place, taking in everything.

It's not very effective...

Rob nods, and takes off into the brush. Minutes pass. The trainers on your tail are getting dangerously close in spite of their bickering with each other when the flash of Pokeballs opening dimly illuminates the area.
"What was that?"
Then Screeching and shaking causes one trainer to cover their ears and you can barely make out the protesting howl of a Mightyena. You and your remaining Grunts get the jeep turned around on the main road and idle for a few nail-biting minutes; the trainers fail to materialize, but after a minute or too Rob does and leaps into the jeep, panting.
"Last time I every volunteer for anything!" he gasps as you make your escape.
((Later...))
The two hour drive that follows goes by without incident, save that Mr. Blakes moans a little (although he fails to wake up) and Rob recounts his daring escape:
"—and they were so close I could have spit on them! But the idiots just kept on running towards town, I think they were following our scent trail backwards..."
Just outside of Stardust, your jeep is stopped by a group of serious-looking Bandra guards.
"Hold it! State your name, rank and business!"

Brona stopped to catch his breath and looked toward the Bandra patrol. "A hostage escaped, Hannah sent several of us out in all directions to find him and kill him. Didn't you get the message? She sent a message to every patrol."

Mark nodded, "Yup, Blackthorn was where I was born and raised... so it's kind of funny that I don't have any dragon type pokemon, isn't it?" The town was the only pure dragon-type gym in the world, as far as Mark knew. "I guess it's a nice place... I'm not really a good judge since I have been traveling around the regions with my dad or Zelg since I was twelve. So... Yeah, I don't remember too much about it and I don't really have any family there. Er... how about you? What's home like?"

"Excellent job, Rob!" Christian complimented his underling "Now get us out of here, DRIVE DAMN YOU, DRIVE!"
"—and they were so close I could have spit on them! But the idiots just kept on running towards town, I think they were following our scent trail backwards..."
Christian turned thoughtful "Hmm...I see. Well, better safe than sorry, if we had waited they might have found us for all we know." Christian nodded, mostly to himself, wondering whether or not Mr. Blakes was going to be okay. "Earn their trust." he repeated the orders of his superior to himself "No time for a guilty conscience now, everything is for the greater good in the end, after all." Christian told himself. But he could not help but feel like he was betraying someone, somewhere to some consequence.
"Hold it! State your name, rank and business!"
Christian got his officer badge out "Junior Officer Christian with crew. We are returning from a mission for Big B. Let us pass."
((I mean to remember that I am a "Junior" Officer. If not just say Christian said whatever rank he actually got))

"Escaped hostage?" the Grunt addressing you looks surprised; apparently this is news to him. "Nobody told us about any escaped hostage. Let me check on that..." He pulls the radio off his belt and presses the button. "Keida Hub, what's this I hear about an escaped hostage?"
Meanwhile one of the other Grunts is looking you over with a furrowed brow. "What are you doing out here without the rest of your patrol, anyway? There are Shadow Pokemon running around here, you idiot, are you trying to get yourself splatted?"

((That works.  ))
The sentries look a little startled, apparently not expecting an incognito Officer. "R-right. I mean, yes sir!" The guards part and let you through.
Your grunt driver pulls the jeep back into a spot in the town square; late as it is ((11 PM)), the corpses ringing the place are visible only as silhouettes hanging from the street lights, or as a sudden silent image appearing when the headlights cross one, and vanishing afterwards. But you can still smell them.
"Hey New Kid, any idea what we're supposed to do with the old man now?" Rob asks once the jeep pulls to a stop.
Before you can answer the jeep is approached by a skinny-looking individual with a clipboard and a lab coat on over his Bandra shirt.
"Officer Christian?"
He sounds like he could have been standing there and waiting for either hours or minutes and still have the same clipped tone of voice.
"My orders from Triple B said you would have a package for me."

On their way into the base, Christian remembered that Blakes had had a Torkoal. Christian took a look at the unconscious body of Mr. Blakes and started wondering what other pokémon he might have. Thinking back to the lab he had seen in the Brandra HQ, Christian felt a sting of guilt when he thought about what the scientists might do to Mr. Blakes pokémon should they get their hands on them. "Not on my watch." he thought as he bent over the body, starting to rummage through Mr. Blakes pockets looking for pokéballs and pokémon. He put them into his own pockets for safe keeping.
later...
"Officer Christian? My orders from Triple B said you would have a package for me."
"I trust that answers your question, Rob." Christian smiled a little before turning to the one who had asked him "I suppose so. My orders were to capture this guy-" Christian pointed at the unconscious Mr. Blakes "And bring him to Brandra territory. It's the only "package" I can think of." Christian motioned for the grunts to take Blakes out of the jeep "His name is Smith Blakes, he is a maker and seller of Apricorn pokéballs and possibly connected to our enemies. More than that I do not know." Christian stated.

Across the battlefield you note the other trainers seem to be holding out for the moment; one frantic-looking woman even manages to get her Zigzagoon past the main battle lines—only for the poor Normal type to take a Bash from Captain Tanik that sends it flying backwards. As it lands it is clearly unconscious, and its fur takes on the familiar purple-black tones of Shadowing.
Meanwhile the rift, in the background, is showing signs of closing soon and a few Billigruff are darting past the fights to drag unconscious comrades, paralyzed humans and (when they get a chance) unconscious opponent Pokemon through it.

Maybe half-a-dozen trainers in the whole place when I left" most of them Quincy's friends "and not really much of interest there at all, unless you go over to the Ruins. We don't even get much traffic."

The Bandra scientist scratches something on his clipboard and nods. "Yes, that seems to be in order." He turns to your Grunts. "You three, get that out of there and come with me." He turns back to you. "I was also told to pass on a message; Triple B wanted to see you back in Moontear at your convenience."

Mark gave her a little smirk as he leaned forward, "That must be nice." He decided that he owed her an explanation after asking such an awkward question, "What I mean is, you don't have something big like the only dragon gym on this side of the world. So loudmouthed glory seakers and 'Future pokemon champions,'" He took a bite of his salad as he said that, rolling his eyes as he moved his fingers in quotes, "coming through town every Tuesday, causing a bother, eating food, bragging and then moping as they are beaten without any difficulty and sent home. By Arceus those people annoy me..." That last bit was sighed as Mark looked down at his plate. "It was always the silent ones that actually won... the ones who just went and did things without posing. They were okay... and one of them was actually a friend that I came to admire." Mark's face became subdued, his smile tinged by sadness, "I guess that's why I keep writing in his journal..." Mark became silent after that as he ate his food, not looking up.

Stacey considers not trying to catch one of the little spectrals, but ends up giving it the attempt. She trows a great ball at the one that had taken the most punishment.
"Okay, Snorlax, welcome back! Now, if you wouldn't mind giving that one(2) a body slam, that would be great. Slugma, recover."
She calls for Bronzor to use its confusion-type attack at Tanik. It would be great if she could make it so he couldn't intercept anyone that would attempt to assist those being dragged unwillingly into the void. She also gives a quick look around, trying to see if she could possibly notice Sky around. Though not a gym battle, this may be good practice for him.

Brona prayed silently that they'd found the other grunt bound instead of himself, and that a search party had been sent to search for him, then continued his lie in a believable fashion as possible, addressing guy asking him questions.
"We are spread out thin to cover as much ground as possible, Hannah does not want Starlight reinforcement to attack town again therefor it is essential we catch this guy." he shrugged "You know how Hannah works, if a couple of us get 'splatted' as you say, it doesn't matter as long as the plan as a whole is successful."
