Serranix 3 uses Backlash!
Snorlax is hit for 16 damage!
It's super effective!
Snorlax's Shadow Gauge raises 5%!

The Billigruff get mad as their target vanishes, a fact that is made deafeningly evident as they spew a great deal of verbal vitriol—some of which is even in English, though their human-speak is heavily broken and accented. One of them smacks Snorlax with its mop, leaving a dusty yellow patch on her hide and causing her to seize up. The other charges at you with mayhem in its eyes, raising the mop, only to be intercepted by Mona and smacking her instead.

((Paralysis roll = 97))
Snorlax uses Body Slam!
Serranix 3 is hit for 60 damage!

The Serranix is knocked out cold, but once again the spikes covering its body deal damage as it goes down. ((-15 HP to Snorlax.))

Snorlax regains 7 HP due to held Leftovers!
Snorlax's Shadow Gauge falls 2%!

Luxio: 0/65
Slugma: 3/60 (recalled)
Snorlax: 49/127 (Paralyzed, Special Attack down 1 level)(Shadowed: 3%)
Mona: 65/65 (Paralyzed)

Serranix 1: 0/65 (Shadowed: 94%)
Serranix 2: 0/60 (Shadowed: 96%)
Serranix 3: 0/71 (Shadowed: 92%)
Billigruff 1: 63/63
Billigruff 2: 71/71

Mark and Mina:

Both trainers recall their Pokemon and go over to the restaurant.

The flood of refugees from Ternai have mostly passed through by this point, so it isn't very busy. As a result you are seated very quickly—Ariados having to adjust himself when Mark sits down—and handed menus.

((Meal prices range from 750PD to 1500PD at this restaurant.))

Brona swore into the gag and tried to lean back into the desk to feel inside for something sharp. Three times he tried, three times he fell. The fourth time he finally managed to lean properly into the desk to get a good feel inside the bottom drawer (almost sounds kinky..).

Brona feels something long and hard in the drawer. After a moment of groping around and feeling increasingly dirty, he realizes it's a pair of scissors.

Who is stupid enough to leave a prisoner in a room with scissors? Brona thought as he managed to pick it up, but as he tried to stand up again he managed to stumble and stabbed himself in the thigh. For the first time that day he was glad he were gagged. He pulled it out and took a good grip, then he got to work trying to get through the ropes.

Brona:

After what seems like an inordinately long time (it's good rope, and they're rather lousy scissors) Brona manages to saw through enough of his bonds to free himself.

((And I'm going to assume you take off the blindfold etc. at this point. If for some reason you prefer to remain gagged and blindfolded for the rest of the game, say so and ignore the rest of this post. ))

Upon removing his bonds, Brona finds himself in a dark, windowless room. A little light comes from underneath the only door, illuminating faint outlines of everything within but little detail: a long dresser across the back wall from which he obtained the scissors, a beam along the wall to his left on which a few coat hangers and a child-sized outfit are hung, a boxy object on the floor in a corner. A dark shape that looks at first to be another person is after a moment distinguishable as Brona's own reflection from the room-length mirror over the dresser, which is rimmed along the top and sides by lights.

He is unsurprisingly alone, although fluctuations in the light coming from under the door alert him to the presence of at least one guard outside the room. Upon listening for a moment, he can hear the tinny sounds of headphone music cranked up to high volume and occasionally a more distant murmur of voices.

Brona walks over to the boxy shape and investigates it ().

(If nothing of interest about the thing, here is continuation)

Brona readies the scisors in his right hand, ready to stab down whoever comes in his way. Hopefully the horrible scissors wouldn't break in contact with a person. With his left hand on the handle he carefully tries to open the door, his right hand at chest-height ready to strike for anyone who might be on the other side (no need to play friendly )

Brona:

On closer inspection, the boxy shape proves to be a very battered Fashion Case ((the thing you use to hold Contest Accessories in)). On even closer inspection, it proves have a few old Accessories in it. ((Two pieces of Fluff (one blue, one green), a container of yellow Glitter, and a dispenser for black Smoke.))

The door is locked, but by a stroke of luck is unlockable from the inside ((disadvantage to throwing someone into a normal room rather than a dedicated jail cell )), and once that's undone the door swings open at your touch.

The Grunt, now singing along with his headphones, doesn't notice this until it's too late—

"—to become the greatest train—AHH!"

—and the door slams into him from the side, the scissors stabbing down on his shoulder a split second later.

At which point he pulls away, screaming and fumbling for his Pokeballs.

