As the wisp fly faints, the cocky demeanor of the Grunt dies. He turns pale as he eyes his last Pokéball nervously. He starts looking at the door, but decides to send out his last Pokémon for futility's sake.
Bandra Grunt sends out Wiliter!
As the Pokéball opens, you notice why he's in such a nervous mood. He had kept the pre-evolution of his previous two Pokémon for last.

The frustrated Lass decides to switch out Chansey before the attack ((which cancels out the Taunt  )) and send out her last Pokémon.
Lass returns Chansey!
The last Pokéball opens to reveal a Pikachu, just in time to get clobbered by the Onix's Rock Tomb, and also to witness the subsiding of the Sandstorm ((hey, thanks to my mental hiccup, it lasted 7 turns ). Completely ignorant of what the Pokéball contained, she smacks her forehead as the Pikachu takes the hit.
Onix uses Rock Tomb!
Pikachu takes 15 points of damage!
Pikachu's Speed drops by one level!
Onix's poison worsens!
Onix takes 7 points of damage!

I almost decide to switch out pokemon as I see that last attack do so much, but decide to allow slugma to give its all. I quickly try and choose which attack to use now. Neither of the attacks, I'm not sure how well it would be in this case. Though, of the two, I think I'd rather use to get this battle over quicker, instead of seeing how dragging it out would end up.

Magnitude? Well, whatever it does, it would likely not be good for the slugma. I'll save the slugma for later, and see what I can do with something else. Graveler seems like either a rock or a ground type, or both. Magnemite could have a really bad disadvantage.

Having expected a looming electrical death (or at least paralysis) to envelope her poor Dark type, Mina was just as shocked as her opponent to see the girl’s Pikachu fall victim to one of the most vicious Bite attacks she’d even seen—not that, Mina noted to herself, she’d seen many.
Mina let out a cheering whistle as Pikachu fainted. Houndour looked up from his aggressive posture over the fallen Electric type, ears perking in confusion.
“Oh, I forgot…you’re not one of my regulars.” Mina translated enthusiastically, “Good job Houndour!”
Houndour barked happily, his stubby tail wagging. He bolted over to Mina to receive petting, which she gave cheerfully as her opponent recalled the fainted Pikachu.
“You’re doing great, do you think you can keep it up?” Houndour yipped, tail still wagging. “Okay.”
Mina motioned to the Chansey who had once again taken to the field. “Use Bite again!”

((As for your question, yes it did, but no, it doesn't level up. The only possible level-up possibility for now is that ridiculously skewed fight between Stacey and the Bandra Breeder.))
You make your way to the Pokémon Center to have your Pokémon healed up. As you make to leave, a familiar face shows itself from the nearby hallway.
"Hi, Draloed.", says Dove softly.
The young woman looks somewhat better than before, but is still using the wall for support. She gets chastised again by the nurses for leaving her bedroom, when suddenly...
...a breeder ((guess who? Hint: He was running due west in Stacey's post )) hurriedly bolts into the Pokémon Center. He is gasping heavily, as if heavily exerted from extended physical activity.
He manages to blurt out, between breaths:
"One of...Breeders...Bandra...one of Tournament contestants in trouble."
It's hard to make sense of what the man is saying, but Dove perks up instantly and says:
"I'll go. I just need to..."
The nurses give Dove a chastising glare as she goes to her bedroom to get something. You assume its her Pokémon. She returns a minute later, fully dressed in her matching jeans and shirt. It is obvious that she is in pain, but no amount of prodding by the nurses will get her back into her bedroom while someone is in danger.
She makes to head out, as quick as her injured body will let her, asking you, or rather semi-ordering you (():
"Please come with me. I may need your help."
Dove looks back to the nurses and says:
"Please look after Fate while I'm gone."
The nurses nod as they reluctantly let her go.

Houndour uses Bite!
To everyone's surprise, the Houndour bites the Chansey into submission before it can use Softboiled. ((Don't you love slow stallers )
Chansey fainted!
After the shock, the crowd goes wild! Everyone could tell that it was a hard-won victory.
You get 500 PD for your victory!
The announcer then asks if you wish to swap a Pokémon.

Mina bowed to her opponent after the battle. “Good match!” She was glowing from the victory and gave Houndour another pet before returning him.
When the announcer asked her if she wanted to switch a Pokemon, she laughed—a light laugh, with no malice or condensation in it.
“After the awesome job these three did? No thank you! Besides, stalling isn’t my style.”

