Pandora,
Respect is a mutual thing.
You want respect for Vesuvius.
But he does not show respect for the active players.
All I hear is ToH history this, ToH history that, so great, so long, so hard to build, etc., etc.
What about the present ?
Nowadays everything in ToH site is left to the automated scripts.
Heroes community is left to the moderators.
The ToH site is not updated for years even when it comes to such important things as money awards. Why is that important? Because Money is not just a game any more. Money are Real Life thing. If you cheat or take money by fraud in RL you can even go to jail.
And he did just that. Basicly he cheated for the money.
A "millionaire" gone cheap. Disgusting.
And he cheated me. He cheated my friends. He cheated my most skilled and honorable opponents.
How could I possibly respect him ???
I see that most of you admire the person that he was in the "old days". But respect is not granted once and forever. It must be earned - over and over, again and again. Each day, each Heroes season.
And for the last season I didn't see much from him that deserves my respect.
On the contrary ...

But i can tell you what changed for me.
Before i respect Ves. I did all what i can to support ToH and up activity. I was most active in chat room/msn. Talked alot with new ppl and help them how to join/play in ToH. All this is did because i wanted to HELP Ves because he is ALONE. He did all for free and pay for us. For this i was debt to help him.
After he drop his prizes its not changed much for me because i didunt care for money. They are so low to can be get serius. But after AL start this topic and alot ppl start blame him with Stupid arguments its pissed me alot. Now after great idea from Strider_HL: prizes was droped with 250 not half, and support from great mathematics TheDeath i'm totaly pissed from "father" and think he is realy cheap man.
He was ready to pay over 2000$ prizes for idividual chart and 1050 for clans. If he drop all prizes half its 1525. If he not make "mistakes" for clans and pay how he did every season all ToH history he need to pay 2000& so he can drop all prizes with half and will give less money.
In short i can accept excuse for pay half prizes to all because its true. Season 1 was abit inactive. But he remove all prizes for clans and drop all other with half. No any official annonse for it and explain why. Its not normal.
Now i loss all my respect to "father" because for 525$ he is ready to kick out ToH name in rubbish. You can continue talk "how Great is he" and its will be true but cant change his action and result from it.

How many times must I say this? There is no contract. There are no charges. There are no fees. He has no obligation whatsoever to give money out because you think you deserve it. You played for NOTHING, you didn't give, you just PLAYED. That is, played for fun.

When there's no obligation, when there's no contract, when there're no fees...

Costs:
$115 per month (hosting, support services etc)
occasional programming fixes (eg. during the hack attack) add $500 or so yearly
Original automation cost: $4500
And once again to Al Killmore, no, I don't feel it justified to pay $500+ for a clans that was not really completed, and was with (YES) only two dozen active players. Just because there are 50 others on a list that didn't play, it doesn't mean anything. If you saw the original clans pages/templates when homm5 began, there were slots for a predicted 80+ clans minimum. Even the points system was designed to work with a huge clan base, and since there wasn't the system really didn't work.

So why didn't you just half the Clan prizes as you did with the other three ?
Low activity applied for all ToH tournaments, not just for Clans.
The Clans generated most of the games in ToH during this season so why "punish" the players who did their best?

Did you read what he said? It has nothing to do with punishing anyone, the amount to pay out couldn't be justified by the low numbers of participants.

Did you read what I said ?
The activity was low in ALL THE TOH.
The MOST ACTIVE were in the Clans !
90% of the EMPERORS, LORDS, LEGIONAIRES, BARONS - were in the Clans.
So why ? Why insulting ToH's finest ? Why cheating them without any warning ?
