Bandra Breeder Battle ((Triple B  )) (Stacey and Draload…and now Korejora):
Dove ordered her Sandshrew to use Scratch just as Draloed’s Skorupi unleashed his attack. A stream of glowing needles impacted the Poison type as Magnemite seemed to split into multiples of itself.
Skorupi used Pin Missile!
Seviper takes 2 points of damage!
Seviper takes 2 points of damage!
Seviper takes 2 points of damage!
Hit three times!
It’s not very effective...
Magnemite used Double Team!
Its evasion rose!
Dove’s Sandshrew dove in for a quick scratch as the stream of needles waned.
Sandshrew used Scratch!
Seviper takes 3 points of damage!
The Bandra breeder smirks at this pitiful attack and orders his Seviper to, “Use Bite on that annoying little bug!”
Seviper moved…twitched…and fell on its side, paralyzed.
Breeee…breeee…
Dove glanced down at her Pokedex to see the message from Korejora’s character:
Hi, Dove! How's it going?
Typing quickly, she replied:
~Hi!
I’m not at the Pokemon Center right now, I’m at the festival fighting a Bandra agent with Draloed and Stacey. We can use your help if you want to come over, if not we’ll have it wrapped up in a bit. Did you need anything?~

Misty:
You exchange Geodude with your opponent’s Sudowoodo as the man with the portable Pokemon Center arrives. He heals your team (and your opponent’s, who goes back to get his regular team since he’s out now) and congratulates you before moving on to the next match.
As you dote on your Pokemon, Mina, who was exercising extreme self-restraint to keep from dancing in place as your team was healed, rushes over to you at last to congratulate you on your win.
“That was great Misty! You were awesome!”

Munchlax uses its held Leftovers to heal 5 HP!
Magnemite used Supersonic!
Munchlax is confused!
Munchlax started to wobble a bit as the full paralysis passed—at least for the moment. It looked around the arena, its gaze stiffly befuddled. Heartened, the rich boy called out:
“Come on, Munchlax! Body Slam on Magnemite!”
There was just enough comprehension in Munchlax’s gaze for it to carry out the order. It charged somewhat erratically towards the Steel type, leaped into the air and came crashing down on Magnemite. There was a clang sound as the latter impacted on a rock buried in the arena floor.
Munchlax used Body Slam!
Critical hit!
Some of the crowd let out gasps as Munchlax picked itself off its opponent. Magnemite rose feebly into the air before seeming to steady.
Magnemite takes 34 points of damage! ((Okay that’s better.))
It's not very effective...
Magnemite used held Chahal Berry!
Magnemite regained 20 HP!
“YES! I knew you could do it, Munchlax!” The rich boy did a (somewhat premature) victory dance in place, to the bemusement of some of the spectators.

Bandra Breeder Battle:
Dove ordered another Scratch attack while Skorupi unloaded a fresh barrage of needles into his foe. Even more duplicates of Magnemite filled the battlefield.
Skorupi used Pin Missile!

Seviper just twitched feebly. ((Fully paralyzed again. )) The Bandra breeder growled, seeing his Pokemon accrue more damage. Tired of being unable to retaliate, he decided to switch Pokemon. He recalled Seviper.
“Come back out, Skarmory!”

“Of course!” Mina responded, grinning. “You’re my main competition—no way I’ll just let you win!”
Her expression relaxed a bit as she added, “Speaking of competition, do you want to go see how Stacey’s doing? Her match might not be over yet, although she was doing good last I saw.”

Draloed observes the glittering skarmory under the harsh sun... thinking that it is obviously a steel flying type for obvious reasons he figures it might use a flying move on poor little sting.

[Ha ha ha. You obviously think highly of those Bandra goons.] she sent to Dove again. [Well, it couldn't hurt to have another there. You never know when they've got some trick up their sleeves, or even something as simple as a few reinforcements.]
She flipped her Pokédex shut and changed direction slightly, heading off towards the festival grounds.

Misty and Mina set off for the arena where Stacey’s match was being held, arriving just in time to see Munchlax crit Magnemite. The clang of the Steel type hitting the ground was audible even from where they stood.
“Oh, ow, that must have hurt,” Mina muttered sympathetically.

Magnemite once again seems to split into multiples. Your opponent frowns thoughtfully.
“Munchlax, use Body Slam on…that one.” He points.
Munchlax seems to wobble for a second. It looks from one floating version of Magnemite, to the next and the next, then back to its temporary trainer. It starts forward, only to trip on the rock Magnemite impacted earlier and falls flat on its face.
Munchlax is confused! It hurt itself in its confusion!
Your opponent just puts his head in his hand and looks annoyed.

