As far as I see Al, you only want the money. Don't tell me about "fame", because you already ruined your reputation big time with this thread.
Not to mention, you were the best, without any prizes. THAT is fame and something to be proud of, but no, you had to start this thread to ruin your reputation along with your fame.

I see it's just me and only few others who think like that. Everyone else is happy and is playing (or not playing but talking a lot) for fun and for the statistics. I have no problem about it. People are different. Some play for pleasure and to win. Some play for fun only and hold tight the legs of their "generous" patron.

Short summary:
1. AL is 100% right for what he say in his main post but now he is abit rude. Maybe because alot people what dont have idea for real picture come and flame him with stupid arguments.
2. Ves did mistake but he is so pride and will not try to fix it.
3. Because only Strider will get in real money now (vex decline to get his prise) he have power to fix all this story with simple refuse to get prize too. But he think with his low activity and 50 games for almost 2 years he deserve to get money.
I dont think story can move in "good" direction so lets all stop comment and move on.

Maybe you will find one if my opinions interesting hopefully. so that's what i think right now. the truth is that i don't agree with a lot players from here. nobody agrees with everybody. yes i may have enemies although i don't see anyone as enemy. just as a disagreement. The truth is that real life is out there. not in here. here we should be discussing about the game only. and i have made the mistake of doing differently a lot of times. i accept that. but that's only because i get angry more times than i should. differences between us should stay only in the game borders. i just have to mention that i agree with Al when it is a matter of money that were promised. that doesn't concern me so i will not talk about it again. so if someone has a problem with me can send me private messages and discuss about it. i really suggest we stop this "war" and be more dedicated to the game. of course we can't be all friends and that happens in real life too. let's just not take it too far ever again. i never change my opinion about things i said but some times i regret having said them instead of keeping them inside. so i just want to reassure some of you that i am not hostile as you think, i am certainly not slow and i am honorable as i never cheat. we all do mistakes. and i admit them first. i don't want sympathy or bravos (if any), i just want this thread to be closed at last and focus on playing.i promise i will not refuse to talk with anybody who wants serious discussion but i promise not to talk (alot) with anyone that attacks me. think about it a little and put and end in it. stop calling names each other and as long as it doesn't harm you keep your opinion for some players inside you. i will not keep hard feelings for anybody and i wish that would happen with everyone towards everyone. have fun playing

Problem is how you read what i'm say. I dont know how old are you but simple you dont want to understand main problem. Its DOUBLE STANDARTS. Another funny part is how Ves drop prizes because people was inactive so he will not give prize to most active ppl.
About "jealous on Strider". He is not any for what i can jealous him.

Two days away from computer and i gotta take a day off to get up to date in the community, amazing. Glad to see it seems to come to an end. Nice last post Vangelis. Read it through when times get rough and aggression rises (I guess we all need that from time to time).
One comment in these 11 pages made me laugh out loud, but I will leave it at this. Nighty friends.

Its been so long since I played in ToH, but reading this makes it feel like yesterday
What a thing the internet is, a world where people feel they are owed something for playing a game, and participating in a tournament that costs them nothing to join...
Ves, your stamina and ability to deal with BS blows my mind
I must admit though, this thread was great fun to read - especially the mention of Bonapart.. I'd forgotten about him completely!

Had some thought about this, and really thought about posting or not.
I'll make some statements as I see them :
1 : Ves A.K.A. father of ToH made a promise for some prize - promise that he didn't keep
2 : (to al_killmore) although I don't know Ves, I can see that you stated what you want in your very first post -> everything else is just crap, insults and names -> this comes to nothing, you should just grow up, and stop waking in a haven castle and being a hard ass -> if you’d be less emotional you’d won a lot in this life [i’m not talking about inside-heroes life] -> you’re just another unhappy kid, along with others around; - based on your last posts, I’m offering to give you the money, just email me an account, and I’ll make the wired transfer – you’ll get your prize and, from what concerns me, you can consider it on the behalf of Ves – the only condition for the prize is stop making waves for nothing;
3 : we ALL are people, so in every community will be people like this; I think that everyone has it’s own place; some of us are more emotional, some are less (no more names);
4 : I think that respect means that you’ll act well no matter what... I just wonder how many of you kids around know how to be respectful even if the others are not respectful for you... you just came here : stated-insulted-insulted-insulted-insulted-insulted-etc.
5 : did any of your deeds SOLVE a thing...aaaa... NO...
6 : since when insults EVER solved something!?!!
7 : I consider that no one should ever accuse a speciffic individual that has invested so much out of his life in this [errr... snow the money that he put in, those money came out of his passion for this]

11 : honor/fairness are related to the judge, so stop making claims about honor, and how honor should be and how honor is; you can’t define a subjective thing.
12 : there’s no fun for you, and as far as I’m concerned you’re not playing the game for fun, so stop investing in this bad mannered community, and big-dark-bad-Vesuvius
the forum is for expressing opinions – that’s what I’ve did; if anyone feels the need to burn me for it there’s HC messenger and persoanl email;
PS : I talked seriously about the money, I’ll do it just for some of you ever realise that a game is for fun, working is for money.

First of all, mostly poker tourneys are NOT for free. So you have to BRING money to be able to WIN money.
Second, this comparison lacks a bit in details. It should more look like this:
- A poker tourney was announced. 1000 players have been expected to participate. The prizes were defined before the tourney started. But now, time after time, more and more players refuse to play, because the playing room is in a cellar of an old house, no windows, no service, unfriendly people etc..
Instead of 1000 players, there are only 6 players participating. Can we call that a "competition" any longer? Isn't the main idea of that tournament completely lost now? Wouldn't it be honorable, if those 6 players accept the completely changed situation (because they didn't intentionally participate in that tourney coz of the money, but to end up as BEST poker player!), to wait till again a real competition starts and it is worth playing?

Nothing you can do but move on.
You can keep playing in toh or you can move elsewhere.
I know how you feel, but there is nothing you can do or say that can change the outcome.
There is no activity.
Only 11 clans which is hardly enough clan teams.
You said what you thought was right.

During the last ToH Clan season there were 25 clans and 75 players.
Most of them were in the top of ToH individual chart.
The first six clans had over 1000-1200 games played for that tournament.
In this tourney every player BRINGS something - more than an year of his free time. And TIME = MONEY.
ALL THOSE PLAYERS WERE CHEATED by Vesuvius.
And a person who cheats for money deserves every rude word that he gets. I'm not even saying half the things that I want. (Someone already mentioned the Code of Conduct)...

Dude, I'm pretty sure that most people weren't playing for the money and they just wanted to play for fun. Don't you get that? Do you even know what the concept of fun even is? Honestly, who cares about the money? Ves made a mistake in the first place by saying it, but what's done is done. Get over it and grow up a bit. Ves edited this thread title in a perfect way because this is exactly what it is, just another drama.
