Agreed.
Alan Dzagoev for Russia is doing wonderful as well, Benzema is playing great, as is Ribery, Iniesta and Ozil are performing well also. But then again, that's expected. In Greece's first game Dmitris did great, but seems to have simmered out after that.
Favorite so far is Alan, though.
Ronaldo has been a disappointment, Torres sucked against Italy but I think he redeemed himself against Ireland. Cristiano has yet to do so.

Özil is disappointing after 2 matches. He should play on a different level normally, as he does with Real Madrid.
Best player in german team for me is Mats HUMMELS. Great performance as a centre defense player so far. And Manuel NEUER, our keeper, is also doing very well.

RUSSIA - Huuuuuuuge disappointment
GREECE - Respect! they show the character, and this guys never give up!
CZECH R. - I think that Poland was just too weak..
GERMANY - along with Spain the most likely winners of EURO
PORTUGAL - Ronaldo finally started scoring!!!
NETHERLANDS - upset of the EURO 2012
lets see what happens in Group C
Spain is through for sure..
the question is Italy or Croatia..
I support Italy with all my heart,
but i am afraid Croatia will draw with Spain, and Italy will be out..
But i do hope Spaniards wont give away the draw, and will beat Croatia

Russia was an embarrassment. That game was awful. But at least they did well at the start of the tournament - unlike the Dutch. Zero points for the 2010 World Cup finalists; that's pretty embarrassing. No one doubted Germany going through, the question was if they would win or draw. Good to see Ronaldo stepping his game up, even if I dislike him. I think Spain will beat Croatia 3-1 and Italy will beat Ireland 3-0, pushing Spain and Italy through.

That's not that easy, look how it could work out (Italy will win vs Ireland in those examples below!):
1. If they draw 0-0, Italy will be first in group (In direct comparison between these 3 teams, all have the same points, but Italy will have scored 2 goals, while both others will have scored 1 goal!), and Spain will be second (same points and goals in direct comparison, but all in all they scored better (4-0 vs Ireland, while Croatia only scored 3-1).--> Croatia out!
2. If they draw 1-1, Italy needs a win with either at least 3 goals difference or with 2 goals, but at least a 3-1 (a 2-0 won't be enough), then Croatia will be out. When 3-1, Croatia and Italy are completely equal, then the UEFA ranking will decide, and there, Italy is ranked higher than Croatia!
3. If they draw 2-2 or higher, Spain and Croatia will both be qualified, no matter how high Italy will win against ireland! (because of the direct comparison between the 3 teams!)
So as you see, it could become very tricky...

Congratz to England for another win and to France for still managing to advance. It's sad to see another host get knocked out but I can't say I'm not happy with the results. Sorry Chevchenko

Ukraine and England game was an excellent point for having video confirmation in the game. Ukraine was robbed from an obvious goal.

Yeah, the same length inside from the goal line, Cassano's head was counting as a goal, but Ukraine's was not.

Agreed. Probably English deserved more to go through, but at least its not a shame to be kicked out this way. Congratulations to teams, that made it to the quarterfinals. Will root for Italy.

You do know that the attack should have been stopped because of offside long before the "goal" right? Just sayin'

Aww, Poland and Ukraine are out. I hoped for a real party, but I guess that's what happens.
It's still cool though. Here the other day a nude girl, age 22, came with this message "Go boys, just like in 92", refering to Denmark.
The 'funny' thing, apart from that she would have been 2 in 92, and I'd really not like to think what doomforged fauchian things the 'boys' did to her, when she was only 2 years old, is that in 92, Denmark qualified with a loss (vs. Sweden), draw (vs. England) and a win (vs. France, in the last game, France who'd won all their matches in the qualifying group, just like Germany and Spain), but a scoreline of 1-1-1 would actually have been insufficient to qualify, because then both Denmark and Portugal would have had 1-1-1 and Portugal won the match against Denmark with 3-2.
So I think the nude girl who were 2 years old in 92, probably didn't really know what she was talking about. Heck sometimes I think I hardly know what I'm talking about. Oh well. I cheer for Spain, and would like both Portugal and Germany to be eliminated before any of these two sides gets to face the eventual winner of the tournament.

That Portugal-Czech game was kind of disappointing to watch. I'm glad Portugal made it through though. Ronaldo's reflexes are scary.
GL to England on Saturday.

Which means, having video confirmation for the goal line alone won't be enough - in this case Ukraine would have gotten an undeserved goal.

I just realised, had Netherland proceeded in stead of Germany (also beating Greece), had France won against Spain and if Italy beats England, then the semi finals would have been identical to the euro 2000 in Netherlands.
So I guess this means England will win WC 2018 in Russia. Funny to think that the Manchester - Chelsea CL final was also in Russia.
