Ves, i'm sure if you did this explain early AL will be not so mad. Money for us are only bonus for good job. We get for want we come: 1st place. About money prizes. Activity was very low for all ToH in season one. Best will be if you drop money prizes for all. Giving money only for individual chart will kill clans in future. No points for emperors/lords to play clan games with nobies. So activity will drop again short after people up in chart.
I realy dont want double standarts in ToH. So far if you ask Strider to void prize and he refuse its enough for me.
All what i want is love and peace in forum.

You are making some interesting confessions in your post.
With all the "hard work" you put in ToH during the last two years (Heroes 5 multiplayer started in the end of 2006) you didn't even notice that you promised awards for the ToH tournaments ??? Quite strange... But yet you "knew" that those awards were "unrealistic"...
Mistake ? Yes.
Neglecting ? For sure.
Overestimated expectations ? Could be.
What you are forgetting here is that your personal mistakes had CONSEQUENCES.
I already spoke about FAKE PROMOTION and FALSE ADVERTISING.
With your "mistakes" you MISLED a large part of the players. You LIED to them - even if it was not by intention.
Now you blame UBI. Now you blame the players who want their promised prizes. Why ? You are blaming them for YOUR OWN MISTAKES !
You deny taking responsibility for your own actions. For your own mistakes and for their COSEQUENCES!
I just noticed something funny - it was a phrase just below your moderator title - "Honor Above all Else"
It's funny because i do not see honor in your current deeds. In your actions I see something different: "Money Above all Else"
It's not like you didn't have any options. After all UBI bugs and the general low activity apply for all the ToH tourneys. You could cancel all the prizes. Or give half prizes to all the winners.
But no. You gave HALF prizes to only two players - MVP Vex and most points Strider_HL. All the others are UNIMPORTANT for you. ToH Clans were MISTAKE. Clan winners deserve NOTHING because Vesuvius is UNHAPPY.
That is not HONOR.
That is some cheap playing and has nothing in common with JUSTICE and FAIRPLAY.

What posible makes you so certian there was no any game of heroes might and magic before 5th that was plaied in ToH?! fifth is by far the lousesit..he means probbly the third if not thesecond.
I think your overreacting,forget ,you whine,end of story,no money,and say thanks your aloud to live. next!

it's evidently that is topic is going no where.
Now this is all pointless.
If you dont like it, then just leave.
Ubisoft is money hungry, I think we all know that with other games.
They get money from certain games, then they cancel any agreements.
It would be alot funner for others if we had the zone or even gayspy.
This topic is pointless now, Nothing will change.

Idea:
What about donations? ToH would remain free (therefore not scare the players as fix payment would) and there will be eager participants to contribute to the continuation of this beautiful project. (ex: me)
This topic HAS a point. Bringing in new ideas for this situation not to happen again. To save Ves new headaches, and the whole community a more satisfying game experience with those we like.
Donations would be an interesting way to finance Ves'es time and dedication. Put a link for donations on ToH and you will see what I mean in 24h.

I'm not an active TOH player... but I have a lot of time on this community... and I can safely say that ves is one of the persons that made more for this community and the longevity of this franchise...
so none should come and call him a dishonorable man... Im sure he has expended more money on heroes tournaments than anybody else...

I don't need donations, all I ask is people to enjoy the game, and report their wins/losses for records and history. That is what makes me happy.
And of course vangelis21 had to put his own little HC message input:
"so everyone starts to see what you really are. thanks for the replies to my emails too. shame just shame"

Lord crusader what we need is someone to stand by our problems and guide us through toh. when the main "character" of toh is eagerly ignoring players' emails and concerns then for me is not respectable

infinitus you are right. toh is a great place and that's why i have spent so many hours in there. but tell me if i am wrong in what i say. when i play with someone, win and he refuses to report. should i take my points or not? and when the "honorable" ves has my replay, save and discussion with the guy that didn't report and he ignores it complete for what honor you are talking about? is that the plan now? "if you are screwed is not ves problem" ? that's what i am talking about. where are the players in the hall of shame? why some people prefer to close their eyes and not to see the cheaters? i may have strong opinions and express myself rough some times but i never keep hard feelings in me and certainly don't cheat. But why not to have someone to keep belance and rules in toh?
Whoever understands what i say his reply is more than welcome, whoever doesn't understand or wants just to talk back to me better do it in a private way. this thread is not about me and better not to do it like that. just make toh better

Because, vangelis, I think Ves is not judging that easily....You will see probably, in time, that even if you played honest and fair, there will be always someone to acuse you man!.....
And then...surprise<...even your friends, won't take act with at least a word for your side...
This is what Ves knows and never judge that fast like the most of us...got that? simple as that.
It happened to many players in this place, and will continue, right acu?

i agree with you diegis. and when asassinos didnt report 2 games i had won i myself said that as long as i dont have proof i will not take it further. but how difficult and risky is to judge when i sent him the save of the game and the msn text that the other player was saying "i will not report the snowing game " etc etc? this is just lack of will to help the community. and that's what bothers me. and especially when it comes to a player like me that have 200 games... what more does he need to trust something? maybe to pay him...?

I do agree with Al that a heads up would have been nice that the tourney was going to go a different direction. I dont give a sprites ass about the money and totally understand Vesuvius's decision, activity was nowhere near justifying cash prizes.
I guess what disapointed me was how season one clans ended. One person started a thread on how its "unfair" that the top clans were so far ahead (although some people had to put nearly 300 games in to get it there while the people complaining had only 50 or so). Now with near the same amount of time vested into clans second season half the games of the first have been played. Even though it disapointed me ive no right to blame anyone it was a majority vote that it be restarted...something like the entire community to one  .
For the first time and possibly the last I agree with Jinxer lol. (Sorry bud most of your posts make no sence to me). The attacks on Vesuvius have to stop Ive spent almost 10 years in his tournament and have had a lot more fun in them than if I didnt. Ive seen a lot of other heroes sites come and go, but this one seems to have a habit of sticking around.
Suggestions for people angry: Start your own site investing tons of time and thousands of dollars, dont make posts attaking humans who are capable of making mistakes, If your gonna leave just do it and shut your cakeholes cause you might ruin it for the people who enjoy it.

Sure, i'm a new guy aroung, you owe me nothing. You were here 10 years, I was here just two. You saw the creation of ToH, its rising and growing up. I'm seeing just its old and weak days - the parkinson, the amnesia, the inactivity.
You give credit to Vesuvius for the old days. I wasn't there and then. May be money weren't so important for him in those days. May be he wasn't offering false prizes and he wasn't making convenient "mistakes". I don't know.
What I know is what I see today. Right now I see a bit different picture:
All I wanted is same rules for everyone. No exceptions. Prizes (even reduced) for ALL the winners - not just for the selected few.
All I received were some pathetic excuses from a cheap liar and even more pathetic insults from some jokers "protecting" their patron.
I say this is WRONG and this is not the RIGHT way for ToH and for any other tournament that demands RESPECT from its players.
You can light the torches as much as you want - I don't care.
Because the TRUTH is on my side.
