Misty smiled at Mina. "See if you can get it back in the vortex! Be careful, it will try to protect that shield at all costs now that it knows we know. Going to try something different. Growlithe..use Agility!"

As draloed looked around the town he thought to himself
'I wonder if there is anything interesting to do...' But then he remembered that great looming tower. He made up his mind to heal at the pokemon center and then enter the tower.

Stacey knew nothing of any vortex, or plans relating to it. She just knew that the opponent had a shield, which needed to be dealt with.
"Throw another rock at the shield!"

Group:
Growlithe uses Agility!
Growlithe's Speed increases by two levels!
Oodramer uses Vortex!
Pyrath interrupts with a shield slam!
Oodramer flinches!
Oodramer's Speed dropped 1 level!
The captain seems to be moving much faster now. So fast in fact that...it attacks again!
Pyrath swings madly with its scythe! ((roll = 44))
Pyrath missed Oodramer!
Suddenly...
"Bayleef! Vine Whip!"
Pyrath takes no damage!
Pyrath is trapped!
As soon as the captain is trapped, its shield starts glowing again.
Fate looked at the scene confused and asked:
"Why does the shield start glowing as soon as it gets trapped?"
Spencer replies, in a hasty tone:
"I don't know and I don't care. Let's just take it down, shall we?"
Fate nods as he orders his Croconaw to:
"Water Gun the shield! Now!"
However, what happens next surprises everyone. Pyrath starts to twitch and convulse once again. You see it start to...melt under the unforgiving sun. It drops dead in front of the group and Zorpaleus comments:
"A creature so evil that it dies if exposed to light..."
Zorpaleus stares at the cadaver and says:
"We have two choices. We can head back to the tree, or we can go to the Fire Lord's Castle. Either way, staying here is a very bad idea."

Draloed:
You heal your Pokémon. As you make to leave the Pokémon Center, a young lady with a Chansey walks up towards you and asks:
"Do you by any chance have a Pokémon Egg?"
She then smiles slightly and pats her Chansey on the back, saying:
"She can feel the presence of Eggs."

Mina gazed down at the gooey carcass, feeling off-balance and a little shaken.
That was weird.
“Oodramer return.”
She held the Spectral type’s Pokeball protectively for a moment before replacing it on her belt; a small part of her, no matter what logic claimed, was sure that if she hadn’t been so leery around him all this time, he wouldn’t have been on the receiving end of that scythe swing. That he had escaped more or less unscathed did not assuage her feelings.
Mina was awoken from her reverie by Zorpaleus.

Mina remained thoughtfully silent at first, determining to let the rest of the group speak up before she voiced her mind.

“I think we should keep heading for the castle,” Mina said at last when no other replies seemed to be forthcoming. “If we delay for too long, someone’s going to notice this lot went missing,” she nodded towards their fallen opponents, “and come looking.”
She didn’t add the thought that accompanied the gesture. That force that had possessed Pyrath was worrying; without any idea of where it had come from, she couldn’t guess with any accuracy if their presence was already know by the local lord.
“Plus, Elder Roden’s already been held captive for a couple of days now; if we delay or not could make all the difference. But…” Mina trailed off, “I think we could also use a chance to fall back and get a better idea of what we’re up against. So if you lot think we should turn back for now, I won’t argue with you.”
Mina determinedly did not look at Spencer for that last part; it was his father whose fate hung in the balance here, but she couldn’t in good conscious let her friends get in over their heads and possibly killed if they didn’t feel ready to risk it. Her words to Dream echoed ominously in her head beside her internal promise to Spencer, and she hoped worriedly that she would be able to live up to both of them…

Fate steps forward, after a moment, and agrees with what has been said. He then says:
"Let's go then."
Spencer nods, commenting:
"What are we waiting for?"
Dove then starts speaking:
"Well, we can't just rush in there..."
Spencer snaps and retorts:
"Oh, so you're chickening out? It's my father in there!"
Fate glares at Spencer and interjects:
"You leave her alone!"
Zorpaleus moves in between the young trainers and says, exasperated:
"Are you two done? This is nor the place nor the time to be arguing. You're not the only people in this group. We should all decide, but do hurry."

