Misty:
You advance closer to the scene, hiding behind another tree. You can now hear the conversation:
Klandon: ...so it's all set then?
???: Indeed it is. By this time tomorrow, we will be ready to attack that forsaken village.
After this first exchange, you notice that the cloaked figure is a man.
Klandon: Good. Those meddling Trainers will pay for their insolence! We have to attack quickly, since the convergence is set to arrive tomorrow night, and I assume that my pathetic brother is going to try to save my father.
???: I have never understood what quarrel you have with your father.
Klandon: Hmph! He is weak. His mere existence sickens me.
The cloaked figure remains silent as Klandon sends him off, saying:
"Don't you dare lose that tournament! That's Team Bandra's Ditto you're offering up as the prize if you do!"
The cloaked figure nods and leaves, in your direction. Klandon leaves in the opposite direction.
The figure moves closer and closer. In mere seconds, he will be face to face with you.
What will you do?

Meanwhile...
You wander the tournament grounds, but find nothing of interest. It seems that the crowds are rather eager for the quarterfinals to commence. You get a nagging feeling that you should go check up on your Pichu. ((I wonder why... ))

I get the heck outta dodge is what I do. First I pick up a rock and toss it behind him, then beat high tail it as fast as I can. If he maages to chase after me I have to trust my pokemon. ((Only if he manages to chase me)) I'll turn and fight, though I doubt I will have much chance. While I am fighting I will let stripes out and send him to look for Mina. I will face him with Umbreon.

You find a nicely sized rock and toss it behind the cloaked man. He looks back for a second and asks "Who's there?". As you run away back to the village, the man sees you. However, instead of chasing you, you hear a clicking sound, similar to that of a camera. You turn around and see that he has taken a photo of you (well, your back), and that he's taking out a cellphone.
You make it safely back to the village.
There is still time before the quarterfinals. You check a nearby clock and find out that you still have about half an hour left.

Misty finds the others. When she does she will repeat everything she heard. Then adds. "Just as we figured the 'champion' is working for them. We have to dethrone him..no matter the cost."

((Actually...considering that it's still daytime...about 10-15 minutes after the end of the last sequence of battles actually...you have a bit more to worry about. But yeah, all he saw was your back.  ))
Misty:
You find Dove at the front desk of the Pokémon Center, talking to the nurse. You tell her about the cloaked figure. She then ponders what you've said for a moment and responds:
"Well, we definitely have to dethrone him now. However, it won't be easy...considering that he's training his Pokémon so that they're higher than the regulated limit of Level 15."
She then continues, saying:
"You should go find the others."
As she sends you off, she calls you back, saying, with a very happy smile on her face:
"I thought you should know...Fate woke up a minute ago. He's still pretty battered up, but now we know that he'll live."
She is definitely one happy young woman at the moment.

"Yeah, I figured as much. That is why I am glad I got pokemon who would have a type advantage over his, if I get to the finals at all that is." after that she again races off to find more of her friends.
((Then how the heck did she sneak up on them in daytime?? *shrugs*))

As Mina wandered, she passed by the red tent. A thought occurred. Maybe I'll go check up on my regular team; I have time...
She strolled over to the entrance to ask the people in charge if she could check on her Pokemon briefly.

draloed realizes he is hungry and exchanges the rentals for his pokemon. they travel to the pokemon center to sit down, eat, and maybe check on zorpaleus and others who were injured.

((LOL! Sorry about that! Anyways, the battle is over. ))
You have your Murkrow use Wing Attack on the poor bee. It has just enough time to think about using Poison Sting before it gets forcefully buffeted. The force of the attack is too much, and it faints.
The announcer runs up to you cheerily, congratulating you on your victory. Afterwards, he asks if you would like to swap a Pokémon. Then, you are to pick which Pokémon you will take with you on your adventures after the tournament.

Mina:
You reach the red tent and ask one of the guards. He agrees and lets you in. As if detecting your presence, the Pokéball containing Pichu opens up. You notice your Pichu is glowing slightly, as if it wants to evolve.

Draloed:
You reach the Pokémon Center and see Dove at the front desk, talking to the nurse. She waves at you and says, ecstatically:
"Fate woke up!"
You decide to ask her where Zorpaleus is. She answers:
"I have no idea at all. In fact, the last time I saw him was during our battle with Altros the [sarcasm]Powerful[/sarcasm]."
You grab a bite to eat from the nearby cafeteria and are then left alone to wonder where that Spectral Pokémon has gone.