((You said you were aiming for chest height, and the Grunt moved. What kind of damage do you actually expect out of a pair of scissors? ))

You feel the Grunt's nose give out under your fist. He drops one Pokeball, but manages to open his second, releasing a very confused Sandshrew. You manage to grab the third ((out of three)) off his belt in the struggle. The Grunt blubbers something unintelligible at his Pokemon through his broken nose and leaps for the free ball, but the Sandshrew just looks puzzled.

The blow slams the man's head into the floor, knocking him out. The Sandshrew is recalled without incident. Searching the man's body you find his headphones, a Pinap Berry, half a granola bar and 250 PD. ((Let me know what you're taking and what you're leaving behind, BTW.))

Looking around, you find yourself in a hallway. Aside from the door you came out of, there are three more along the same side, one on the opposite side, and one at either end of the hall—the one at the end to your right is ajar, and voices are coming through it along with a whir like a giant blender.

Brona dragged the man inside the room and stripped his clothes off and then undressed himself. He then put on the bandra uniform, it were a little tight but otherwise fit surprisingly well. He brought the berry and pokeballs with him, then bound and gagged the grunt using his old clothes and what remained of clothing.

"Let's see how you like that." he muttered as he left the room again, heading for where he heard noises, keeping his head low as to hide his face. The best place to hide was in plain view, he had heard .. time to put it to the test.

Mark ordered a garden salad with broccoli cheese soup, but he hesitated before picking a drink. "Do you want to try out a wine...?" He asked Mina nervously, not knowing if she would be willing to spend the extra money or how she would take it. Mark was just curious about how it tasted, Johtoh was more sharp and sour while Kanto and Hoenn had sweeter wines... He had yet to try out anything from Helnith, even though he had been here on vacation anymore. It made him curious... If Mina said no, then he orders some green tea.

Brona:

((Grunt uniform includes a facemask BTW. Officers don't get one because everyone knows who most of them are anyway.))

You walk down the hall in your stolen uniform and push through the door, keeping your head down as best you can.

Beyond you find a large, open room that looks like a reception area, except it isn't being used that way any more. Half-a-dozen Grunts are here, overseen by a bored Taskmaster (("Nan" if you remember her)): four of these are working at what seems to be a large blender set into the floor while the remaining two work nearby, sorting through the boxes and (in one case) flirting with the Taskmaster (who is mostly ignoring him). No one does more than glance your way; apparently your assault on the Grunt in the hallway went unheard.

Photos and posters of Contest Coordinators line the walls (some famous, some not, but most of which have been graffitied to some extent), and boxes are piled around the room, the majority of which are collapsed save for a smallish stack by the Grunts. Two more of the big blenders sit unused near the first, and behind the three of them someone's placed a whiteboard with wheels on which many notes have been scribbled. Across the room you can see the exit, through which you spy daylight and the central pond of Keida.

Mark and Mina:

"I'm not really much of a drinker..." Mina answered. Then had stabbing feelings of guilt. Don't be such a cheapskate Mina! It's rude! If you weren't willing to pay for dinner, you shouldn't have offered! So she added, "But you go ahead if you want." She herself was going to have a Seafood Salad (also with Broccoli Cheese soup) and intended to flag down the waiter to ask what kind of juices they had.

Brona only hesitated a couple of seconds, then started sorting through some boxes himself, searching for his pokeballs. He would look through four random crates, nothing more, then head out. After all, it would be stupid to push his luck too much...

He walked over to the first free box, trying to seem as if sorting through them were his job.

You sort through the boxes, but quickly find they don't contain Pokeballs at all; rather, they're holding brightly colored buns in pink, yellow, yellow, blue...and watching the real Grunts sort, you see green and red as well. Thinking back, you remember Grunts loading these into the helicopter prior to your group's disastrous attack, along with the Pokemon eggs. ((During the 'scouting mission.'))

"That's per glass, and right now we have a nice Merlot and a light Zinfandel. Or, if you prefer, I believe we still have some Watmel wine stored away I can open for you. I will need to see your Pokedex or other identification however," the waiter informed Mark courteously.

Mina held up a hand to catch the waiter's attention. "What kind of juice do you have?"

"I'm glad you asked. Today we have orange juice, grapefruit juice, Bluk, Razz, a nice guava and passionfruit mix" (Mina blinked, then belatedly remembered that they were in the tropics), pineapple and mango. All fresh squeezed today."

"Hmm..." Mina considered her options carefully. "I think I'll try the guava." Might as well try something new. "What about you, Mark?"