((Chansey had 38 HP left. The Bite would've done 39-46 damage.  ))
The Lass looks at you and bows back, still slightly flustered at the sudden switch in momentum.
She then wishes you good luck in the rest of the tournament and steps out of the arena. She gets a free round of applause for good sportsmanship.
The announcer smiles as you tell him your decision. He then hurries to look over the two remaining battles in this sequence while a man arrives with the portable Pokémon Center to heal your rentals up.
((It is 2:30 PM as this battle ends. Feel free to correct me if I somehow jumped back in time; I'm running on brainpower for the time of day. ))
You are now free to run around the village again, until your next battle.
((Of course, Stacey was fighting the Bandra goon fifteen minutes ago, so I have to work that out first. ))

Mina clapped along with the rest as her opponent left the field. It was so nice to face someone who didn’t spew insults when they lost, and she hoped the girl wouldn’t take the loss too hard.
But before Mina left to wander around, there was something she wanted to know. She got the attention of the man running the portable Poke Center briefly as she clipped her rentals back to her belt.
“Can you tell me when the next set of eliminations will be?”

The man hands you your rentals back and answers:
"Well, *looks at his watch* it's 2:30PM right now. I reckon these battles will end at about 3:30-4:00PM. Afterwards, the last four battles of the day will be held. Those should end at about 6:00-6:30PM. Tomorrow, the other half of the tournament will be held. I hope that answers your question."
He smiles as he moves away with the Portable Pokémon Center.

The Bandra guy seems quite confident with his choice of attack against my murkrow. So, I think that the best option would be for me to try to ruin or prevent that attack.

((In that case, I’ll try and wander somewhere the fight isn’t for now, just to ensure Mina isn't in two places at once.
Also, inventories posted in the OOC thread for those who haven't already noticed! Let me know if I messed up. ))
“Thank you,” Mina replied. She was a bit surprised it was so early; she’d thought that round with the Skitty had drawn on forever, but maybe that was just her perception of it.
Since she had some time to kill before her friends’ matches, she wandered around the outdoor arenas a bit, seeing if she could catch a glimpse of some of the tactics being used or pick up some interesting gossip. As she strolled around, she wondered if she could swap her rentals back for the night (she missed Pidgey, and Pichu was barely a day old now), then wondered if she should; while Pidgey could wipe the floor with those Bug types, most of the Bandra Grunts had had Geodude, and the Rock/Ground Pokemon would be a serious problem if she got into any more trouble without Poliwag to beat them off. And they might be safer under guard…she resolved to think about it.

As your Murkrow starts whipping up a Whirlwind, the Graveler Throws a Rock. The Breeder then takes a moment to say loudly:
"Whirlwind ((and Roar, for that matter)) is an altered-priority move! Which means that, your Murkrow goes second! Say goodbye!"
Graveler uses Rock Throw!
Murkrow takes 91 points of damage! ((ow...))
Murkrow faints!
The winds die out as soon as they started. You recall your Murkrow. The Breeder takes another moment to ask a question:

You wander around the outdoor arenas, watching the remaining battles in your block.
Another Lass is facing off against a Rich Boy. She seems to have the upper hand with a Clefairy. The Rich Boy, however, switches out his Togepi to send out a Makuhita. The Makuhita then proceeds to Vital Throw the Clefairy, after getting nailed by a 5-hit Doubleslap. The Clefairy faints from the attack. The Rich Boy is now in control of the match.
You move on to the other occupied arena and see a Fisherman versus a Ranger. The Ranger has just sent out a Sandshrew to counter his foe's Luxio. The Luxio ends up trying to Thunderbolt the Sandshrew, to no effect. It's hard to tell who is in control in this match.
Finally, you decide to look around to listen in on interesting gossip. Most of it is idle chit-chat, but a certain conversation between two villagers grabs your interest:
Villager A: Hey! Have you heard about the new Elder of Hillsbreak Town?
Villager B: No...isn't Roden boss?
Villager A: He was. Apparently, he's gone missing, as of several months ago, and now some man called Lionel is boss.
Villager B: Hmm...never heard of him. How did he get the position?
Villager A: Don't spread this around...but, according to him, he's the illegitimate son of Elder Roden.
Villager B: *gasp*
Villager A: That's not the worst part. Ever since he became boss, Team Bandra has been increasing its influence in the surrounding countryside. I hate to say this...but I think he's a supporter.
