I laughed for some reason.
Pretty sure it will be a different kind of "laughter" when it comes out.

I think it can be good, but I worry that a classic is being remade into something it never intended to be. I can only judge from the movie, the trailer was not bad.

I am excited - Ghostbusters is a movie that could make this sort of thing work REALLY well - but I'll retain judgement.

Is someone else excited for "Finding Dory?!" Only me? Well...
Speaking of the "Ghostbusters" - the trailer was meh. I haven't seen the original and this trailer didn't make me want to see this sequel/reboot.

I liked both of the 80's Ghostbusters films, they were fun and the actors worked well together for the comedy. And you gotta love the theme tune
I thought the trailer for the new one was okay but it doesn't look like it's going to be successful... it was hated by many of the old fans ever since it was announced, and to be honest, I wouldn't have been thrilled by a remake either if the original had been part of my childhood.

I thought the trailer was mostly mediocre, but Leslie Jones has that comedic thing where she just yells and you laugh. I believe that it will be Leslie Jones and Kate Mckinnon that will make the movie good.
Finding Dory looks super fun and great.

Go see "Zootopia." Period. It is gorgeously animated, really funny but it also has a great message.

To engage female audience. Men generally dont care that much about a gender of a main hero of a video game/film, but women respond to such a product more positively if there is a main heroine. That's why Star Wars is such a success (of among many other reasons) - in all three trilogies in the main troika of heroes there's always a strong woman - a person to which the other 50% of population can relate to.
Additionally, we live in times when equal representation of both sexes is something many care about (not only women,) thus more movies have female leads, including action flicks. This can be later used in marketing to show how progressive a particular movie is.
The last aspect is money - more gals in cinemas means more people in cinemas and that leads to greater revenue at the box office and big studios love $$$.

Ratings don't lie. It's just that good... which is great cause I was interested in it since it was annouced. Might be the first blu-ray in a while that I'll buy, even if it's for my niece
And about Ghosbusters trailer - imo it's one of those rare times when I think haters are in the right: this will not work, the trailer is really bad if you ask me, and it seems to only confirm that... and don't want to be sexist here, but the all-female cast is more of a manifesto, then a decision that will "enrich" the expierience. And to tell you the truth I don't like these actresses: their acting seems forced an phony...

Speaking of feminists and women in general, I've just seen "Thelma & Louise." A great road film with two amazing protagonists. And these locations... Big from me.

The first two Ghostbuster movies played a lot into the light humor surrounding the habits of nerdy guys, sort of similar to what the Big Bang Theory does. They're doing the same thing with the new movie except tapping into a band of goofy/ditsy sisters this time.
It was an intelligent move because otherwise it simply would have been a 3rd Ghostbuster's movie that happened to come out over 20 years after the last one. It's also marketable because they're still going to draw in men to the movie, because it's Ghostbusters and that's all we care about, but they'll be able to draw in more women too. I think it's going to be a lot of fun if they do it right.

I've heard this rumour too. He is going to be a terrific Gordon. Maybe Babs as Batgirl/Oracle will show up too...?