No sooner had Mina entered the tent when a Pokeball near the back burst open, disgorging her Pichu. The little Electric type, no doubt alerted to Mina's presence by her voice, scampered over to her trainer immediately, clutching the Thunder Stone Mina had given her awkwardly. She was glowing softly, in and out, and her expression was...puzzled.
"Hey there little girl, how's it going?" Mina crouched down to be closer to eye level and held out her hand to pat the hatchling's head. Pichu chu'd happily and rubbed against her hand.
"I had a little time between rounds so I came to visit; will you guys be okay for the afternoon?"
"Chuuu..." Still looking somewhat confused, Pichu's ears folded back against her head and she looked inquiringly up at her trainer, as though to say, 'what do I do now?' Not having an answer to the unspoken question, Mina just rubbed behind her ears, murmuring reassurances.
"It's all right..."

The announcer nods as you make your choice and marks the appropriate Pokéball with green ink. That also marks the end of this round's battles, so the announcer heads over to his favored podium and starts his usual speech...
Winners of Round 2 (Second Sequence):
Youngster C (Zigzagoon - Odor Sleuth)
Mina
Rich Boy D
Ranger B
Stacey
Bug Catcher C (Venonat - Supersonic)
Misty
Ranger D (Shroomish - Absorb)
"...and that's that folks! In one hour, we will resume this tournament. We are now at the quarterfinals!"
The crowd goes wild as the announcer makes his announcement. He then leaves and heads off with some of the tournament breeders to have lunch.
((Now you can explore and stuff until the next round. ))

The Pichu looks at you one last time, and then suddenly it starts changing...
The glow becomes stronger after a few seconds, until suddenly a burst of light radiates from the evolving Pichu...
Congratulations! Pichu has evolved into Pikachu!
The newly evolved Pikachu looks at you with its beady eyes and cries out:
"Pika pika!"
((LOL! Couldn't help myself. ))
You then scan the Pikachu with your Pokédex and notice that its ability is Voltage...just like the Breeding Tutorial had said.

"Oh!" Mina hugged her new Pikachu tightly. "My little girl's all grown up!"
A few minutes went by with Mina petting and congratulating her newly-evolved Pokemon. Finally she retrieved the open Pokeball and recalled her.

Having nothing planned to do right now, I choose to explore and see what's a small distance out of town.
((And I think I'll take Munchlax. Though, Murkrow would've been nice too. This Munchlax just seems more appealing. And I forgot about munch/snorelax being one of my more favored pokemon. Glad Kareeah decided to throw one at me... Even though it took a while to beat.))

The intermission between the second round and the quarterfinals comes to an end. Stacey finds some footsteps in the nearby forest, but is unable to find the source. Mina finds nothing around the town area.
The group makes its way back to the tournament grounds as the announcer happily announces the start of the quarterfinals. Most of his talk is the same as the other rounds, lineups and other boring pep talks. However, near the end, he says:
"Since you are all at the Quarterfinals now, each further win will also net you Battle Points!"
The crowd goes wild as it hears this. After a few moments, the announcer decides to repeat the lineups, since the crowd seemed to be in a daze:

((We're getting closer!))

((Well, not much I can do...you and Misty have to set up the battle yourselves. You choose the attacks and I do the calculations with the damage calculator...averaging the damage and also rolling for criticals and status effects. ))

"I won't lose!"
Yeah, well we'll see about--wait a minute. Mina did a double take. Her initial impression had been that her opponent was male, but the high, feminine voice argued otherwise.
Ooookay, never mind. Mina shook her head and returned her thoughts to the match.
"Onix, I choose you!" Mina cried out. "Use Rock Tomb!"

"Misty, huh? Well, it had to eventually come down to us battling within the group, I suppose... Unless we all had been defeated before this point, that is. But we didn't, and now... Oh, never mind that. Time to get ready."
I find Misty, wish her luck, then go to the arena.
"Alright. We'll start off with Slugma. Use Ember!"
I take the pokeball and toss it as I call out the attack.

Misty knows she could counter with a type advangtage with her Sudowoodo. Her growlithe and the slugma would take forever to finish a battle too. Besides she wasn't sure what other moves the slugma had.
Still, though she didn't mind taking the advantage of type advantage vs other trainers..she would feel bad if she did her friends.
"Growlithe go. Flame wheel!"