Draloed:
The young lady looks at you and grins, replying:
"Well it's close to hatching, according to my Chansey."
The Chansey takes a few steps closer and hops a bit, then cries out repeatedly. The lady looks in awe as she then mentions:
"Also, it appears to be a new species."
Almost on cue, you can feel the Egg throbbing in your backpack. As you take it out, you notice it hatching.
The lady and the Chansey look on in surprise as it finishes hatching.
As the new Pokémon is born, it is unlike anything you've seen before. About a foot and a half long, it most closely resembles a mix between a lizard and an eel. A scan with the Pokédex triggers a strange sequence:
The Pokédex starts beeping and you read the following from the screen:
Downloading new Pokémon information...
...
..
.
Download complete!
Apparently, it wasn't new to someone...
Pokémon Info:
Name: Liskayo
Level: 5
Type: Fire/Water
The lady looks at it and remarks:
"Aww it's so adorable!"

Feeling as though she should be doing something even if they hadn’t decided as a group what to do yet, Mina wandered off a little ways. Keeping an ear tuned to the group as the others made up their minds, she poked around the fallen Tyrasin, checking to see if the slavers carried anything the group could use.

Draloed looked at the newborn pokemon, it appeared to be a slimy lizard, snake, thing... He wondered what kind of mysterious things it could do... he eventually decided to take it with him, poor thing needs the expierience to grow strong and mature.. Bading farewell to the girl and her chansey, he marched off to the tower.

Christian looked up at the others "Well, seems like we'll be going to the fortess of this fire guy. Fine by me, I need another chance at capturing one of these fine fire pokémons." he said.
Christian then remembered the Tyrasin he had captured and decided to call it out "Now little Tyrasin, you was captured by me, Christian. And if you know the rules then you know that I will be your new master for now and forward. And if you don't like it then I will just say this once: You'll get used to it" then Christian gave the Tyrasin a  face.

Mina:
You find little of interest, besides the cloaks the Tyrasins were wearing and their nets.
Christian:
The Tyrasin glares at you and proceeds to attempt to slash at you, until Zorpaleus steps in between you and the Shadowed Pokémon, and remarks:
"Very bad idea. I'd wait until you all get back to your Dimension before sending him out. He isn't going to obey..."
((Well, to be exact, it has a chance to obey. But then again, it IS shadowed.  ))
Fate and Dove appear to be talking alone in the distance, while an increasingly agitated Spencer finally stands up and blurts out:
"I'm leaving! With or without you all!"
He heads towards the Fire Lord's castle, as Dove turns around and points towards him. She makes to follow, as Fate grabs her by the arm. She looks back and they just stare at each other.

You head into the tower.
Once inside, you notice two doors. One is to your left and the other is straight ahead. Looking to your right, you notice text on the wall:
You who would enter the tower...
A secret lies within...
A sudden noise makes you jump. It seems to have come from the door on the left...

Well this whole ploy was a bust.
There was nothing, NOTHING useful as far as Mina could see; the cloaks proved to be part of the Pokemon ((at least that’s what you told me when I asked a few weeks ago)), so trying to pose as their fallen foes to sneak into the castle was out. There were no keys, either; it looked like they were going to have to knock down the front door after all, and on top of that a good portion of the group’s Pokemon had now been exposed to the Spectral Dimension. So they’d effectively wasted time and resources burying themselves even deeper in over their heads.
Mina was glaring irritably at the unconscious form of the last of the Tyrasin when she heard Spencer storm off.
Oh, drat. “Spencer wait up!”

Liskayo looked at Draloed eerily, It seemed like even as a child he felt the strangeness and potential danger of this place. Draloed upon noticing this realized liskayo is a name he would definitely forget, He decided to dub the small ell-lizard thing, Pylus. Draloed thought it fit him well.
Looking back at the doors Draloed decides to ask lisk... Pylus, which way to go. The poor creature pointed vaguely forward. Draloed continued Following Pylus's advice.