Magnemite used Supersonic!
Skarmory is confused!
Sandshrew used Sand Attack!
Skarmory’s accuracy decreased!
Dove spots Korejora’s character arrive on the scene and smiles, an expression dimmed only by her injuries. The Breeder scowls.

“Your friends won’t save you!” the Breeder declared. “Skarmory, use Swift!”
“Stupid move!” Dove taunted. “Two of our Pokemon are Steel types; they’ll barely take any damage!”
“Maybe so,” the Breeder agreed, “but you can throw sand at him all day and it won’t make any difference for Swift.” He grinned. “And Swift can hit you all at once! Do it, Skarmory!”
Blinded by sand and still flailing madly from the Supersonic, Skarmory screeched loudly as it flung glowing stars in all directions.
Skarmory is confused!
Skarmory used Swift!
Magnemite takes 5 damage!
Aron takes 4 damage!
Sandshrew takes 21 damage!
Ironsides, being a Steel/Rock type and therefore doubly resistant to Normal attacks, was barely scratched; Magnemite was hardly worse off. Dove’s Sandshrew, however, had taken a beating. Dove grimaced. “Use Defense Curl!”
Magnemite used Double Team!
Its evasion rose!
Aron used Harden!
Its defense rose!
Sandshrew used Defense Curl!
Its defense rose!
Skarmory takes 7 points of damage due to burn!

Even more copies of Magnemite appeared to clutter up the field as Munchlax pulled itself to its feet. The rich boy swore, and a lady in the audience shot him a scandalized look.
“Munchlax…use…” Something seemed to catch his eye. “Body Slam that one, now!”
Munchlax’s befuddled expression cleared enough for the command to register. It trundled over to the indicated Magnemite, gathering speed, and leapt on it.
Munchlax is confused!
Munchlax used Body Slam!
There was a thud as Munchlax slammed into the floating Magnemite, bringing it to the ground again.
Magnemite takes 18 points of damage!
It’s not very effective…
The rich boy looked satisfied as the attack connected. “Excellent job, Munchlax!”
From the crowd comes another voice; one vaguely recognizable as Mina.
“You can do it, Stacey!”

Almost ready to switch out, saving Magnemite for later, I hear the Bandra guy and Dove exchanging words. It seems the bandra guy wants to use swift now. And it seems to be that it isn't very good against steel types. I guess I'll continue on with magnemite, for now.

Munchlax finally seems to have shaken off the confusion, though its movements are still stiff and slow (make that slower) from the paralysis. Magnemite has hidden in the swarm of duplicates; Munchlax careens toward one, and—
—crashes into Magnemite. Thud.
Magnemite takes 19 points of damage!
“Body Slam, Body Slam, Body Slam,” sneers one of the spectators (not someone you know, this time). “Is that all that thing can do?”
“You hush!” The rich boy retorts. He watches the two combatants carefully, seeming to have noticed something. Some of the crowd has noticed too, and the news is slowly spreading as more people pick up on it.
Magnemite floats into the air again, but this time its movements are jerky, erratic—
Magnemite is Paralyzed!
The rich boy whoops, throwing a fist skyward. “Way to go, Munchlax! Keep it up!”

Magnemite whirred and groaned furiously, its body twitching from the paralysis. Suddenly sparks arched between its two magnets and it fell to the ground, unable to move.
Magnemite’s fully Paralyzed!
The rich boy laughed. “Yes! Munchlax, Body Slam again!”
The tension in the audience was almost alive as Munchlax struggled against the Paralysis. It took one step. Then another. And another. Munchlax started to gather speed and flew headlong at Magnemite—
Crash.
Both Pokemon went sprawling. Munchlax pulled itself to its feet.
Magnemite didn’t move. At first this was unsurprising, but as it didn’t even twitch and the length of time it failed to move increased, a hush fell over the crowd.
“No!” wailed the boy who had complained earlier. “Now we’re going to have to put up with Body Slam, Body Slam, Body Slam—” The girl standing next to him slapped him. “—ow!”
Magnemite took 16 points of damage!
Magnemite fainted!
The rich boy couldn’t conceal his grin. “Let that be a lesson for you; stalling’s useful, but it won’t do you any good unless you can deal some damage, too!”
Back in the crowd, you hear Mina shout, "Don't give up, Stacey!"
